Before Sakeri had time to react, Kin had blown the entire place up. He simply yawned and push over a load of explosives. The explosion had knocked her off her feet and she glared at him.
"You know," she hissed. "We have to go about this care-" The earth began to rumble and bit's of the mountain rolled down the side, clashing onto the sheild. Suddenly, a large cloud of dust swept over them, blindling them from the world. Sakeri had an unsettling feeling in her gut before the dust began to settle. Oh, no.. As the dust cleared, it became apparent that the mountain had dissappeared and Sakeri looked on in horror, babbling incoherently. "Mount- You- I-" she gasped, pointed at the destroyed structure. "Not happy," was all she was able to utter.

It was early when Edger whe Edger heard the oil-eprived gears on the bus squack to a stop. Edger yawned as he pulled his things toether and mutter a quick chat. Temporarily, he became a ghost like creature and flew off the top of the bus. The spell was taxing for him, but there was no better way to make a quick and easy escape. He landed in an alley and switched to his normal form. Walking into the busy and cold street he thought annoyed, "Now what?"

Iori sat silent as Scarlet told Drake about what happened. He finished the bottle of Sake that was givin' to him as he turned to Scarlet and looked at her eyes as his stare pierced right through her.
"............................................ I don't normally offer any help to anyone, but if you'd like me too I could take care of those guys who were attacking you."
He lifted his blood stained hand and put it on the counter and asked for a wet towel to clean it off.
"All you have to do is tell me anything you know about them and I'll take care of them.........."
The room went silent as he finished talking. He then asked Drake for another bottle of Sake. ((I may have to got for a little bit ><))

Scarlet looked suprised at the red-head's offer. Who would stand up to men like she described? She blushed and looked away, If she was bashful enough, she just may save his life. Ironic. "I couldn't ask you to do that Mr..." She trailed off
"Scarlet, this is Iori, He's been in here a while now tonight." Finn walked over to Scarlet, bringing a chair and wrapping a blanket around her shoulders. "Don't worry about a thing. Now I know you've seen a lot lately, but you'll be okay." He handed Iori a bottle of Sake. "I'd appreciate you helping Scarlet out, but I think it's the lady's call. Sorry."
Drake proceeded to fill Iori's requests quietly.
"I couldn't ask you to to that Iori." Scarlet flashed a concerned look. "These men will do horrible things if you've anything to do with me. The last three men I've tried to... go home with..." She blushed, expecting him to know what was meant by that. "They were all taken. These men grabbed them from off the road where we walked. They dragged them into the alleys." Scarlet's lip was trembling now as her speech became difficult. "I tried to help them, I did, but these men, all so brave. They just told me to run. They..." She broke into sobs, softly at first, but soon hysterical. After a moment her breathing slowed. "They all said they'd get rid of them for me. But I heard the most terrible screams as I ran. Oh-" Her sobs continued softly echoing through the near-empty bar.
Finn came over and, taking Scarlet by the hand, wrapped an arm around her shoulders and walked her back to a room in the back. He whispered comforting words to her as they went, then he shut the door behind her as She walked into the room. Coming back, he called out "Okay everyone, we've had enough of a show tonight. Closing time. Everyone out, but be careful out there. It's going to be a rough night, eh?" He motioned to Iori, letting him know that he was to stay as the three or four remaining drunkards tottered out.

Iori stood up and looked at the bartender.
"I don't need help just make sure you watch the news tomorrow, but if you do wish to follow don't get too close you might get burned"
He turned around and started to walk to the door.
(( yay for cheesy character puns))

Izzy took couple more bites from her ssandwich, and a swig from her drink. "so, what's the plan from here? and please, let it not include flying, or anything that has to do with a large distance between me, and the ground." Her eyes shifted back and forth between Ryn and Nendir.

I have no idea.. Is what Nendir had been thinking when Izzy asked that question. For once he was unsure of himself or his actions. Had it been a a foolish move to involve her? There couldn't of been, otherwise the portal wouldn't have opened, or, what if he had abandoned the wrong Mortal at the cabin in the woods, and he was really supposed to have taken her along with him.
His mind was racing a mile a minute with doubt, and uncertainty. It's starting.. He thought. It wasn't like him to think like that, and the only explanation as the Mortals. In some ways Nendir was an Empath, usually feeling nothing of himself but assuredness, but now, now that the president of one of the most powerful countries in the world had been assassinated, everyone was afraid, and unsure, uncertain of choices they had made in the past, and all of these emotions were burrowing their way into Nendirs mind.
"Ryn, we have to go somewhere secluded, away...away from all of THIS." He held his face in his hands, rubbing his temples simultaneously. "I can't find with all of these emotions coursing through me. Thousands of people in this city feel so..negative, I feel like they are going to rip me apart." He was saddened that he was not as large of a help as he had hoped to be. Get out of my ******** head! He screamed to himself.
He needed to meditate, to take himself out of himself, perhaps the astral plain..no that wouldn't work because of the Purifiers and the body count they had racked up. It would be infested with spirits in the astral plain, and the more there were, the worse it would be. "Somewhere with snow maybe?" He grabbed at a sandwich and broke it into pieces in his hand, trying savor each piece as he placed it into his mouth, trying to focus on something other then the depression and anxiety he was feeling.

Ryn thought slowly, his eyes flicking from Nendir to Izzy, before saying slowly," I was intending to go to Canada, preferably somewhere in British Columbia, and preferably somewhere without snow... I don't like the cold..."
Ryn continued to chew on fish, before saying,"And I'm sorry Izzy... But flying is the only option we have until we get out of the country, though Ithink we can get out within six hours of straight flight, which I should be able to manage after I've had enough... GAH!"
Ryn shouted, choking on the fish, as everything swirled into blackness. Seconds later he awoke, to find himself in a perfectly white room. Slowly, groaning he started to push himself up, when he heard a voice behind him
"Ryn... My child... You have failed in what you were asked to do..", someone said, from several feet behind him.
Ryn's eyes went wide, and he turned, to see the Goddess of Death, sitting in a beautifully carved rocking chair. He gasped, a tear trickling down his face, before saying,"Mother... I cannot kill them..."
"But you must Ryn. They have done so much, which deserves punishment! You must do this for me my son!", the Goddess said, her voice both kind, and cruel.
"I... I WON'T!", Ryn shouted, pushing himself to a stand, his confidence in himself coming to the surface as he continued," Most humans have done nothing wrong, but be born, to a culture that has ended up shattered! And within the desolation of even the darkest human heart, there is a beautiful kind light! They do not deserve death, under any circumstances! Even the humans have learned that killing for ones sins is not the right thing!"
"Well then... I can only say, that I created you wrong, and warn you that if you do not change, you will most likely die. All the Defenders are being hunted. Goodbye Ryn.", she said, as Ryn descended back into the blackness.
Seconds later Ryn came to, face down in the fish, and groaned, saying,"We have to leave soon..."

"As you wish" Finn began picking up things from tables and cleaning them. He had to ready the bar for tomorrow before he went off to his own bedroom.
In her specially prepared room, Scarlet wiped her eyes clean, put on her robe, then went to bed. She lied down with a soft half-smile "Such brave men" she whispered in her sleep.

Iori left the bar with a bottle of sake in his left hand and his right hand tucked into his pocket slightly.
He disappeared into a dark alley and faded away from sight...... Until morning.

Masaru was extremely angry. Not only had the mountain she was standing on been knocked over, but all her potential victims were dead beneath the dust. She herself was sustaining a couple scrapes and bruises. She growled, which turned into a fit of coughing. Once she cleared the dust out of her eyes, she tried to find the perpetrators.
"Who was sloppy enough to almost drop a mountain on me?"
[[I'm not sure if this is accurate, but it sounds like Kin just knocked over the mountain I was on o.0]]

Izzy stared at Ryn like he was crazy, but that look soon changed to one of concern. "uh, Ryn are you ok?" it was a stupid question, he obviously didn't look ok.
((yet again, short but I can't think of anything else and I gotta finish the update.))

In the amount of time it took for Ryn to pass out and regain consciousness, Nendir had hardly gotten to his feet. He had been lost in his own thoughts, he had even forgotten that anyone else was in the room. No wonder some Mortals seem insane, especially if they feel like this during the majority of their lives.
"Ryn, are you OK?" He asked, looking over at his ally, but taking a seat next to the open balcony window where he had been seated since he arrived in the hotel room. He placed another small morsel of food into his mouth and chewed half heartedly, god, he didn't even want to eat anything. He lay down on his pillow, looking across the room at his comrades. Izzy looked beautiful, but battered and lost. And Ryn looked as if he had seen a ghost, or worse.
"Was it the gods?" He asked, suddenly sitting upright. The blood pounded in his head as he did so, and we took a drink of water he had gotten from the restaurant. "Was it important? A command? What was it?" He was alert, and ready to strike Ryn down if he had seemed to turn.

Ryn sat there panting, knowing full well that the many questions aimed at him were due to him passing out, though not really wanting to speak about it. The Goddess of Death, His MOTHER, was angry with him. He had failed, and yet he knew he hadn't failed. He was doing the right thing! It was the Gods who were mistaken!
Finally he said,"It was.. The Goddess of Death. Apparently the gods are angry with me... And someone is hunting down the Defenders, to... Purge us...."
He stared off into space, his eyes semi glazed, as he tried to think of a way to explain what he was feeling, he reached down, and pulled his sheathed sword from his belt, tossing it into the corner of the room, his hunger gone, yet knowing he had to eat. Slowly he picked up another piece of fish, and began to eat it.
