Ryoko gave him a questionable look.
"drinks huh?" She knew he meant candies, there really was no stopping her husbands sweet tooth. Ryoko took a few step forward and there in front of them both, at the bottom of the stair, stood their daughter.
"Ah but-Ki-love, my hair was never such a brilliant shade of red, like yours." she stood next to her husband trying to hold back a few happy tears and smiled sweetly at her daughter
Akki looked up at the pair of them, her mothers hair was longer, much longer than she had remembered and her father, looked much older as well. She stood there transfixed on them, waiting for them to vanish as though they were dream.
"otousan...okaasan?" Her voice sounded so foreign to her. Akki took a wobbly step up before lunging at her mother and father with open arms hugging them both simultaneously

Ki almost fell backwards when Akki jumped on them. He could have sworn he hurt a crack but dismissed it as there was no pain on his back.
"Akki." Ki called out, ruffling her hair. "You really have grown...tougher. You're going to hurt your father if you hug any tighter." He laughed. Its been a while since he teased his daughter.

Akki cried onto their shoulder she could feel them hugging her back, her father joking with her, as though they had only been apart a few days
"otousan,...you so..." she laughed and sobbed all at the same time not wanting to let go, fearing that they would disappear but in the end she did let go to get a look.
Ryoko wiped away her tears.
"My dearest akki, come now, where is that beautiful smile"

"Will you look at this brat? All grown up and still crying." Ki chuckled. "I supposed we won't be having dinner alone, eh Ryoko-dear?"
He patted Akki's head, and smiled. " We have a lot to catch up. Like really a lot. For example, when are you going to find someone and settle down.."

Akki laughed and wiped away the remaining tears.
"i may be a brat, but that just means i inherited my bratiness from you" She pouted and wrinkled her nose a bit when he mentions marriage. letting out a groan.
"come on, we've been apart for 400 years and all you can think of saying is 'when are you going to get hitched?'" Akki said in mocking voice, still smiling hoping that her dad really was just joking.
Ryoko laughed and hugged her daughter one more time.
"well look at you, all grown up, don't pay attention to your father about getting settle, as i recall, he was nearing his 900 when when he settled" She said throwing Ki a playful looking.
"well, im still hungry, let go get something to eat shall we.

Ki blinked at the two women, and shrugged. "Yeah, I have to wait that long until your mother comes along. Seriously, what's with this two against one eh?"
But he laughed and nodded. "I concur, lets get something to eat. And then, Akki, bring us to the Clan's leader. We still need to introduce ourselves and get permission to live here..once again."
Ki walked down the remaining steps of stairs and towards the entrance, expecting to see another old friend.

A light hue of pink spread over her cheeks when her father mentions the clan leader.
"Kagai..I'm sure he'll let you stay, he's not so bad"Akki gave a half shrug and headed down the stair,hoping that they missed the small blush on her face.
Ryoko laughed and took Ki by the hand and followed Akki downstairs.

Kagai was laying there on the second floor of the palace where the orphanage was and some of the kids staid. There was a small mob of children having there way with him. A set of twin girls braided his pink hair wile a group of other kids held down his legs and arms. there was a pair holding down each extremity he arms and legs moved slightly under there weight. Kagai was not really struggling much he just laid there defeated.

"What? 'Kagai' ?" Ki paused. "Oho, a not so bad leader eh. It seemed you know him, more than just him being the leader. So I assumed, you know where he is staying?"

Akki rolled her eyes a little.
"Dad...everyone knows where he lives." once at the bottom of the steps, she pointed out the door."you see that massive castle there..that's where he live."
She took a seat at the restaurant portion of the Inn.
"and, yeah he's not so bad, everyone here has had an encounter with him, he help those he need help, and takes in orphans and such"
Ryoko chuckled softly at her daughters slight embarrassment. taking a seat next to her.

Ki sat at the seat, facing the two ladies. "I see. Well, he's a much better leader than me. All I could think of was rebuilding the Fire Clan, and thats that. How about if you ask him to join us now?"
He chuckled, as he beckoned for a waiter. "You two order first. I'm not sure what to anymore. As I'm getting older, my appetite changes fast. Mmm."

Akki paused a bit.
"um..."She looked down at her bandaged leg 'i've taken enough of his time today'she thought to herself
"why dont we just have dinner the three of us, you know catch up...Im pretty curious where you two have been, i searched everywhere for you dad, and i never found you." She rapidly changed the subject.
Ryoko looked at Ki with questioning eyes.
"you still have the same sweet tooth from when we met..so it could not have changed that much." she said in a teasing voice eyeing the menu.

-By the time he had made it to the Inn, Enishi had already taught it through about what had to be done. He had collected a few things from the Market...which he backtracked to get, and had nearly wore them all by the time he entered the Inn. He had written a note for Crimson and slowly made his way to a table. The featureless mask covered his face, and he tried his best to hide his power.-
"Some tea please," -he asked with a soft voice, keeping the letter rolled up and placed by his left hand that was sitting on the table.-

"You could be right. But I still don't know what to eat." Ki replied. He then turned towards the waiter.
"Oh well, I'll have red tea for drinks. Plain rice with steamed fish, roasted chicken and fried veggies please. Make it for 3 persons. Oh, erm... sweet potatoes after the main meal. Make them really soft. Thanks."
As soon as the waiter left their table, Ki could feel a familiar presence. Not the energy.
He could not help but be drawn towards the masked man who sat alone. Ki kept glancing towards him, but made sure that the stranger didn't notice it.

Akki noticed Ki glancing at the stranger, she felt it too, the familiar presence, the smell of the woods and off dirt.
'..enishi...' She let out a soft groan, and the menu back politely.
Ryoko sat there she had the best view of the stranger. She on the other hand wanted to ignore him. After many years of peace and quiet, she had grown quite found of it and rather not make a fuss of things.
