Seph sprinted towards Nyl, hunger in his eyes. His hands folded behind his back, and he tilted his head to the side, as if he were preparing to shoulder-tackle her.

Nyl winked at him, before fading into a watery afterimage of herself, and dropping into a puddle on the ground. The real Nyl laughed softly from her new position, several feet behind him.

Seph wheeled around on his toe and fired two tagged kunai in her direction: One high and one low. He fell backwards and rolled to his feet, facing her, then began to strafe her, running to his right.

An ice kunai appeared in her open hand; she used it to deflect the higher of Seph's kunai while lightly jumping over the lower. She turned with his movements, dissolving the ice kunai again and remaining in her stance.

Walking to the dojo steps, Kaimen stopped to witness the spar.
"Feh..."
He said mumbling something under his breath before merging his body into the wooden structure.

The lower kunai hit the soft Earth a few feet behind Nyl. The deflected knife spun through the air and landed a few feet behind Seph. He snapped his fingers and both tags caught fire. The strand of explosive fillament caught and the resulting blasts would dig two small crators in the ground, mud and rain splashing Seph as he dug his heel into the mud and came to a stop.

He's up to something. Seph knows what I can do with water, he's too smart to call a spar in the rain like this. I bet those blasts weren't just because he likes his Ho, either.
Nyl waited.

By this time, Seph had circled Nyl about two-hundred and seventy degrees, hands still behind his back. Finally he moved them, letting them hang limply at his side, fingers twirling around much like they had the night before, only this time, he wouldn't reek of Ijutsu. At the same time, he uttered a soft, "Byakougan." He immediately began to look for any signs of clones.
Behind Seph, nearly invisible, was a thin strand of neutral chakra that traced the circle he had just sprinted. His eyes were locked on Nyl, as if he were waiting for something.

Nyl's eyes widened fractionally. When did this happen? I didn't... She blinked a few times, but it didn't go away. ...Well. That's interesting.
She stood frozen in place, her eyes meeting his now-blank ones. Kind of unfair of him to have been born with ninja skills, isn't it? Her expression didn't even twitch as several plants burst from the ground around Seph in an attempt to entangle him.

Seph didn't budge. Instead, his eyebrow twitched. The strand of chakra flashed and the Earth underneath Nyl shook and cracked, magma slowly oozing from the crack between her feet.

Magma was decidedly not fire, Nyl thought quickly. It would burn. Staring for a flash of a second at the chakra string, she opened her other hand. The earth struggled to close again as a sudden blast of very cold water hit the magma. It would create a cloud of steam, though with Seph able to see everything anyway, that would seem like more of a hindrance.

The molten rock that was forcing it's way up through the now-shut split in the ground needed another escape, and it found it, conveniently, around Seph. It engulfed the plants and easily ate through the flame-resistant material his pants were made of. That kind of heat could hurt even Seph if exposed to it long enough, so he was quick to dismiss the lava.
His eyes narrowed, and the line of chakra flashed again. And again. And again. Seph wasn't sure if Nyl could see the chakra yet, but even if she could, there was no way she could know what the flashes meant. If she did, it would be a nice tell, but he wanted to keep that chakra strand up.

Nyl could see the chakra string, which was surprising, but she had no clue what it was doing. It was just flashing, and it was more than enough of a shock that it was even visible to her at all.
If Seph could see such things, he'd note a shift in her own chakra, but there was nothing apparently happening with it, visibly. A second later, a blade of chakra-edged wind shot toward the chakra string in an attempt to cut through it.

Well, she had caught on that it was important to him, but he was certain she didn't know what it was. And she had just let him know that she could, in fact, see it.
Seph charged the chakra strand, giving it just enough strength to survive the wind blade. He narrowed his eyes. Seph was beginning to 'smell' of Ijutsu. And not in any normal way, either.
