The_Golden_Sage: What you stated in your most recent post makes more sense, I think it was what you were trying to say initially but the wording was off. When you posted the first time you consistently stated that we were "hearing different sounds" or "feeling different things" when it really is that our body is interpreting those sensations in different ways - the sounds and feelings are the same.

I understand coming from a philosophy viewpoint, one of my favorite professors is the philosophy professor (and you've never heard philosophical musings until you've been backpacking for a few days with your professor). However, I am coming into this argument as an occupational therapist who has had experience in working with children who have sensory disorders or sensory integration issues. That's why I am insistent that the sensory experience is the same for all of us - it's how it's interpreted by our bodies that is different (based on cultural, personal, physical, etc experiences). I've seen a roomful of kids react to a single sound - all of them would keep on doing their thing except for one of them; the sound was the same, the interpretation was different.

I'm completely against the idea that everything is in our minds, although at one point I was completely for the idea of 'everyone for themselves' and 'we are our own person.' Also interpreted that everything is in our minds and we control how we experience things. If you want to know the reason, it's because there is no way that my mind is 'everything.' Honestly, I find the whole idea egotistical - we control everything?

Orna, I'm pretty sure you passed, you seem to me like a very intelligent person, but all my prayers and hopes go with you! Is the test to become a counselor or something like that? Sorry, I don't know anything about it.

It's the National Board to become certified as an Occupational Therapist - it's what I got my masters degree in. >_< Today is the last day to study, so everyone keep me in your thoughts and prayers tonight and tomorrow.

Welcome Vyalia! smile

Good morning everyone! It is good to see so many of you posting here. (I have been in other guilds where I have to wait for weeks for a response from anyone!) I am so happy to be here, and I hope that all is well with you.

Good luck Orna, in your educational benefits, trials and triumphs. It is good that you are striving so hard for knowledge that not everyone has teh opportunity to receive. I am sure you will do better than you may thing you will, and I wish you will have a good time, and a calm mind. ( I know how stressful some tests can be... even if I haven't done many college ones...)

Well-I hope that you are all having a good day, and I am eager to talk with you soon. Have a fantastic day!

So I have a dilemna...I like this guy that is in two of my classes and well next semester we might not have any classes together. So my dilemna is....should I tell him that I like him after my video project (on thanksgiving break) so that would be in December or tell him in March (don't ask why I picked March!) I don't know what to do.. crying sweatdrop
PostPosted: Fri Nov 09, 2007 11:25 am

The best option would be to tell him when you feel comfortable with it - and the most likely time is when you guys are spending some time together because that would show reasoning behind why you like him. (aka meaning I like spending time with you - and I like you more than that..)

That's the best advice that I can give - I don't really date that much and I'm currently chatting with a guy I met on eHarmony, so I don't have that problem anymore.

Good luck though!

Thanks...it would be hilarious if he had an account on gaia though..and would be part of this guild..I seriously doubt it though.

Yeah, we're a bit limited with the amount of testosterone influence in this guild..

*laughs*

You never know though, he could actually have a Gaia account.. *insert twilight zone music here*

Well, as long as the hormones don't go into overdrive and the female students don't start fighting over the limited males - we'll be fine.

I sincerely hope that doesn't happen as we prefects and the Heads of House's would be up to our heads with hormone induced trouble.

First off, how did your testing go Orna? I've been muttering white light charms all day...

I'm not too worried about Ravenclaw males and hormones. Ravenclaw fellas are genuinely and generally bright, and offer more occasions for awe and appreciation then trouble. While scarce, we do have a few...witness our newest first year, the Golden Sage. He was first back on the Orb hunt, and has crafted a brilliant, new RP setting (check out the subforum), thus adding 20 not yet unposted housepoints to Ravenclaw, 10 for the orb hunt and 10 for his RP set up. Yay!
