[Pebbleheart nodded to Spadestripe, smiling down at her little kits as they passed by. Her green eyes then filled with sorrow as she saw a small, limp body in the middle of the clearing. Her ears laid flat against her head, feeling her heart starting to grow heavy.] Oh dear Spadestripe...why should she go through such hard times? I shall pay my respects to her kit afterwards. [She watched the beautiful queen with her adorable kits, a pang of stress going through her mind. Pebbleheart just didn't know, wondering why StarClan dislikes BreezeClan so much. Letting out a small sigh, she walked over to the nursery entrance. With a small grin she settled herself right outside of the nursery, only half of her sandy figure showing. Her green eyes then blazed with happiness, watching Sweetmoon caring for the kits.] Sweetmoon, she makes a perfect mother. [Pebbleheart watched her kits at silence, admiring the scene.] _________________________________________________________

xJuneAngelx [I'm baaaaaack! I missed you guys! What's been going on? Where'd Gray leave off with my cats? biggrin it's good to be home] (Welcome back June! Birdkit is currently in the nursery. She's upset that Shadekit hadnt talked to her at all. There a lil somethin goin on between her and Siegekit as well. wink Right now she's curled up against her mother.)

   Sweetmoon thought for a moment. "Yes... It's about a very strong warrior. It's a story my mother had once told me and my friends when we were kits. Here's how it goes...
'There was once born a little kitten. He was very small and considered very weak. Other cats took advantage of him, even as he grew into a fine warrior. Yet, he gave up everything and always said: 'Please be happy.' Soon he felt ashamed, and he left into the forest. There lived many demons and all sorts of creatures. They tricked him, telling him that they were weak and needed a limb or blood. In the end, he gave away all that he had. A demon asked him for his eyes. The warrior gave them up as well. The demon in return said that he would give him a gift, a saying. But that too was a lie. The saying was: 'You are a fool.' Yet the warrior was very happy. 'Thank you! Oh, Thank you!' He had said, 'This is the first time anyone has ever given me a present, I'm really happy! Thank you!' And tears poured out of his sockets. He was left in the wild, where he died silently.'
Sweetmoon sighed as she finished the story. "And you know what my friend's reaction was?" Sweetmoon asked the kits.

"Calm down, Reedwhisker," he said cheerfully, "I'm only here for a visit."
[He turned to Dicefoot and narrowed his eyes knowingly.]

[I opened my eyes and looked around, searching for someone to play with. I overheard Moonkit and stood up]
"Can I come to?" I asked.
[Giving my pelt a shake, I poked my head outside, looking at the new kits, flattening my ears. I wondered where Shadekit was, but didn't go looking for him. The thought of the tiny tom made my tail droop]

weak once again. I continued to cough and sneeze, my body curling next

Snowcherry got up on her calico paws and padded towards the scrawny pile of what was to be meals, picking out a fairly fresh rabbit, she bit into the warm yet stringy meat. Shadekit StarClan made me born for a reason, only to bring bright shades of colour everday...to my loved ones.

[Shadekit's green eyes grew wide with curiousity yet horror, wondering how the warrior is able to live through such tramatic event. His ears twitched with a bit of fright but he smiled with joy, wanting to go deeper into the story. He jumped on all four paws, smiling brightly up at Sweetmoon with curious eyes.] "What was your friend's reaction? Oh please tell!" Shadekit squealed and pleaded. "Did your friend help the warrior? Or did your friend betray the warrior?!" Shadekit asked with such excitement. [He then felt his fur spike up with a warm feeling as he spotted Birdkit in the corner of his eyes. His ears laid flat against his head, whiskers twitching nervously.] Maybe I should talk to Birdkit again...and make peace with her. [Shadekit then smiled brightly, thinking of being good friends with Birdkit once more. He then turned his bright green eyes to Valorkit, who snuggled in the puffy nest. Shadekit let out a light purr, worrying over her.] I hope Valorkit isn't sick...

I remember that look. He gave me that look when i wouldn't tell the truth as a kit.
(Dicefoot glanced off.)
Better tell the truth, ol' girl.
"Okay, okay, you got me pegged...I saw that dead kit out there and..."
(Dicefoot winced, tail curling around her paws.)
"It scared me...then when I saw the mix of Doveflight's white pelt and spadestripe's spots, something bothered me about that...I guess...I just wanted the remains of Doveflight clipped clean from my memory...at least the bad ones."
(Dicefoot tipped her head a bit.)
"I overreacted...I shouldn't have. I don't know why I liked the tom, but...he seemed special. And I liked that."
(Dicefoot mewed.)

"Aw shucks Galestar...you sure know a lot of good stuff to say."
(She smiled, remembering the siamese leader when he used to speak with her and Spadestripe as they grew up.)
"You sure haven't changed much in spirit."
(She purred slightly at this, and looked out at Smokekit.)
I feel something weird when I look at him...I don't know what it is or how powerful the force is, but...it's something I must pay attention to.

[Galestar chuckled, his eyes twinkling.]
"The body may age," he said wisely, "but the soul is unravaged by time."
[He flicked his tail, a playful look crossing his face.]
"You should spend more time with the kit. He'd probably like a new playmate."
[He purred, feeling satisfied with the truth. He stood and began padding out of the den.]
"I have business to attend to, but please feel free to talk if you need anything. Goodbye, you two."
[With a wave of his tail, he padded out of the den and towards his mother, who was busy watching Iceears tend to Caw. He sighed and sat next to his foster mother, peering at the black bird with curiousity.
I never fully learned Caw's story...I wonder why she would sacrifice so much for us? he wondered.] _____________________________...and melt in the w i n d ?
