Rainfur shuffled his paws as he watched Silvertail's daughter become an apprentice. He hoped Silvertail would be okay. She seemed to be composing herself well.

A bemused smile of sorts lingered on Dampfoot's muzzle as she watched the excitable kit finally achieve the apprentice status she so desired.
Doubtlessly the newly-titled Moonpaw would be buzzing by now, every cat in camp knew how much the youngster had been anticipating this moment.
She flicked her ears and stole a glance at Silvertail.
It didn't take a genius to know that this was a hard time for the protective she-cat.
She hoped Silvertail wouldn't take Moonpaw's appreticeship too hardly.
Finally, Dampfoot swivelled her head to catch sight of RiverClan's new medicine cat.
Things were finally starting to look up within the clan, and even Dampfoot was relieved.
Now the only problem remaining unsolved was their missing apprentice.
Though Dampfoot doubted Torrentstar would let Sandpaw remain within WindClan boundaries much longer.
She twitched her nose, causing her whisker to quiver fretfully before turning back to the cats of RiverClan.

Moonpaw gladly touched noses with Ravenfang, happy with having Ravenfang as a mentor. Her eyes just seemed to scream, It's happening! I'm an apprentice! Even though she was tired, she felt like she could run to Silverpelt and back. It was her turn to be an apprentice of Riverclan! Moonpaw looked over at Silvertail, feeling happy about the protectiveness Silvertail had provided her. She simply nodded her head as a thanks to Silvertail.

Ravenfang meowed nervously, "Um...I know you're tired, so you should probably go to the aprentice den now Moonpaw, we'll explore the boundaries tomorrow morning. I need to go talk to Silvertail for a minute." She padded over to Silvertail, "Can I talk to you for a second?"

Moonpaw jumped up and down excitedly. "Really? We can go outside of camp? Neat!" She mewed. "See ya tomorrow, I guess." She quickly turned tail and began to walk towards the apprentices den, but steered off course and landed infront of Airpaw instead. "Hey! Looks like we're denmates, huh?" She mewed, a new-found energy brewing inside of her. She felt like she could out-run any rabbit, beat any dog in a fight! It felt great!

Icetail, who had been cheering along with the rest of the clan, now quietly slipped back to the warriors den. It was late, and he wanted some sleep. Surely he would be sent on patrol tomorrow. Once he arrived in the den, he quickly went to his nest and got comfy, then slowly fell into a deep sleep.

Silvertail was surprised to find that in that small nod, was more gratitude than she ever would have expected from Moonpaw. The shining excitement in her eyes sent another shiver of pride through her and she felt happy. She watched Moonpaw until she reached the apprentice's den and appreciated how naturally she fit in there. She will be a great warrior one day...
She caught a few curious glances as the crowd dispersed and she returned them with smiles. She touched noses with Pebblefoot and Dampfoot, in turn congradulating them and being truly happy for once, without having to force it. That was a good feeling.
She was surprised when Ravenfang came up to her with such a serious tone in her voice. "Of course." She mewed a bit taken aback. "What is it? Is something wrong?"

Torrentstar nodded. Happy with what was accomplished and ready to finally sleep. He stood, one of the last to do so, and touched noses with Dampfoot. Then he quietly whispered in her ear. "I'd like to discuss something with you tomorow come see me in my den after the first patrol has left."
Then he touched noses with Pebblefoot grateful for her already being so comfortable with being medicine cat. It wouldn't be long before Riverclan was thriving again. Just as soon as this snow melted.

Crystaleye smiled widely during the ceremony, but felt worry grip her once again. She wanted to go talk to Appletail once again...but he was in WindClan...but...she gave a small sigh, and walked with tail drooped to the fresh-kill pilel. She got a small fish, and began to eat it slowly.
Owleye looked at Crystaleye once, seeing her sadness, but feltl ike it wasn't her business. She walked into the elder's den and slept.

"No, nothing's wrong. I just wanted to make sure you're okay with me being Moonpaw's mentor. If you have any problems, we can always talk it out." Ravenfang was unsure how Silvertail would react to what she was saying.

"Congrats, Moonpaw." He mewed as he passed her on his way to the apprentices den. He pushed through the entrance and settled down in his nest to sleep. Hopefully I can go training tomorrow. He thought.

Dampfoot nodded obediently to Torrentstar as he left, looking mildly puzzled.
She briefly wondered what it might be that her superior wanted, but he hadn't seemed particularly upset, so she concluded that it couldn't be too much of a worrying matter.
Dampfoot stood slowly, stretching her front limbs out in front of her and causing her rump to bob comically in the air for a few moments.
She felt lightheaded and somewhat spaced out with delight, although that could be a little down to being tired too.
Dampfoot briskly surveyed the camp before padding towards the warriors den.
She crawled inside and curled up in a corner, waiting for warmth and fatigue to draw her into a restful sleep, a tiny, inconspicuous smile resting on her muzzle even as she slumbered.
[ ... Deputy sleeps in the Warrior's den right? ouo;; It's been so long since I read the Warrior's books! D; -brick'd- ]
