"I would love to," Lore murmured.
Since he wasn't sure what he would be doing within these walls anyhow, so it would be good to just get out.

Elnara smiled and put her hand over Lore's gratefully. Out of the corner of her eye she saw from the window how late it was, and turned back to her grandmother.
"Where will we all be sleeping?" she asked softly.

Earendil nodded to Lin and smiled. "Any time," he assured her. "He's always ... almost always around, and he loves it when you come to see him. He told me so. Besides, you said you have to practice your brush writing, and I know he would like to practice with you again."
Atalya looked thoughtful as she gazed back at Elnara. "How would you like to be split up?" she asked in return. "Do any of the children share beds? Do you share a bed with anyone?"

"Yay!" Lin grinned, "That would be fun to do then, I forgot he's always around. It's been a while."
It wasn't like her memory was that good quite yet.

Lore knew that they would have separate rooms, but as for the children, "Storm and Starr are never apart," he ventured.
Though he didn't know how much the sleeping habits of each child might or might not have changed.

Elnara nodded agreement with Lore. "Idhril's always slept with me, and Silvrendir sometimes sleeps with us, sometimes with Celebor, and sometimes on his own," she added. "Skye and Serenity have their own rooms, but Skye isn't fond of open spaces ... I think it would probably be best if they also shared a bed. As for Lin ..."
She glanced down the table at her adoptive sister. "I ... don't know," she admitted.

Atalya nodded thoughtfully. "So ... one for Lore, one for you, Idhril and Silvrendir, one for Serenity and Skye, one for Celebor, one for Storm and Starr ..."
She paused and looked up at them again. "I suppose, though, that you'd want to keep Storm near you tonight, so that you can watch him and make sure he recovers all right?"
Earendil nodded. "It's been quite a few years on this side," he agreed. "I know it's not that long from your world, but ..."

"Not a few years, I'm not that old," Lin replied back, "I don't know... few months?"
Something like that, but not a lot of months no.... not for her anyways.

Elnara nodded slowly. "Yes, I think that would be a good idea," she agreed. "So ... perhaps Silvrendir could sleep with Celebor, then, or else I just might end up with a crowded bed - even knowing how big they are."
A single bed in the castle really was big enough for up to or even exceeding five people, if the need arose.

Earendil nodded. "Yeah. So different."
He rose and held his hands out to her. "What do you say?" he asked her with a grin. "Time for bed and up at sunrise? You want your same room back again?"
Atalya nodded. "Then I'll arrange for the North Wing to be prepared," she smiled. "I know it's ... probably not what you were expecting, but ... I'm sure you understand."

Lore looked curiously at Elnara, because he didn't see the different. What did was meant that by that did not know. Then agian it did not matter really, since they were staying here, which was excellent in and of itself.

Lin nodded, "Then I won't get lost."
She would be happy in that room again, even though it would be harder to get around without Nina.

Elnara blinked at her grandmother and nodded uncertainly. It wasn't altogether unexpected, but ... it was still startling. The guest wing rather than the residence.
She picked up Storm and allowed Starr to climb up onto her shoulder, and rose to her feet. "Perhaps we should put the children to bed right away, then," she suggested, stepping away from the table.
Idhril and Silvrendir in turn stood up on the table and reached their arms out to Lore so that he would carry them. "Papa!" Idhril called out in a sing-song voice. "Take us, too!"

"I would never let you get lost," Earendil grinned, picking Lin up and bouncing her a bit. "Besides, I'm sure you could take care of yourself if you had to. I admit most of the people here don't speak your language, but I'm sure you would still manage to take care of yourself. Somehow."
Atalya smiled apologetically and rose, taking her husband's arm. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "But I'm sure you will agree that it's for the best."

Lin grinned up at Earendil in a mischeivious way, because he was right. She owuld fine a way, whether that was a good thing or bad thing was questionable.
"You're right."
