Matthew was taken by surprize, he wound his arms around Amanda burrieing his face in her hair. If you stop crying I defnitly will, when your in pain I'm in pain love..

Neasa forced a bright smile on her face and stepped back, reaching up to ruffle Toby's hair. No way she was telling him she was in love with someone who was still only words on a page, she had this scary mental image of a psycho Toby killing everyone in her head and she did NOT want to see that anytime soon! What harm could come from keeping this from him, anyway? She did like him, and besides, there had to be someone in his story he had liked, right?

"Well why aren't you saying anything?.... Are you mad at me?" Toby questioned, looking depressed. Toby then pulled Neasa into a tight hug. "I'm so sorry for yelling at him Please forgive me.?" Toby pled.

"Ok, I'll try." Toby smiled, then got emotional, "Wow, I wished I had somebody like you in my story. Mine was all swarmed around killing and fighting, which is why I am having a really hard transition here in this place. So what was your story about anyways? I am guessing better than mine considering your nice nature and beauty." Toby grinned.

Neasa's heart gave another one of those dejected thumps. "Back when I was beta, I was the only one. See, the pack is run by the strongest, right? My brother was alpha, so I was made beta. And, techincally I am the only alpha. I'm the the last one left of my pack."

Amanda stayed where she was. Im not in pain..Im just pissed off..not at you..at Toby. He didn't have to be such an a**.... she pulled away slowley and looked at Matt.

Matthew reached over and lightly touched amandas face, he then removed her tears. Smiling. As bad as things may be everytime I'm around you my knees give way, my heart bangs agaisnt my rib cage and I end up smiling..
