As they flew, Sheena looked back every now and then to check on Corrine. "You're not scared, are you? I know that...after the first time we all flew on the rheairds together, everyone was terrified. That's because we crashed on the Fooji mountains." She laughed and watched her own memories fondly. "Even Corrine was scared. He kept telling me not to be afraid, but his voice was shaking so badly." She laughed again and tilted her head back before turning to look at Corrine again. "You two are a lot alike, you know that?"

Sha glances at the city of Meltokio.

Kratos gasped. What they saw was gruesome. They landed in front of the gates. The ground was bloodstained and bodies littered the ground. Kratos was shaking with fury. "They... how could they do this? The desuxis killed an entire city?" There would be the occaisional crater from the Mana blasts. "Even the children. They slaughtered them all!" He Demons Fang'd a wall and it was blasted to pieces.

Sha stands there, staring at the gruesome sight.
"Waaaaa~ah! Mommy, wake up!"
Raine looks around, "A child?"
Sha runs off towards the Meltokio slums. He sees a girl, cut up badly, sobbing beside a mangled corpse. Someone survived?
Zelos falls to his knees. "It's..." he was at a loss of words.
Corrine's eyes filled with tears. "It's... It's all my fault," she sobbed, "If it wasn't for the fact that you were all trying to protect me, all these people would still be alive!"

The shadowed woman throws a copper cup at the wall. "Why is that child still alive," She hisses.

Shinto walked around the city, in shock.
"Even humans don't deserve this.... it's like...." His voice trailed off. He walked in the back alley of the slums, away from everywhere else.
He walked along, staring at the mutilated bodies. He saw one of a blonde woman, a pool of blood by her head. The memory of his mother flashed back to him.
"No!" He gasped and began running, nearly tripping over a body.
This one was a man, his stomach slashed open. The memory of his father came back to him. "Get away! Get away!"
He ran blindly, through streets, before coming to rest on the edge of the city, behind a building.
"They're dead, get over it! They're dead!" He started sobbing.
"You killed them!" He yelled to the deaf corpses.
"Damn you! Damn Dexuxis! Damn you all to hell, you bastards!"
He involuntarily unleashed a blast of wind magic at a building, putting a hole in the wall. He sunk down against the wall, his head in his hands.

"What happened?" Barung said astounded. "They're in the middle of a crater? Barung reviewed video footage of that location when they were massacring Meltokio. Four Desuxis went up to attack a child and her mother. One shot an arrow through the mother. The child stared from the desuxis to her mother and back. Her eye's glowed red and wings exploded from her back. Needles of light shot from the child's wings and pierced through the desuxis and they were blasted back, trailing blood. As the needles were firing, the child let out a light explosion, creating the crater.

Aleda was quiviring. Cold shock flowed down her back. When Raine mentioned a child, she looked up.
"A child...in all of this?"

Sha nods and hands the crying little girl to Aleda. He then runs over to where Corrine collapsed and started searching through his bag for something to heal her.
