The thought made my heart twist. Would Mudnose ever remember? Sighing, I vowed that when I got back from the patrol, I would remind her, and if she still didn't remember, I'd tell her again. I loved Mudnose, and nothing was going to change that. Nothing. Turning to Eaglesoar, I flicked my ears, screwing up my expression at the mention of the warrior's lazy brother. He made me sick. Rolling my eyes, I nodded] "I think we should take Sunpaw and Bramblefire. I need to show her around the territory, and Bramblefire..well..he just needs to do something. Please, try not to kill him," [I smirked and nudged the warrior with my shoulder, turning to call out to Sunpaw] "Sunpaw, want to come on a border patrol with us?" _____________________________________________________________________________________________ You are my life. So peel away my layers,
to find a gentle interior,
one only for you.

[I watched him pad off, keeping my eyes close as he scooted under the bush. The lizard remained blissfully ignorant, and I watched patiently as Shadowpaw approached. He struck the lizard and a bird flew into the air, calling to the other prey a warning of predators. I purred quietly, pleased, but when he called me, I became confused. I padded over to see the lizard thrashing under his paws.]
"Careful, it-!" I exclaimed, but it was too late.
[The lizard's tail popped clean off, a defensive maneuver of the lizard I was all too familiar with, and the little golden thing leapt in the air in an attempt to escape, but I pounced and fiercely slammed it into the ground, snapping its spine.]
I looked at Shadowpaw amusedly and said, "You have to kill it once you catch it. Either by ripping its throat out or snapping its spine. With the smaller prey, it's easier to snap their spines."
[I picked up the lizard and brought it over to him, gently placing it at his feet.]
"Don't feel discouraged," I meowed softly, "Catching a lizard is no easy task. You did well. You have very good hunting skills when it comes to sneaking up on prey, so let's work on the final strike now."
Nodding up to the sky, I said, "That calling bird alerted most prey around here that we've arrived, so we'll have to move a bit farther down, alright? Let's see what else we can catch."
[I beckoned him with my tail, leaving the lizard for him to carry, and led him farther down the territory before stopping once more at another grove of trees. I could hear prey scuffling around and sighed with relief. Nodding to him, I slipped back into the shadows, allowing him time to hunt. Once more I wanted to observe him; he was a surprisingly good hunter. There wasn't much more I could teach him when it came to smaller prey, but I was hoping he'd catch something slightly larger so that another lesson could be learned.]═══════════════════════ ...six of sin with you now roam

She looked at Rainpaw, she didn't want to leave him.] "I'll be right back." [She meowed to her mate. Sunpaw padded over to Foxfur.] "Hey Foxfur, can Rainpaw come with us?" [She asked her mentor. She looked up at the brown tom with hopeful eyes.] ____________________________ Cause when the sky's the darkest

[ BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY. DX Sorry! ] 
~ S O N G P A W ~ A good warrior....
[ Songpaw stopped complaining about the heat as she began to get confortable. She was rolled up in a ball, her paws on her head, and her tail curled. The tip of her tail was too warm, so she swished it back and forth for air. Songpaw poked her head to see Marblepaw getting confortable too. She wondered if she could talk to her. Maybe playing and talking would soothe both of them.
Songpaw unrolled herself, and began to push herself up and streched. As she walked, she felt exhaustion through her feet. She might've overworked herself, before she woke up. She probably was rolling back and forth and kicking the side of the den. Songpaw stopped thinking about all this as she arrived near Marblepaw. She than made herself confortable again, except she wasnt curled up together this time. She just laid down, and she was confortable, like one-two-three. ]
Why didnt I think of this?!
" Hey Marblepaw! What's up?
Other than the sky.
Oops. I mustve broke your silence..
Can I still talk?"
Is ready for ANYTHING. [[ I think I put effort in this.. Im going to try to do it with every post.. ]]

She let out a sneeze, blowing up a puff of dust. She laughed nervously.] "Oops." [she mumbled, covering her nose with her paw. She gave her chest fur a few licks.] "So...how you been Songpaw?" [I blinked in surprise as Rabbitpaw started yowling suddenly. I growled, ready to spit a few angered replies, but a sudden touch on my muzzle made me forget about that. I blinked in surprise, feeling my ears flatten for a moment. Where had that come from? My mind quickly flashed to my dream from before. I laughed on the inside. If he knew that I dream about him, then he definitely would see me as a weird she-cat.
What if it wasn't a dream? Maybe that's why he's acting weird.
I blinked, this time, laughing out loud. Yeah, if only! I nodded to Foxfur, smiling.] "Good luck!" [I meowed, shrugging slightly. There really wasn't much else to say. I yawned slightly, putting my head down once more. |Shadowpaw| NightClan Apprentice|Tom|Cold&Snarky Can I help you with something? __________________________________________________________________________ [I jerked back in surprise as the lizard's tail popped off and it wriggled out of my paws, scuttling away. Ears flat, pelt burning with embarrassment, I didn't meet Puresun's eyes as she spoke, preferring to nod at the ground. As my mentor began to move deeper into the territory, I plodded along behind her, head down. I was such a failure! Grumbling slightly, I raised my head to see where we were and noticed Puresun had disappeared again, probably watching. Sighing, I figured it was time for me to go hunt and padded forward, canceling out everything so I could focus on the smells of the territory. Of course, there was the trees, and the marshy ground, and the.. what was that? Sniffing frantically, I padded forward, heading towards the source. Golden eyes narrowed in concentration, I soon came upon a squirrel, sniffing around the base of a tree trunk. This was unusual, based on my experiences of lurking around the fresh-kill pile, I didn't really see squirrels all that much. Oh well, maybe it had crossed the border or something, in search of the perfect nut. Crouching down, I slowly crept forward, making sure I was blending in with the shadows. The poor woodland creature didn't have a clue. Stupid squirrel. As I neared it, my heart was booming with excitement. I would make it this time! Wriggling my haunches, I leapt forward, landing nearly on top of the squirrel and slammed one tiny black paw on it, crushing the furry thing to the ground. Panicking that it was still alive, I ducked my head and sank my teeth into it, only leaning back as it's thrashed calmed. Prodding it with my paw, I twitched my whiskers, smugly satisfied. My first catch] "Puresun! I caught something!! Hey, do we usually get squirrels around here?" [As I let the question hang in the air, I took the chance to look at my surroundings, suddenly feeling the breath get knocked out of me. No. It couldn't be. It had only been six moons. Was the scent still there? Padding towards a bush, I lowered my head, poking a it with my snout, sniffing for a few seconds before sighing with disappointment. No, the scent was gone. But I was sure this was my birthplace. My heart clenched. My mother died here. As Puresun's scent wafted towards me, I jerked back and grabbed my squirrel, padding towards her so she didn't catch me off guard. I didn't want my mentor to ask questions just yet. Maybe I'd tell her someday, of my parents and heritage, but for now, I wasn't sure I trusted her enough] ___________________________________________________________________________ Didn't think so.

StarClan, she was beautiful. As Sunpaw's words jerked me back to the present, I looked down at her, then over at Rainpaw, tail flicking. I blinked, it seemed as though those two were very much in love with each other. I remembered my apprentice days with a grimace, the only friend I had was Willowheart. Those were the days. After a few moments of silence, I nodded. They both needed training, after all. Squaring my shoulders, I gestured to Rainpaw with my bushy tail, flicking my one ear] "Alright, he can come. Rainpaw, let's go! Eaglesoar, go and find your brother. If he puts up a fight, just leave him, it's not worth it," [Turning away, I felt something surge through me. Confidence. Everything was going to be okay. The only cat I had to thank for the changes in me was Mudnose. I was a whole different cat now, one who preferred friends over solitude, one who actually believed he could lead the Clan to greatness. It was a great feeling. Nodding to Eaglesoar, I padded towards the camp exit, waiting to get the patrol going] _____________________________________________________________________________________________ You are my life. [I pricked my ears (it looked funny with my folded ears; they only twitched slightly, but it was the equivalent of pricking them, I supposed) as my apprentice called me, but I already knew why. I emerged from the bushes, purring proudly.]
"Well done!" I exclaimed, impressed. "A squirrel is a wonderful prize for a first hunt, especially in NightClan!" [I licked him swiftly on the head, eyes glittering happily.] I meowed cheekily, "Well you've got dry-land hunting down pat! I was planning to teach you this later, but you seem to be much more advanced than I first thought. Let's move back to the marshes; I'll teach you how to hunt on wetlands. It's a lot more difficult."
[My tail flicked over his back as I turned, leading him with me. I let him carry his prize catch, the golden lizard swinging from mine. On the way back, I caught a small vole, and then we continued back in the direction of camp. We stopped along a marshy bank where some patched of dry land and roots grew.]
"Alright," I began, turning to him. "You have an advantage in that your coat is black. For most seasons, NightClan is covered in shadows and dark colors, and your coat is perfect for such things. Make sure to remain in the shadows; it's a big advantage to you. Now, you have to make sure to avoid wet areas; they squish under your paws and give away your position. There are usually dry spots in several places. One tactic is to hide in a bush and wait for prey to come before striking (but you have to make sure that bush isn't to thorny or it'll tug you back when you leap), and another is to remain in a semi-dry area and wait. All in all, hunting in wetlands constitutes patience and waiting. We can't glide over the ground like in the other Clans, and although some warriors just go to the drier lands, it's important to get all your eggs in one nest and have the skill to hunt in marshlands. Understand?
"Now, we're going to switch roles. I'm going to go off, and I want you to hide. Try to cover your scent (which should be easy in wetlands). I'll pretend to be strolling through; I want you to sneak up on me and attack me. Got it?"
[I nodded to him in a determined face and turned, beginning to leave.] "I trust you'll do well," I said confidently, disappearing into some bracken.═══════════════════════ ...six of sin with you now roam

[ Songpaw let out an upbeat mew, of course she was glad she could finally talk to someone. As Marblepaw looked uncomfortable - her eyes were wetting themselves! - Songpaw could guess right out of nowhere,
she was about to sneeze. She wondered what caused it, and while Marblepaw sneezed, her tail flicked with amusement. Then Marblepaw asked how she was doing. Songpaw was doing wonderful. Songpaw almost leapt as high as she could instead of telling Marblepaw what she was doing. Instead, she did a small jump, she only went about a half of an inch high. She then cleared her throat and twitched her tail with excitement. ]
" Well, I ACTUALLY caught Fresh-kill! I was surprised, because they were really easy to catch. I learned a couple battling moves, bit not much. I'm going to persuade Willowheart to do so today. I think. "
Is ready for ANYTHING.

[Eaglesoar nodded to his deputy as he set off around camp, trying to find Bramblefire. To no surprise, he was nowhere to be found...probably still sleeping in the warrior's den. Eaglesoar didn't bother looking inside, since there was no way that ginger furball would be hunting by himself anyway. The two biggest toms in the clan, plus two apprentices. If anything happened, he was certain that the two younger cats would not come to harm.]
"Couldn't find him, he's probably still sleeping, just leave him behind. You lead the way, deputy."
