"I'm not pregnant!" she eyed Elli in disbelief as it finally clicked. "The only father I could think of is Adrastos." her brow raised. "We'll never be together though..." she stumbled off remembring that night. "No, father doesn't know." she didn't even realize she had called him father, for she had been calling them both mother and father for so long she didn't realize it.

Elli gave her an eloquent look, and smiled as she gave up a name.
"Andrastos, hmmmm?" She murmured. "Why can you not be together? I don't think Rackna would begrudge a father his right to his children.. My King is too kind-hearted for that..."
She cocked her head. "Unless, you do not want to leave us child... Which of course we would not make you..."
She nosed the lioness lovingly.

She looked to Elli trustingly, "He has his own pride and he knows I am happy here, I haven't seen him since it happened and all." She looked to the little sleeping cub and back to Elli, "I don't wish to leave, but if any of my cubs wish to go with him and what not, I wont stand in there way." She looked up as she felt a pain shoot through her, she thought it was jsut a cramp she didn't know anything about babies or having them.

Elli nodded in understanding.
"I see... Did you know, my friend Illitashia was just like you in that respect.." She smiled. "She didn't really feel like she was part of that male's Pride, but if her children had wanted to go with him, she would have let them... Thankfully, Amirah, Mika'il and Akitana loved their mother so, and stayed with her.."
She shifted her position slightly. "And they wound up growing older with my own cubs.. Rellick, Brazen and Jadera.... As far as I know, they're all still very good friends."
She quieted for a moment as her cub stirred, then spoke again.
"Illitashia had three more cubs, and was taking them to their father's lands so they could choose where they wanted to live... Perhaps you will do the same?"

"We are both loyal to our prides and thats how we shall remain, I will do as this Illitashia, you speak of has done which is very wise in my opinion. I will not deny them their father." She chuckled "I wonder what Rackna would do when he finds out, serious or suprised. Whats your guess?" she asked starting to get in her usual playful mood.

Elli smiled whistfully at her friends name.
"I miss her.. And yes, she is very wise... Perhaps she'll come visit soon..."
Laughing at Briseis's teasing remark, she flicked her tail. "Surprised.. My Love will be very surprised I think..."
She chuckled and nosed her sleeping daughter. "And I think Aritania will be pleased to have someone to play with.."

She smiled, "It would be a pleasure to meet her," she added. "I think it will be interesting, to see his reaction." she smiled warmly as she looked down to the sleeping Aritania and was still in disbelief that she was going to have cubs of her own.

((Ok.. Now I have to bring in Illi because I can't just hover in Wonka's lands forever! XD ))
"A pleasure to meet who?" Illitashia purred, appearing from behind the tree.
At her heels, a grey cub in a lilac jacket padded, wagging her tail. Lilac Wish Wonka gave a feeble smile and then hid behind her mother's leg.
"Illi!" Ellidanio smiled and greeted her friend with an enthusiastic nuzzle and a purr. "I was just telling Briseis about you, and you cubs."
She peeked at Lilac. "Briseis is expecting her first litter."
Noting she hadn't made introductions, Elli cleared her throat. "Illitashia, Roaming Queen of Rose Wings, this is Briseis, the daughter of my heart..."
Illitashia smiled and bowed her head in greeting. "Congratulations on your first litter, and well met.."

Briseis was in awe at the unexpected meet which was a bit coincendental. "Thank you, Elli was telling of you and your deeds. Tis a pleasure to meet you Queen of Rose Wings." She was an very pretty lioness in her oppinion. She looked at the hiding cub, seemed many lionesses had cubs during this period of time.

Illitashia smiled. "My deeds? Oh dear.. I hope not when she went hunting even though she was pregnant because I was hurt.. Not my finest hour."
Ellidanio laughed. "No! More of you giving your cubs the choice on where they were going to grow up... Are your son's are still at Wonka's Pride?"
Illitashia sat and shook her head. "No.. Just beyond the border in the unclaimed lands, with Talcorin to protect them.. I wanted to come see you, and your new cubs..."
She turned to Briseis. "I have no doubt you will love being a mother.. It is one of the finest things in the world I have known..."
Lilac Wish crept out from behind her mother and padded to sit at her forefeet, looking up at Briseis with wide eyes. She gave a timid smile then buried her face in her mother's side, embarassed.
"Congratulations." She mumbled.

Briseis watched the cub, "Why thank you," she smiled warmly to the cub as she started to hide again. "I hope I can rise to the standards that you and Elli have went above and beyond with being mothers, I just don't want to fail miserably at it." She had noted she was good at hunting, swimming, climbing and other things but could she be a good mother?

Elli chuffed.
"There's no doubt you can go wrong my dear.." She said and then grinned. "With such stunning rolemodels as ourselves?"
She laughed and nosed Briseis, teasing.
Illitashia laughed. "I learned from Elli, and her cubs... I doubt you'll have trouble, most of it comes naturally, the rest you just have to watch... And learn along the way!"

She stuck her tounge out at Elli as she teased her which made her look rather comical. "Thats what I'm afraid though. I'll try my best though, and thats all I can offer." she smiled, she felt like one of the girls or elder lioness more grown-up now.

Elli laughed at Briseis's expression and shook her head, feeling like a younger lioness again. It had been so long since she had spent time with friends, relaxing, away from the Pride and any stress it would bring. Even with Aritania at her side, she felt free from the worries of motherhood, she knew her children were safe and well, and that was all she really cared about beyond the safety of her friend.
Illitashia smiled at Briseis, pleased beyond words that the young mother-to-be had made her dearest friend so happy. She wished she could express her gratitude, but with Elli so near, she could do nothing. So she settled for smiling at the white female and hoping she could guess at how it touched the Rose Queen so.
Lilac Wish smiled at Briseis, peeking out from behind her mother's leg. Her mother had taught her to be a proper princess, so she gave a bow of her head. "You very much welcome Lady Briseis."

"Your quite a little lady yourself." she smiled at the young cub and turned to her mother who gave a look of appreciation and gratitude, she just gave a bit of a nod and turned to Elli she would be her cubs grandmother to her. She yawned a bit, and looked to Lilac, "What is your name? I don't think I caught it."
