Beach Barf

((Haha!)) Pasha glanced up sleepily at the announcement, and smiled with heavy lidded eyes. She was simply too full to bounce, but she did perk up as her name was announced as one of the winners!

Surprised, Melisande tried to float a little higher, and groaned. It felt like she had a back pack on! Except...in the front! Offering a wave to Yuurei and Lucia, she brought her hands together in a patter of polite applause before slumping back down to rest on the bar.

It had been fun, but she wasn't sure it was entirely worth the price!

Aki, however, was thrilled. Lifting her drink, sloshing just a bit, she cheered along with the others. "I knew you could do it, Pasha! And go Yuurei!!"

Altair nodded at Zayne lightly, acknowledging his personality flaw, and chuckled at Damien's exuberant personality and demeanor. "Once again," he said, making sure that the youth wasn't misinterpreting his words again, "I think of them, and bring them to reality with my hands and any materials availible, not just my head, but it does take some deal of intelligence to do that, if I do say so myself." He sarcastically made a "hair-flipping" motion with his head, while simultaneously making sure his hat didn't fly off his head in the process.

As the child asked to be taken to England, Altair laughed once again. "Well, you see, taking you to England would require more forms of transportation than I have access to as of right now. I just meant that it looks pretty much the same. Maybe you'll go there someday and you'll see what I mean," he said with a nod and then raised his eyebrow and scooted a few inches away from his companions. "I can't say I'd fancy getting buried."

After the child gave his own story, Altair smiled and patted his head. "That sounds smashing, I'm sure you're feeling much better now," he said, looking over at Zayne and grinning. "Such a good hearted chap."

As his leg was getting sore, he tried adjusting his position, but he then realized he was unable to, due to the large ammount of sand piled up on. "Errr, a little help here, mates?" he asked, looking up at the two helplessly.

((Eating Contest -> Sand 'n Stuff))

Niksia had been watching the contest with varying emotions, and facial expressions. She was glad now to have not signed up for it, having seen at least two people be sick and most of the others look like they wanted to be. Seeing Raevans join in such an event was a surprise, but they appeared to be the slightly more grown up ones. Hmm, you learned something new every day...

Niksia gave a quiet round of applause for the winners before moving away, quite glad for the excuse to look for some shade. The bar was busy, an obvious choice she'd resorted to a few times already. Even the beach seemed covered in more people than she remembered seeing earlier.

Having earlier ignored some of the various towels and parasols dotted around the beach, Niksia lay down on one of the many unoccupied towels and shut her eyes. She decided to doze for a little while, promising herself to wake up to watch the next event.

Eating that many pies would make any one sick. But it was a just as bad for some of the crowd and they were just watching. RoChan in particular did not like the idea of seeing a few of the contestants run off to purge, nor did she actually like hearing the wrenching noise as one of the half bodies emptied out the pies into a nearby trash can.

“Ugh. I guess that’s my cue to go.” The blue haired dragon frowned in disgust and hastily rushed to grab her yellow inner tube that had been left alone at the bar. She never heard who the winner was, but whoever it was she prayed that they also won’t hurl. Who would ever want to play in a contest where it was just going to end up coming back out the same way it came in? RoChan gave a shudder of disgust and took a deep breath of the fresh salty air of the ocean.

A few minutes with the sea salt wind calmed her uneasy stomach and the dragoness felt as if she could go back and at least find out the outcome of the pie eating contest. A gust of wind caused her blue eyes to look over to her left where she saw yet another half body playing with a shiny object. Instantly RoChan’s attention was captured and she walked over staring at the object until she identified it.

“A camera!” She stated out loud excitedly before looking up at the owner. “What type is it?” She causally asked shifting the white polka dotted yellow inner tube to rest on her hip as she inspected the machine. ‘Shoot. I miss my camera.’

David quirked a brow at the word "incest." What was she going on about? Choosing to ignore the statement, the Asian male simply laughed in response and then watched as Ebony wandered towards away from him, walking into the soft caresses of the sea. The risible smile lingered a few moments more after David had become silent once again, following the woman curiously to the water's edge. Removing his black sandals lazily, he took a spot beside her in the tranquil waters, flinching just a bit at the unexpected chilliness of them. Shoving his hands roughly into his cargo pockets, he let out an agitated sigh.

"It would be unfortunate, wouldn't it?" he breathed tiredly, his grey eyes calming as they watched the sparkling waters with a half hearted interest. They disappeared momentarily behind heavy eyelids, before reopening with their usual charm, "Are you going to watch me play? Because, if you were, then..."

He left the sentence at a cliffhanger. Whether Ebony watched him play or not wasn't really holding his attention, for the competitive gears had started to turn thanks to her influence. What would he do if they ended up on the same team? ...He sighed again. Probably take that pansy out first. Whether they were teammates or not.

Bumped into, Wit stumbled back suddenly, jolted from his reverie, toes digging into the sand as he steadied himself gracefully. Cocking head at this strange newling that had crossed his path, Wit smiled faintly, "Is to be being fine." He assured, able to tell that the other was a mite shaken for some reason or another.

A tongue slipped out for a moment to wet lips, and green eyes glimmered with soft amusement. It was hard to offend Wit, for the fellow really wasn't completely sound in the head...intelligent, yes, that couldn't be denied, but his mannerisms were not remotely resembling of what someone would deem 'the norm'. "What were youses running so very quickly away from? Hmmm?" Leaning closer, he blinked slowly, catlike, the lazily interested look on his face a possibly intimidating thing to the shy and timid.

This one was different from the others, and he interested him. Not as much as the half-creatures, but those could be investigated later as well. Very lovely little party they had going here too...

Rivener startled at the sudden exclamation from nearby, curling in on himself and cradling the camera protectively away from the approaching girl. Red eyes frowned slightly, but he had to admit, after seeing the girl properly, that there was probably no threat here. She didn't seem like someone who'd steal his things. Or maybe he was just thinking that because of the silly polka-dotted tube resting on the girl's waist.

"It's a Nikon D40x. It's mine,"
Riv stated, just to make it clear. "...You like taking pictures too?" he asked then, feeling chatty if only because the topic was one he was truly enjoying. Lifting the camera, Riv pointed the lens at the strange woman with the tube, snapping a photo. He grinned smugly, raising an eyebrow at the lady. "What's with that?" The Scorpion pointed at the tube, unable to keep his curiosity under wraps.

(( Beach Bar // Beach Bar ))

The paintball is coming up soon. Lazarus thought weakly as he hovered towards the beach bar and slumped in a seat next to Alex. Laying his chin on his folded arms on the table surface, he wasn't feeling so excited for the competition anymore.

"I saw that," Kyou said simply as he flung a towel he wetted in Laz's face. "You smell pretty bad, better wipe yourself up and get ready for the Paintball war." Taking out a clean glass, he poured a glass of water for Lazarus.

Pulling the towel, Lazarus wiped his face thoroughly. "Paintball war? Was I signed up for it?" he asked, doesn't recall that he did.

"Yeah, seems like you are. And according to this sheet you're assigned into We'rika's team." Kyou said as he referred to the sheet of sign up paper.

Lazarus sighed. He was half tempted to ask if Kyou signed him up for all these events, but he don't have the energy to at the moment. "Alright then, might as well..." he muttered weakly and drank the whole cup of water in one go. At least that washed down the after taste of vomit in his mouth a little.

“Only for your other teammates.” She smirked as she looked out towards the big beautiful horizon beyond. It would have been nice to take a dip right now, but the paintball game would be starting soon and she had yet to answer his question. Would she watch him? It seemed so odd for him to ask her that. Ebony couldn’t allow the man to think she was too into him or else he’ll get too full of himself. It was better and far more fun playing hard to get.

She was quiet for a long while as she contemplated his question, twirling a loose strand of violet on her finger. “Hmmm…I suppose…I could…” The woman got another devious glint in her silver eyes when she smirked again towards David. “But it’ll cost you.”

((Sand n’ Stuff))

RoChan merely blinked as the red and blacked haired raevan emphasized that the camera was his. ‘Ooookay…’ What did he think she was going to do? Steal it? Though a bit surprising she didn’t let him deflate her excitement. It did however start a thought process she didn’t think to include with the half bodies. ‘Was he a child?’

"Yes, I like to take pictures. If I could afford to, I’d collect cameras.” Well the actual term was horde, if she could afford to she would horde them away into every nook and cranny she could spare. “I have an old Cannon rebel and a newer Nikon SLR but I like the manual ones better than the digital SLRs. Cheaper and keeps your brain ticking. Had to buy the Nikon though for space spotting. The most expensive piece of equipment I have ever bought.” With a heavy sigh the dragon continued to ramble on. “I really should have just opted for a telescope. No body ever wants to really take pictures of stars and planets.”

The dragon was tapping a slim finger on her chin her face contorted between a thoughtful look and crooked bemused smile when she heard the familiar snap of the camera. Instantly dropping the pose she gave the leg less creature a half lidded look in response to his smug smile. RoChan was never photogenic which is why she preferred to be the one behind the camera and not in front of it. “Cute, real cute.” She commented, now displeased with the childishness.

However, the next question swayed her emotions and demeanor. “This?”She held up the inner tube before her, curiously looking at him through the tube’s hole. ‘He doesn’t know what this is?’ Truthfully RoChan had only had three encounters with the half bodies, and two of them were shorter than the encounter she was having now. It wasn’t enough of a good time span to gather enough information to how the creatures were and how old mentally they actually were. Still it was hard for her mind to grasp that maybe, just maybe they really were just like children though they looked so much older and had not seen enough of the world just yet.

“This is an inner tube.” She started, her motherly inclination beginning to take hold. She loved kids so her disposition of the young frei changed. “It helps keep people afloat in the water. Not something I think you would need.” She half joked but still pushed it to him to take. “It’s really just full of air but kind of fun to play with in the water and even in the sand.”

David flinched at the word "cost", recalling one of the reasons he had been so interested in the violet-haired woman in the first place. But he kept himself composed otherwise and made sure not to give even the slightest hint of hesitance. Running a lazy hand through his short black hair, David slid his enchanting mask on once again, this time making sure it was secured. He would not stand this wavering between moods for much longer. It was just too exhausting even for a liar like himself. Now, returning to his companion, he attempted to turn the tables, "Remember what you told me earlier today? That you're out of my league? Sooo if you're allowing me to "purchase" your attention, it would be a clear sign that you were lying before. This would imply that I have something good enough for you, would it not? So. What will it be, Ebony? Will your presence at my game be free, since you're unattainable anyways, or will it still cost me, forcing you to admit that-"

He broke out in an absolutely devilish grin, proudly flaunting his alluringly white but dangerous smile, "I've gotten further than any other guy has with you?"

He let out a soft laugh at the end, breaking eye contact with her and staring back out to the glistening sea, "Please. Don't take that last half as referring to sex either."

"That makes me feel a little better," the woman joked, "I'm not half bad in the kitchen, even though I don't have the inclination to cook for just myself."

Alex's bright eyes danced with intrigue, nodding as he listed off various drinks. "I haven't heard any complaints, so I assume you're doing a smashing job. Fresh fruit juice can't be beat, although I do enjoy tea when the weather is cool," she agreed. She blinked a few times as Kyou's demeanor turned slightly more playful and devious, a grin hooking the edge of her lips as she leaned over like a child sharing a bit of gossip. "Are you allowed to share? I'll keep your secret--"

It was a good thing she was mostly sitting, or she might have jumped into Kyou's arms at the sudden slumping body at her side. Ah, it was Kyou's Raevan! She observed him quietly while the two talked to each other, smiling once more as the Sigel downed the water in one fell swoop. "You did really well," she complimented him kindly. Alex pushed her own water towards him, in case he wanted more, chuckling, "Do rest for a moment, I don't imagine paintball would be quite as fun on a full stomach."

His charm was beginning to fail as those shiny orbs became dark storm clouds when she narrowed them ever so slightly toward David. “When I said I was out of your league, I was being coy. I was trying to convey in a very subtle manner that you were actually out of my league, but I suppose you took it too literal.” The woman sighed heavily, her interest in this man beginning to dwindle. That was until he flashed those brilliant white teeth at her. Damn.

Ebony’s gaze grew colder and darker with his next statements though. “You presume way too much, Mate. But perhaps it’s my own fault for allowing such a good mood to effect my actions.” She began storming off then, not entirely sure why she was mad, just that she was. “Good luck in your match. I’ll be sure to root for the other team.”

Rivener laughed to himself as the woman explained what an inner tube was. "I know what is IS," Riv said, grinning. "I meant, why do YOU have one. You can't swim? It's for kids, and you're an adult. That's what I wanted to know. But that doesn't matter anymore." Rivener didn't even want to talk about the tube anymore, not since the blue-haired woman had said something else that had REALLY piqued Rivener's interest.

The Scorpion floated up to a "standing" position and advanced, coming closer to the lady, looking positively interested now, almost awe-struck. "Who cares about the tube, really. Tell me more about that camera that takes pictures of stars and planets! How expensive is it? Where can I get one? Do you have lots of pictures of stars?" Rivener was uncharacteristically excited. He smiled dazzlingly and bobbed up and down as he talked, almost like hopping softly in place. This was the best news he'd ever heard; a camera that could take pictures of stars! He hadn't known that existed! He knew about telescopes, and while those were interesting, they couldn't take pictures!

Rivener wouldn't need to go to the planetarium as often if he could just go outside every night and take millions of pictures of stars! His hobby and his food, all mixed up together! That would be amazing!

"Can you exchange your camera for mine?"
Riv offered the Nikon, knowing that it was probably not even close to a fair trade, but hoping that maybe there was a small chance the lady would agree to it.

David let out a disappointed sigh, finding the woman's sudden anger almost predicted, but he had wanted to test his boundaries. He had known that sooner or later she would probably grown to dislike him, like so many other of his lovely fireflies had. One moment they'd be all over him, glowing brilliantly, the next..flying away, an infuriated flame now burning within them. Oh well. Something about Ebony though, made him want to push his luck even further than he already had, despite the fact that it was clear she was irritated and no longer taking his charms playfully.

"Whether you're rooting for the my team or the other's," he purred, making sure it was loud enough for the disappearing woman to hear. He walked a little further out into the water. His body was cooling down quickly and yet, this dangerous interest in the lavender-haired woman was burning intensely. "Either way, you'll have to watch, won't you? I wonder what face you'll possess when the results are announce. I feel like, whether I win or lose, you'll walk away from the game unsatisfied."

He threw his sunglasses back at the sand, followed by his scorching top. And then, before giving Ebony a chance to fume, dove into the chilly depths of the sea, hoping to cleanse his mind of the heat. Or was it the tension?
