yeah they do although baked taters need to be soft and hot.

Yeah, if you over bake a tatter its just called double baked, you boil it too much and eventually you'll just have mash 'tatters...so there's no over cooking....unless you tripple or quadrupple bake it.

No, baked taters MUST be crunchy-ish. That is the only way they can be edible.
