And she took that head shake the wrong way. She tried to ignore the pain in her chest as she spoke the next words as bitingly as she could. "What, don't like it? Ready to pick up and leave like the quitter you are, now that you know you can't "fix" me?" She forced her body to not tremble and her eyes to glare. Tried to convince herself that she was perfectly fine before him, thank you very much.
