[ Xehanort : Pharos Lighthouse : Chamber of the Sun-Cryst ]The man chuckled to himself, crossing his arms as both men spoke. "You could say that."He watched as Genesis cautiously approached the stone, giving a sideways glance toward Sephiroth with an amused smirk while the deteriorating warrior made contact. --- The moment Genesis touched the stone, all of his senses shut down. He could not see, could not feel nor move--the only evidence of his consciousness was his consciousness, his thoughts, his mind. In fact, he might have felt lost, out of place, as if he'd been swept away into oblivion. A couple seconds passed when finally, there was a light in the darkness--an ethereal, fluid-like teal-green energy appeared from his side, swirling around his formless consciousness like a stream. It twisted and flowed, making patterns in the darkness, before coming together before him, coalescing into something more. There was a flash, blinding his sight. When he could see again, the only thing visible in the endless black expanse was a single, metallic form of a woman, visible from the torso up as if most of her was hidden in shadow. Where her arms should have been, white metallic wing-like appendages spread out, also slipping back into the Darkness. Where her eyes should have been, only black holes, endless depths, could be seen. Then, without movement, "she" spoke, a chorus of hundreds, thousands of voices: "And so, the first-born son returns anew, In darkest time, in search of answers true.
In birth, you failed, but purpose yet remains; You thirst no more, for Legion's blood sustains. To Legion's will is henceforth bound your soul-- Soldier, Prisoner, His first General.
The first-born heart now knows our dark embrace. Oh loveless life, more trials shall you face. Yet know, False Genesis, your gift awaits: An endless strength, when final light abates." Upon finishing, the metallic woman erupted, blinding and enveloping Genesis in brilliant teal energy-- --- In reality, nothing had changed. Genesis would snap back to consciousness, still touching the Sun-Cryst, and in truth, only a few seconds had passed. But in Genesis, something stirred--an unwavering loyalty to Sephiroth, unquestioning allegiance to his commands. Genesis was his own individual, but it was as if he'd sworn total fealty to the One-Winged Angel, and he had no regrets or doubts. As well, his body was fully restored by the Darkness, the degradation reverting entirely as the connection between he and Sephiroth was strengthened. Xehanort smirk remained. "Congratulations are in order, I suppose." Though neither he nor Sephiroth knew precisely what happened, they felt the Darkness had stirred, and Sephiroth would himself have felt the strengthened connection, knowing Genesis' full loyalty was his. [[ She appears like this, without all the metal structure and the red tube. ]]

[ Riku : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room ]
Riku was a bit surprised by Kyla's quick recovery, eyeing her as she began to draw something; his curiosity was sated when she turned to show him an image of none other than a bloody-winged Ajora. She went on about him--revealing to Riku for the first time that she had been inside before this had all happened, making him wonder how or why, but those questions could wait for another time.
She began to show black veins covering his flesh, explaining the replica's power struggle--and fear. Something about that fact made the Keyblade Master tense. This damned man had manipulated and toyed with the entire group on multiple occasions, and he was afraid, going through a power struggle...
The rest of her explanation sunk in, but the first pieces were possibly the largest. Riku had figured, one way or another, that Ajora didn't want them dead. He'd had an advantage since the day he was created, and only once used it for murder--and act that cemented his power over them. An execution he'd had done in front of them, to unite them in that knowledge.
If the above was true, that he wanted the group alive in some fashion, then whatever he was struggling against...
Before he could voice his concerns, Kyle's spell began to activate. Throughout, he noticed the same, vein-like structure Kyla had drawn, and their very presence gave his sixth sense a feeling of dread. His memory surged to the front as Light engulfed him, playing out the scene as clear as if it had just happened, remembering the night before. Darkness struck, and Light countered--oh, did it counter.
The red barrier was fracturing fast. It would be mere seconds before it fell. Matthew came up, relaying his earlier distraction. "Kyle put everything into that spell. Ajora's behind the door, waiting, potentially having an internal power struggle."
He turned to Kyla.
"And if we don't get to him before he breaks, things are going to be much, much worse for us."

{{Sephiroth ; Genesis : Pharos Lighthouse : Chamber of the Sun-Cryst}
As soon as Genesis touched the stone he was lost the world, oblivious to anyone and anything around him as his consciousness fell into a deep and unending darkness. A few seconds passed until he saw anything, then a teal-green energy appeared around him, streams of light that flowed like water and then merged together, taking on form. Then a blinding flash of light, which would have made him raise his hands to cover his eyes.
When his blindness passed a metallic form stood before him, feminine in appearance, it floated, most of it's body hidden in the darkness that surrounded them. White metallic wings spread from where her arms should have been and she had no eyes. When she spoke, it was not one voice but hundreds if not thousands of voices all at once. She spoke poetically, referencing Loveless, the poetry that the dark night cherished. He had read the words so many times from memory that they stuck out plain as day to him.
At the end of her poetry the woman vanished, becoming the same teal energy that had created her form initially. Then his eyes opened, his gloved hands still laid upon the sides of the Sun-cryst. As he lowered his hands, he immediately felt the difference, there was no ache or pulling of his muscle in his left shoulder. His degradation had been cured by the darkness He hid his awe and wonder well as he turned his attention back towards the two men that were with him. His eyes fell upon Sephiroth and he could feel it inside of him. A desire and an irrevocable loyalty towards the silver-haired man. His attention then turned to Xehanort as he spoke.
"I would say so, for the Goddess has healed me of my degradation," He replied with a pleased smirk, matching the Seeker's. "She has also declared that I am to be your first general," He stated, his attention turning to Sephiroth.
Sephiroth's eyes had closed briefly as he felt the darkness stir, reveling in the power that coursed throughout the room and resonated with his own darkness. His eyes opened again as he heard Genesis stir barely seconds later. He could feel it, a stronger connection to the soldier, the red-cloaked man's loyalty belonged to him now. He smirked lightly, either out of surprise or amusement as the man declared himself to be the Legion's general.
"Very well," he replied simply, seemingly pleased with what had transpired. The One-winged Angel knew that now that Genesis was at full strength, his degradation cured, he would be of much more use to the Legion.

[Joe: Atlantis: Outside Throne Room] Joe...it took him some time to process what was going on. After all, he was tired. Angry. Still kinda hurt even after that potion he took. Of course, by the time he realized what was going on, Noelle had already failed to stop Kyle, and Joe could only watch as Kyle vanished...turning into a spell. "...Kyle?" It was but a whisper, and the male could feel his good eye watering up. Of course, the male was hurt by this. More so because, once again, Kyle decided that martyring himself was the best course of action. Why? Why did it always seem to have to come down to sacrificing yourself? That was always something Joe seemed to hate about certain stories. He felt his head tip forward, his eye shut as he clenched his fist. Sure, he ended up glowing, remembering that memory of him and Kyle fighting, but...it made Joe hurt. It made him rage a little. He was getting so tired of sudden action, no consulting with others. No...no chain of command. And when the stars formed...people might have noticed something new about his outfit. A cape...more like a mantle. It was around his neck and shoulders, armor adorning his shoulders as the cape fell into place. Stars...there were so many stars by the time Joe looked up. And they were charging the seal. Breaking it, by the looks of things. And Joe let out a huff of air, and stood in front of the group. "Everyone! Riku is right! Kyle is giving us this chance! A chance to end it here and now. We will not let this chance slip us by, do you hear me?!" He was yelling, making sure everyone could hear him, but he wasn't pausing to let anyone answer him. "Ajora is inside. There may be others, but that's fine. We have the numbers to win. And win we shall!" Joe pumped his fist into the air to punctuate his statement, and then turned to the seal. It was almost gone. So close. "All units..." The seal in front of the door finally shattered with the last of Kyle's stars, And Joe lead the charge. "MOVE OUT!"

[ ¿ Ajora ? : Atlantis : Throne Room ]
The final star was significantly larger than those that came before--and with its increased size came an increased explosion, sending a rippling wave of searing Light out from the center. The eruption not only completely shattered the seal of Darkness, causing its fragments to disintegrate into black dust and then nothing, but it also blew open the doors to the throne room with a thunderous boom, revealing the struggle within.
The moment the door flew open, Ajora took one hand off the Trident and flung it out toward the entrance and those looking his way, turning to face them with unbridled fury. In that brief pause period, under the light of the entrance and the battle of energy in front of him, they would get a true glimpse of what had become of him since Kyla's departure.
From head to toe, the replica was consumed by the sickly black veins, thick and pulsing with malevolence. He was wearing nothing but the Atlantean robe tied around his waist, draping down to his legs, revealing the full extent of his corruption, with a particularly gruesome convergence on the center of his chest where his heart would be. There was barely half an inch that wasn't completely taken over. Even his wings, once feathered, were now nothing more than decayed, pitch-black bone structures, serving more toward a ghastly aesthetic than any sort of function, the spaces between the bones completely vacant.
Even his left eye was consumed, pitch black, no iris, no white, just Darkness. His right eye, however, had just barely managed to remain "normal", with vibrant gold irises, surging with hatred and rage.
With Ajora only having one hand charging the Trident, Kida (still possessed by the Heart of Atlantis) was slowly pushing her beam of bright blue energy back against his black beam; the heroes had arrived just in time, it seemed, as he had been mere feet away from victory, from claiming her or destroying her. And still, the Bloody Executioner only uttered a single word. A guttural, seething word, his voice sounding painfully strained, as he held his hand out toward them, threatening, hostile--
"... Kill..."

[Kyla: Atlantis: Throne Room]
[edited] ‘Amen Joe.’
This was it; the pretty face of a familiar friend was peeled back to reveal the true demon that lay in wait beneath. Corrupted by his own power, Ajora was something that Kyla would compare to some experiment from Resident Evil gone wrong.
Her theory about him having attempted to utilized the power of the crystal was correct- though perhaps not in the worst case scenrio. But it was to early to breath easy. Instead the best case scenario had the Heart of Atlantis turn it’s might on him- but she wasn't gaining ground. Little by Little Ajora's own power was pushing her the heart back.
‘No- ..hang on Kida.’
The tridant was that strong?!
How could they separate the two. The object from the user? Kyla could kill for a SCAN spell- basic white magic – and BLUE magic right?! As they charge rushed forward, Kyla started thinking of a plan of attack. Her voice came over the charms wide spread amongst them. It didn’t matter if Ajora heard or not anymore, she had to chance it right now, she needed the freedom to draw and not talk one on one. While everyone was making the charge this was the only way to fight and make her first few moves while the battle just started.
Kyla singled out the one with the mask on his face but let everyone on their side hear it so they were one unified group on what was going on. ( praying Ajora was perhaps too corrupted to be privy anymore) Kyla remembered she had met him earlier so he could procure her powers for his blue magic. If her memory served for correctly- both Blue Magic users and White magic uses had scan or something of the like available to them. < We need an in-depth peek at what the magical connection is between Ajora and the tridant. He's used it to get his seal up- but I don't want to risk outright attacking if he's going something else set up waiting for us. He knows we were coming. So do you have a Scan or any equivalent spell you can use to sense anything or see anything that’s making the Heart act this way? The Hearts original powers are offensive-defensive, shields of energy, and lethal touch exposure can turn anyone to stone. I've never expected it to outright attack him like that. We also need ot know how far gone is Kida too. The longer she's like that the less time we have to remove the threat so the Heart will let her go.. > …Not to mention this was a whole new Ajora almost. Just how big was his influence in this space?
In the meantime, she cast her preemptive attacks. Kyla cast Warding Lotus on each melee type fighter who charged in, and then prepared to create a much larger attack, something along the lines of Birn Strike LvL 2. Mathew and whoever else could try to check just how this set up looked from the magical spectrum. Maybe give them a weak point. A suitable goal would be to get the weapon out of his hand, cause taking down Ajora would be a lot easier if he was cut off from anything that was feeding him all that energy.
But time was of the essence to save Kida as well. The Faster the better.
As they crossed the threshold Kyla launched a Birn Strike (lvl 2) that weaved around the possessed princess and made a beeline for the mutated replica.

{Bobbi .:. Atlantis .:. Throne Room}
Bobbi waited patiently, focusing to boost her accuracy, reading the wind to increase her arrows' speed, and arming the arrow currently set to her bowstring with a Maelstrom Bolt. She was aiming to Silence Ajora; if she could stop him from using magic, that would be a huge benefit. The Archer grinned at Joe's speech, and fought the urge to scream, "Autobots, roll out!"
:And while Matt's doing that,: Bobbi added on the tail end of Kyla's request, also broadcasting to everyone with a Charm, :I'm going to try and Silence Ajora. Give me a clear shot, people!:
Thank goodness thought was faster than speech; there was almost no one in her way, and once the few who were cleared out, she took aim at the knot of black where Ajora's heart should be, and fired. Her arrow streaked across the battlefield, sped by her Read the Wind ability, strengthened by her Expert Focus. If her aim was true, the arrow would pierce Ajora's heart; if not, it hardly mattered, because the immediate area would be covered in a Blizzard spell, and with luck, Ajora's magic would be negated. The spell-laden missile would strike almost simultaneously with Kyla's Birn Strike.

[Dawn : Atlantis : Throne Room]
Dawn waited for no more invitation after the door was finally broke down. Ajora was finally going to answer for all the suffering he had caused. She rushed in and fell into line beside Kyla. Where she started her dancing. She laid on the field both Faith and Bravery. Meanwhile laying a little something for Ajora, by adding a little slow dance just for him.

[ Noelle ~ Atlantis ~ Throne Room]
Noelle's heart fluttered as the series of strange events brought forth a memory of Kyle. Her eyes teared, but she didn't, couldn't, feel sad. She knew Kyle's last attack was for them, was to give them a fighting chance. She wouldn't dishonor that.
As the Throne Room burst open Noelle snarled and charged with Joe, powering forward with Slide, a new sense of vigor fueled by anger driving her. She paid little of her attention to what the others were saying, knowing well enough to stay out of the way of other attacks. As soon as Ajora was in her vision she began growing briars around him, each vine moving to wrap around and hold him in place to keep attacks on target. Then, with a mighty push, Noelle sank into a lunge and pulled up, with it coming a large boulder of earth. The projectile soared into the throne room after Kyla and Bobbi's attacks, seeking the same target.

{Dani : Atlantis : Throne Room}
"Alright we can do this." Dani spoke for the first time in a while. Dani waited until the others had gone in before slowly following the same path. 'This time I am not going in blind.' Dani thought watching the others release their own magical abilities onto Ajora.
Dani on the other hand moved across the battlefield a little bit quicker before settling off to the side before activating some of her own magic. She first started to make water clones that started to spread around the battlefield and had them fire off their fake water chakrams at the now mutated Ajora.
At the same time the original Dani started to form a giant wave of water right in front of her that was in line with Ajora. "Fore." Dani thought through the charms before releasing her rip tide right at her opponent watching the water start to liter across the ground. 'Perfect' Dani smirked to herself in her own thoughts.

[Matt :-: Atlantis :-: Throne Room]
Matt cursed under his breath; not only had Kyle "burst" again, but things were apparently going down hill anyways. He just couldn't catch a break this week. He wasn't terribly worried about Kyle; the man had already gone through worse today. And if something did happen, well Matt would simply have to go to the Underworld, drag his soul back here, and then kill him again for having the gall to die.
Joe was obviously affected though, and Matt felt guilty that his mind had reacted differently. Joe's battlecry quickly uplifted his spirits though, and he swung his scimitar over his shoulder. 'No time for negativity,' he thought, this battle would take too much concentration. He followed behind the brawlers of the team, ready to get things moving when he heard Kyla's voice over the charm.
{Yeah, got something like that,} he replied. Matt blinked as he activated the Clarity spell he had learned from Alan. When his eyes re-opened they took on a blue sheen that lit up his mask. He almost couldn't describe what it was like; all of his natural senses were shut down, but he could "see" everything around him that gave off magical energy. Everyone looked like genderless mannequins, glowing the colour of their respective element.
He was able to quickly recognize his party, the group looking almost like a vibrant rainbow with its different hues. He was then able to locate Kida as the "brightest" source of magic in the room, her grey-white light causing him pain in his head when he focused on it. Ajora was easily picked out with his black aura standing out against Kida's. While not giving off any "light" of its own, his aura seemed so thick it was obvious that he was just rolling in magic power. He also seemed to be channeling it into the trident, but there wasn't anyhting binding it there.
'Alright big boy, let's see what you got,' he thought to himself, and focused on his aura. He still wasn't quite sure of Clarity's limits, so he simply pored over Ajora's aura. As he did so, he felt an anxiety growing within him. As he looked at the aura, it almost seemed to be... fighting within itself. But then he could feel it; the aura was "staring" back at him.
He shut down the Clarity ASAP, his eyes returning to normal as he drew in a shuddering breath. 'Shitshitshit, I didn't even find any weaknesses from him.'
{Okay, I don't have any weaknesses on him yet, but there are two things everyone should know. One, the trident isn't bound to him but he's definitely channeling his magic through it. Two, there is something fighting for dominance over him, and it is terrifying.}
'Well really you should have used Scan for weaknesses,' Dave replied simply. 'Would that I could.' 'You can,'
Matt was stunned for a second after that exchange, but gave in and attempted to use Scan.

[ ¿ Ajora ? ; Kida : Atlantis : Throne Room ]The replica made no move, no actions against his transgressors as they began their assault--he simply held his stance and his malicious, wrathful gaze, his body visibly twitching a hairsbreadth every few seconds. Matthew's Clarity attempt may have given a good idea of what was going on, and a Scan might have further helped--except by the time he'd begun, everything was hitting at once.
The attacks all converged on him, and still he held, but something else moved for him--the black, pulsing veins. As Kyla's second-level Birn Strike approached him from Kida's direction, the threads on his bare arm rose up--as if pulling themselves from his flesh--and pushed forward as a united, sentient mass of Darkness to keep the spell from the Trident. The two energies collided, causing a small detonation of negativity. Simultaneously, the black coagulation on his chest did the same, rising forward and catching the arrow, intending to consume it--except it exploded as well, causing a small flurry of ice magic to spiral around him. It stung and tore at his skin, his body, but he didn't move, didn't blink, as small gashes opened up; even his blood seemed darker than it should have naturally been.
Dawn's dances began to take affect on her allies, and Dani's water clones began to assault him--and still he put up no defense, locked in position, unmoving, as the liquid weapons pierced and slashed at him. Black veins continued to rise up, defending, countering as best they could, but they were slowly being eaten away as well. Dani's wave approached, as did Noelle's launched boulder, nearing his form--and striking him.
The wave struck a split-second before, empowered by Dawn's Faith, and nearly knocked him off of his feet. It would have, except Noelle's boulder slammed into him, and with the combined forces, his body was thrown against the opposite wall with a sickening crunch.
His grip loosened. The Trident fell from his hand at the same time that he slid to the ground, broken, physically crushed. The boulder slowly rolled away to reveal him sitting on the ground, his back against the stone wall, the veins writhing and slithering. And still, despite all of his injuries, despite his gashed and beaten face, his face remained locked in fury; one normal golden eye, one fully black.
The Heart of Atlantis stopped her assault and, with unseen force, pulled the Trident to her grip and unleashed a devastating combined assault, charging the magical artifact with its own enhanced energy and firing a concentrated beam at the replica--and only then did he move. His face suddenly contorted in agony as every vein, every ounce of blackness pulled him up by the chest, his entire body arching upward as if something had gripped him by the heart and yanked. The mass of Darkness hung in midair, writhing, pulsating, surging as it defended against the beam. It grew larger, tendrils spreading into the air only to be burned away...
It was about this time that Matthew's Scan came back:Name: Ajora Type: Pseudo-Humanoid Description: Unstable. Breakdown imminent.
Element: Darkness Weakness: Light x ???? Statistics: ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??
Immune To: ???? Currently Induced: Pain, Silence, Disable, Cripple, Slow, Stun, Toxic, Addle, Berserk, Imperil, Vit-0 HP: 0 MP: 0 ... and then the living tumor of darkness erupted, a violent burst of dark energy expanding and covering Ajora, only to implode, shrinking into a singularity, a single black point in the air, before vanishing into nothingness, taking Ajora with it. The entire eruption took a single second. As Kida, still possessed by the Heart, gracefully lowered herself to the ground, the barrier around her father, the King, appeared for the briefest moment before fading away entirely, freeing him, though he was hesitant to approach his daughter. "Please," he uttered, taking a few cautious steps--barely paying attention to anyone else in the room. "Please let her go."Kida glanced down into the man's eyes, her own still glowing vivid sky blue, only to shake her head. "We are not yet done."With that, the Trident began to glow the same, crystalline energy as the rest of her, and she turned, slowly walking toward the group--though they would quickly find that she was actually walking outside. --- Outside, down the street a short distance, where the group had been before the door broke, lay a familiar green-cloaked body, unmoving, hands on either side. Even from the Throne Room, it was obvious who it was. Even though all was said and done, he'd remained in the long cloak he'd obtained from the summon drive. There were no sleeves, but his arms were covered with cloth bandages from shoulder pauldrons to gloves. His hood lie underneath his head, leaving it visible. His face was the only part of his skin visible, but even from the distance, they would see it was normal rather than mechanical, flesh rather than golden metal. But his eyes remained closed and his body still. And then, if they looked hard enough, they'd see it. --thump His chest rose just slightly, then fell--rhythmic, slow, like breathing. [ Noelle ~ Atlantis ~ Throne Room]
Noelle's chest heaved as she watched Kida and Ajora's battle, not from overexertion but from emotional turmoil. Her eyes were wide, taking in the incredible, though obviously weighted, struggle. She flinched and braced as the mass of darkness on Ajora burst, but as she looked past her arms she could see he was no more. The agromancer glanced around rapidly to be sure he was really gone. Had Kida done it? Were they finally victorious? Her words to her father brought doubt to Noelle's mind. She took a slightly frightened step backward as Kida walked toward then past them. It crossed her mind that Ajora was out there somehow, and Kida was walking to meet him for yet another duel. Noelle tensed and searched the earth before she could turn to look, her body trying to catch up with her magic ability. There was certainly somebody out there, but they weren't standing. She felt them on the ground, very still. Her eyes caught up, and she was confused by what she saw.
Who was that? A very faint pulse started within the figure, barely registering in her thoughts as she tried to identify them. That looked like . . .
"Kyle--"
Noelle had barely uttered his name before she was on the move, skating along the ground as the earth propelled her. Her small form flew past Kida and the others, moving faster than she, and possibly her comrades, had thought possible. The blonde nearly tumbled over Kyle as she tried to stop next to him. She slid on her knees, paying no mind to how she scraped them, and nearly bumped into the unconscious male.
He's breathing, he's still--! 'HEAL him!'
In a panic, Noelle shoved her hands over Kyle's chest and cast Curaga. Her hands glowed green briefly, illuminating Kyle's form as well. The image of White Yarrow blooms appeared above them at the conclusion of the spell. Noelle didn't want to stop there, but the Curaga spell robbed her of her remaining mana.
'Axel gave you an Ether, it's in your pocket.'
The agromancer scrambled for the Ether as she was reminded of it. She yanked it from her pocket and downed it as soon as she could. Her mana was quickly restored, and as soon as she could manage Noelle cast Esunaga. She tried to blink back tears as she was casting, but they quickly spilled down her cheeks, leaving streaks in the grime that had accumulated there during battle.

[Kyla: Atlantis: Throne room> Outside Throne room]
Just keep moving.
It was over as quickly as it started. Once again Ajora had slipped out of their grasp, disappearing into thin air under the crushing combined might of Kida and the trident. The artist did not doubt the might of the combined two powers but the speed in which their battle quickly turned it just- felt like it wasn't real. It felt so... unfinished. That was it? THAT was it?!
No-no-no-! It couldn't be over so soon. Where did that freak of nature go?! He couldn't just vanish; she hadn't had the chance to burn what was left of those bone wings from his back and make Ajora rue the day he decided to mess with them this much. And yet, he was gone- when Kida began to walk outside Kyla thought the battle was perhaps not over and followed fervently. Yes- he had to be outside! He’s hiding again! They wouldn't let that b*****d get away this time not after everything that-…
And then she saw him lying on the ground just outside. She couldn't possibly mistake him for anyone else. Hood, new clothes, it didn't matter, Kyla knew any subject of her work by heart. Every flutter of his chest was a stab into hers. If this was an illusion it was one of the worst kind, but before she could start rushing to find out Noelle had already gotten there and began healing him.
Just keep moving
Kyla stopped her advance, took almost an uneasy step back then no more. She couldn't move. Forward or back, she was frozen in place. Inside was a storm of emotions that clashed like thunder with a tumultuous velocity, enough to make her shake in place.
This was just too much.
She couldn't do anything that the real healer wasn't already doing-and better at it too.
…..and what right did she have to approach?
All of this. All of this. -She couldn't.
She had no right any more.
Keep moving.
If she had something to fight, it could have been easier. If there was something to revenge upon but there was nothing to aim at right now. Her last chance to justifying anything she had worked so hard to do just vanished within the first few moments of their entry and there was no telling if anything they had done accounted for his retreat.
If Kyla couldn't even bleed for the sake of what she cared about, then what was she here for? She couldn't save, couldn't heal or restore. Only fight.
There had to be something left to do. Anything!!! She couldn't be left alone with herself she HAD to keep moving in one way or another or she was going to break.
“Kida- what else is there left? Where is the threat now?” Kyla asked the possessed princess, cautious to keep a good space away from her. No doubt she would not be the only one still hyped up for the fight.
