Sensing the power coming from the shinigami who had decided to attack her, Mari used sonido and stepped aside. Now there were two powerful shinigami...two that she wasn't really in the mood to fight right now. She wanted to kick some a**, not lose. "Unfortunately for you..."

Looking at Asuma, Mari realized that there was some sort of resemblance between him and the little white-haired Captain. She giggled at this, noting the armband. "Well, little Lieutenant...I am afraid that I must be going now!" She opened a garganta behind her, but faced Asuma as she stepped back, the index and middle fingers of both hands pointed at him with blue reiatsu gathering at the tips of each, growing until they became one large, glowing ball of reiatsu. "Have fun!" were her parting words as she stepped back, letting the Gran Rey Cero shoot toward Asuma as she stepped back into the garganta, which immediately closed behind her.

As Mari tried to escape in the garganta, Asuma's right hand shot forward, next to his blade, stuck in the ground from his attack. Before he could charge a reido, Mari had charged both her cero's into a gran rey, and fired them at him. Growling loudly, Asuma put both hand forward, palms flat. "Reido." Focusing reiatsu into both hand, they gave off black steam, as a large black beam shot out, slamming into the gran rey. Both shot against each other for a split second, before exploding out, making a cloud of dust fly out everywhere. As it cleared, Asuma stood there, a scowl on his face. "And there goes the one chance I had to kill an espada. I'll remember your face, wench." Grabbing onto his zanpaktou, Asuma sheathed it on his right hip, turning around to face the others. "Is anyone else hurt?" Hiding both hands in his pockets, Asuma tried to hide the still smoking burns on his hands, caused by the large reido he had used. He didn't want to alarm anyone, but he was exhausted. He had come from one fight to another, and it took a heavy toll on him.

((Eh, I don't really feel like switching over to my mule to post, so here it is on this account. Sue me. Hehe just playin'.))

Brow furrowing deeply as he watched on to see the man, who he had correctly identified as a vizard, float around in midair over the three-part series Sin had performed. Even with his stamina boost, using an attack that was normally only obtainable during his release would take a small toll on him if he wasn't careful. And yet... he didn't want to raise the bar just yet. No, he would just have to try to make this man do it first. Gritting his teeth in anticipation, he sighed as he indeed correctly interpreted the impending counterattack on its way, which in this case was very much similar to the former escapade. Stepping forward once more, he sidestepped and then flickered his body in a randomized repeating pattern that successfully diverged from the thin array of blasts and bolts.

...But that was not the main drive of his foe's attack; no, far from it. To Sin's utmost surprise, he now found himself face to face with a gran rey cero that surpassed his own in magnitude, if not power as well. Eyes wide as dinner plates, he attempted to control his racing mind and heartbeat in a blind rush to gain a foothold on the situation. If he didn't, death was but an embrace that he would have to bear. Bringing his hands back, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. The steady pulse of his energy within was enough to serenade his mind and provide him with new resolve.

He was calm.

Forming his hands into claws, it soon became apparent what was really happening: a sphere of blue light expanded steadily in between the gap and formed into a dazzling, sun-streak shape with rays flowing out of its depths. He charged it once more, and...

"Stop...looking...down...on...me!!!!!" Sin roared, throwing his body and the flare in front of him as the opposing beam closed in on him. A flash of light and a piercing whistle accompanied the motion, and then a loud bang greeted the clash of waves. The sphere exploded forward with a tremendous burst and hit the center of the vizard's head on, piercing through due to its smaller radius and higher concentration. The motion payed off as the blasts diverted each other, and then dispersed; the larger cero from the vizard moved outward and away from Sin without harm.

...But that was not all. No.

During the motion, Sin had performed a daring and risky maneuver; while his opponent would likely be focused on the two blasts and not able to directly see Sin through the bright energy, or even sense the presence due to the conflicting wavelengths, Sin had used a powered sonido to travel scathingly through a gap between the blasts and behind Jan. With the fiercest expression imaginable planted firmly upon his face, Sin brought his blade up, and then down once more toward the vizard's exposed back. The sapphire surface gleamed in the lurid light of the two colliding ceros...

Although Asuma had tried to hide it, Melohim who had been watching his every move saw the burns on his hands. He wasn't one to talk about something others obviously didn't want mentioned. Walking over to Asuma he said, "Um Asuma fuku-taicho, I can see you're tired from fighting and all, but what are we supposed to do about that?" With a wave of his arm he indicated Tansen's mansion, or at least what was left of it, large sections of the building had been destroyed by the various cero, light beams, and bolts of lightning that had been used in the course of battle. The mansion was beginning to look a little like Swiss cheese. Much of the surrounding forest had been destroyed as well due to the gran rey cero having such a wide damage area. "I don't know about you, but I don't want to be around if Tansen taicho has to see this, I think he was rather proud of it."

((Since no one seemed to think about the environmental damage I thought I'd put this in XD))

Waiting silently as the Arrancar below him yelled and released large amounts of energy, Jan wondered if he could finally face an Arrancar's Resureccion, which he had not seen since fighting Triox ages ago. He didn't mind the fact that his energy was being pierced through if it meant that he could fight a decent opponent in the end. However, he soon took notice that he was unable to feel for his target's nervous system briefly. Of course, when one has an opportunity to use a sneak attack...

Jan simply released his hold on the air around him and began dropping down as the Arrancar struck at the empty air where he had been. ...It's from behind nine times out of ten. Not bad odds for a gamble... Twisting his body in the air to get a look at his opponent, Jan was disappointed to see the Arrancar had not yet released. Maybe I can force it by overwhelming him a bit... "Yuusha, Fujiko-chan!"

Holding his katana towards the Arrancar, a bright flash of light signaling it's release, Jan now held a naginata in his right hand. Thrusting it upwards, he released a large amount of light energy at one from its blade, extending outwards in a conical fashion. "Shining Lance!" Jan also continued charging the Hollow-based energy in his body, waiting for it to reach a good amount before releasing it. Besides, this attack should suffice for now.

Turning to see what Melohim was talking about, he almost fell over when he saw the mansion. "Wha...craaaaaaaaaaap....Tansen's gonna kill me..." Looking around quickly, Asuma tried to see what he could do. Then, he remembered something. "Wait...Tansen's an alchemist...he could fic this place up in a second. Anyway...we don't have the means to do anything to it, unless he wants half his house made of metal. I think I can safely say...8th Squad, let's go!" quickly turning around, Asuma wanted to get his butt out of there before Tansen came back to see it. Motioning for the others to follow him, Asuma waited for a second, for them to get together.

Rios had drifted away from the oithers as he thought about his part of the fight. "If only he hadn't used that stupid Cero I might have done some damage." He had went inside and found the kitchen before opening the secret door to the room full of rum. He picked out another nicely aged bottle and let his tail grip it as he left the kitchen. When he passed threw the doorway back outside he noticed the huge hole and kinda laughed. "Wow Tansen is going to be pissed, but hopefully he doesn't care if I take this." Rios started to think of a way to give Tansen something if he did care about the rum.

All of a sudden everyone could see a 6ft 4inch werewolf bound off towards the gate back to the gotei. When Rios was within the city he stopped at a garden and picked a black rose and left without a trace. He bounded into a graveyard as he lept over a wrought iron gate. A wilted rose was sitting on a grave with a couple of scratches on it. Rios laid the black rose down on the grave and shed a single tear before running off. He landed near the gate and ran through.

((please the will be no explanation of the graveyard for it be a personal secret, and one other person knows who's grave it is... left some pondering there for you.))

Since Melohim was already ready to go, he thought it was a good time to ask some questions. "Asuma fuko taicho, where is Tansen taico anyway? I kinda figured he would be back by now." Melohim let some of his worry for the captain show upon his face, the captain had been gone for quite some time.

Getting an annoyed look on his face, Asuma looked forward. "I'd like to know that, as well. I haven't seen him since we split up to investigate the city. Reminds me to kill him when we see him, Melohim." Setting his right hand on his Katana's hilt, Asuma's left hand came forward, making a dagger in his hand. Stabbing it forward, Asuma motioned for everyone there to get into it. "Ok, now. Everyone here thats here from Seireitei, get in. I'll stay behind for the time being." Turning to Melohim, Asuma sighed. "Melohim, I need you to make sure everyone gets through the portal. If...or, when, Tansen gets back here, tell him to go to my office when he gets back. It's very important that he does this. Ok?" Sighing again, Asuma shook his head. "I'll see you around, Melohim. Remember what I told you." Looking up at the sky, Asuma's image faded, as he used a shunpo to leave the mansion grounds.

This man is becoming a bother... Sin thought to himself as he started to drop out of the air, following downward and looking down upon his opponent. ...Should I do it? No... I have not yet been truly threatened, he pondered. Flipping in the air, he raised his blade up in front of him and narrowed his eyes, anticipating the imminent return attack by his opponent.

And then his eyes widened. The vizard had just released his blade, and sent a spiraling beam of energy in Sin's direction. So he resorts to it first... but will it be enough? He wondered, questioning whether it was worth calling upon his next level just to combat a shikai released zanpakuto. Not yet... He decided, opting to fight the assault with his own abilities rather than pull out his last resort so early, and for so little.

But how do I fight it? Sin asked himself with gritted teeth, realizing that his current position in the air, mixed with the speed of which the incoming attack was proceeding, and the fact that his opponent was already charging for another assault, meant that he was in a terrible position and could likely suffer if he did not act smart.

And then it hit him. Instead of fighting the spearing wave head on, he merely had to take measures to avoid it by a large margin. Charging up energy in his palms, he spun in the air so that his back was facing the ground and released twin ceros from them. With the force of the blasts, Sin was repulsed downward at a rapid speed, and the conical spear continued past along its trajectory without harm.

To follow up on his own narrow defense, Sin responded with a quick and not-long thought out counter. Flipping to face the vizard, he punched the air twice and launched two bala attacks in quick succession. Not highly effective, but not suspected at the same time, and with the annoyance of Sin's avoidance and the fact that the vizard was already preparing his next move meant that his awareness wouldn't be as sharp. Of course, this was only speculation...

Jan made a slightly disappointed face when the Arrancar dodged the Shining Lance, but he only had to turn downwards and release the energy he had been charging for some time. Charging complete! Well, then.. These Balas are nothing to us now! Then I'll show this guy what happens when he messes with me!

Even though the Balas were somewhat unnoticeable, Jan's release of a second Gran Rey Cero was more than enough to overwhelm the small attacks. Since he was aiming down at a falling opponent, Jan knew that the only way for him to doge was on the sides and kept his weapons ready, just in case. If he survives this, maybe I can even get a little information out of him! Laughing hysterically as the last traces of the Cero left his mouth, Jan was already feeling around with his Detection Field, assessing where the threat would come from.

"Yes sir" Melohim gave a little bow as Asuma walked away. He then waited by the senkai gate for Axel and Revlis.

Sin watched on as his attacks progressed, his blade in hand as he continued to fall out of the sky. But they did not last long; no, it became sickeningly clear then exactly what his opponent had been charging for an extended period of time: a gran rey cero of substantial proportions and definitive power. This is bad... Sin thought to himself, cursing under his breath. He had absolutely no way of avoiding a blast of that stature, and certainly could not block it with anything in his arsenal--his own gran rey would not be able to divert the opposing one in time, and Sin would take the backwash of the conflict, dealing heavy damage.

Unless... Sin bit his lip and thought to himself. No. No... I don't want to fall back on that. But I have no other choice... damnit! He cursed in his own mind, then finally straightened himself out in the air and raised his zanpakuto slowly in front of him, placing his free hand on the flat of the blade and closing his eyes. He immediately seemed to freeze in the air, and a resonance emanated from his body in the same instant. The wind was still... not even the incoming attack could seem to protrude through the calm of the moment.

It began with two words...

"Agrávese... Disensión."

The blast looked as if hit Sin head on, and the light from the attack seemed to absorb him and everything nearby. But then there was a loud booming noise, and the cero split down the center. Yet what was standing there in the gap between the energy could hardly be recognized as Sin. His entire body had become smooth, encased in the bone-like material customary of all hollows. His other ear had sprouted a spike to match the left one, and the hair between flowed to the back instead of to the side. Spikes extended from the back of his heels, viciously curved and sharpened, and at his arms on the sides there rested two semicircular jagged armblades. His stomach, which still retained the hollow hole at the navel, now was adorned with an intricate set of markings around the circle that spiraled in a clockwise fashion. The most interesting part of the figure, however, was a set of eight "wings" levitating behind his back: long spikes of the same bone-like material that jutted out to the sides. The source of their levitation was not apparent, but Sin now appeared to be effortlessly floating in midair. To complete the image, his entire body was stained a marvelous shade of blue.

For a moment he remained hovering in the air, saying nothing, his body limp. Then, slowly, he let his body tense up, legs spreading in the air and arms rising up with the armblades facing outward in front of him in an X formation. The expression on his face was masked by shadow. All was quiet, until Sin finally broke the silence with a single sentence, naming the entity that he had become from the resurrecion...

"Vanguardia de la Luna de Zafiro."
