Bethany slept fitfully, and not for very long either. "Stupid wraith..." she muttered as she pulled on a satin robe over her nightgown and got up. She looked at the clock. "Ugh. Only an hour of sleep... oh well, I guess I can go up the attic and get some work done..."
She crept out of her room, trying hard to not wake her guest as she pulled down the ladder in the hallway that lead up to the attic. She climbed up quietly, and turned on the overhead light, before sitting down at the desk with her microscope and small fridge with blood samples inside.

I grinned at the wraith and found the martini shaker, pouring in the correct ingredients for the drink I had fixed myself and made one for him. I poured the pink contents in a glass and slid it to the enshrouded figure. "Try drinking," I said, in a voice that almost sounded like encouragement.

I looked at the glass hesitantly, "I'm not sssure..." I said quietly. C'mon, just try it. I reassured myself. I gripped the glass and lifted it to my hood, Now where's my mouth? I wondered... I picked a spot and poured the pink liquid down my 'throat'. I could taste the drink, or at least get some illusion of what it tasted like, "It's delicious..." i said, judging from what I tasted. I looked down and noticed that the drink was slowly dripping out from beneath my cloak, "Oh, I'm sorry, not quite solid yet." I said, slightly embarrassed. Embarrassed that's a new one, I'm starting to feel more and more.

The embarassment in the disembodied voice was almost reassuring. If this once-nothing death-thing could become something once again, maybe there was hope for... well, everything. "If Erik was here, I'm sure he'd be able to do something to make you more... well, more," I said, voice regretful. "I don't know where he's gone." I sighed sorrowfully. "For all I know, he's not coming back." I bit my lip to abstain from crying. I didn't want my little brother to leave me, damnit. But he was protecting Sean... Maybe they were happy together, somewhere. That was all I could ask for.

I sighed, though it made more of a hissing sound, "I'm sorry, I'm not sssure what I did, but I feel like it'sss my fault Erik left."

I tossed my luxurious red locks over my shoulder nonchalantly as I shook my head. "No, it's not your fault. Sean left because... well, who knows. He got scared and left. Erik went with him. Plain and simple." I shrugged and tossed back the remainder of my beverage.

The moon was blacker than night and yet could be seen clearly; the wolves one by one stopped their running and just looked up at it. Finally one wolf, silver with age and huge compared to the others stepped out of the forest amongst his kin. He looked at the Obsidian Moon with eyes that had seen to many years and too many sorrows, until at last he looked away from it, sadness showing in his amber eyes. "My lord....what is wrong?" he looked up and saw a female from his vast harem, what was her name? Ah yes, Elisebeth. "Nothing my dear. Just memories of a time when our beloved was not always as dark as the night but was as white as a virgin fang." he sighed and looked back up to his, and all the lycan's, mistress and sighed again. The young female looked at her master in awe, she knew he was old but to able to remember the "Time of Purity" was unimaginable and yet he was still the werewolf leader of all. Strong with a vast intellect, he showed know sign of his age except his silver mantle of fur. "Come, we must continue if we are to make it to the Kingdom of Immortals." with that said he threw his head back and gave the mightest howl ever known to wolf kind, the signal which he has used over and over to move his kin on.
I awoke in the night with a cold sweat. Looking at the clock on my bedside table, I grimaced. "Ugh, I need more sleep." pulling the covers over my head and closing my eyes I went back into the dreams of my people.

Bethany dropped a vial when she heard a wolf howl come up to the attic from inside her own house, startling her. It hit the floor and shattered.
"Crap." Beth said as she picked up the tiny shards of glass, before depositing them into the trash can. She yawned at looked at the clock. "Geez, it's nearly six already. I gotta get ready for work."
She scurried down from the attic and into the bathroom between her room and the one her guest slept in, tossing off her clothes and getting into the shower, as she turned the water on. She turned on her water-resistant radio and sang along to the music as she got cleaned up.

My ear twitched when I heard singing and the sound of running water. Looking at the clock I reliazed I was doomed to not go back to sleep and sat up scratching my head. "Oh well, never too early to start the adventure of a new day." I said as I stood up. Going over to the dresser I pulled out some dark blue jeans and a pair of socks and some underwear. Clothing my lower half I walked over to the closet and pulled out an old black and white flannel and slipped it on. I noted Bethany was still still in the shower and headed to the kitchen looking for a pan.
Finding the pan I took some eggs out of the refrigerator plus various things like cheese and vegetables. I began to make two omelets, listening to Bethany sing slightly off key in places but over all sounding very pleasent.

After a short while, Bethany turned off the water and reached out, grabbing a bath robe, putting it on before exiting the shower. Her stomach growled at the smell of something delicious being cooked in the kitchen. She quickly brushed out her wet hair and pulled it back in a ponytail before walking to the kitchen.
"Oh wow, that smells heavenly." Bethany said with a sigh smile as she got a pair of glasses down from the cabinet. "You want milk, juice of coffee?" she asked the lycan.

"Milk will be fine." I responded as I was finishing up the omelets. "I hope you like omelets, they're about the only thing I know how to make decent at least breakfast wise." I grabbed two plates and slipped the food onto them. Setting them down at the table I decided I should probably take a shower myself. "Do you mind if I use your shower?" I asked hoping to wash the dirt and grit from my journey off.

Bethan poured up the milk into cups as she nodded her head. "Go right ahead." she told him with a smile that was a little less shy than the ones she was giving him the day before. "I have to eat and run this morning, I got first shift after the openers down at the coffee shop today." she said as she grabbed a fork and started digging into the omelet. "This is delicious."

"Thank you." I said in response to the milk, the shower, and the comment on my food all in one. Draining the glass of milk I walked to the bathroom. I turned the water on and slipped out of my clothes folding them neatly and setting them down. Getting into the freezing water as always forced my body to shiver once involuntary. Images associated with the cold bubbled forth from my memories showing images of snow and of lonely nights. Sighing I began to wash myself. Noticing the miniscule details of the bathroom slightly showing it belonged to a female, and the scent of Bethany still lingered in the air. Clearing my head of the thoughts that began to intrude my mind, I concentraded on the sound of the running water.
