[Kyla: Atlantis: Outside Battlefield> Outside Throne room]

Step by step Kyla regained more and more of her senses- yes she was back! She was back!
Everything hurt, especially a horrible deep seated soreness in her back. It exact pin point was hard to determine- then she remembered where the arrow had hit her. At least 3 different places and she didn't want to see what it looked like now.

User Image

What mattered now was that she was back. Ava Mat had listened and helped her get back in time! Bobbi would feel the girl stir in her grasp, a tremble going through her body but it was sure sign she was trying to move on her own again.
“Bobbi.” She said again- this time with a voice that didn't sound as distant anymore.
“What is happen-“ !!!
Someone was coming, something was happening. A brilliant light of golden hue in the distance- and then suddenly Noelle was in their faces!
User Image
“Don’t move” she ordered to them and for a moment their eyes met. Kyla didn’t need words to know that look. But what would prompt it- what was with the tears- why did her heart feel so heavy and so afraid all of a sudden?
Ever since that tug on it she felt that anxiety growing. But when was Kyla ever NOT worrying. When was she ever NOT wondering what was going on? When was she ever not fearing the worst and working the hardest to prevent her worst nightmares?
Suddenly they were dragged on moving ground- Riku hoping on halfway as they sped towards that brilliant light. A sound of someone crying out and looking ahead Kyla saw her worst fear realized once more.
After all that happened. After all of that.
User Image
“…….K-“
Words were stolen from her lips as she stood transfixed staring at the spot where their leader once stood in his place a golden circlet seal of light. There was something...final about this. As the last vestige of Kyle form disintegrated out of sight, his disembodied form vanishing like it was made of dust, Kyla felt a strange absence she hadn’t felt before.
If hearts could scream, hers would have no voice left when it was finished.

(continuation)

(cue:Sad song Tears for Alice )

There was no way of knowing when she slipped from Bobbi’s grasp, only that her arm slid down and she stumbled from her side. Walking step by numbing step. A pitiful pattern of concentrated stumbling steps all the way forward. Brushing passed Riku- nearly knocking into him, passed Dani, nearly passed Noelle, only the hint of fabric grazing her side.
User Image
She dropped to her knees, once or twice, but each time she girls struggled to get up over and over and kept walking. In a flash of light she summoned her book! Practically tearing the spine open with fumbling fingers she started drawing furiously. Not second later she tore the page out and activated it. User Image

It ignited like fire, golden lines running across what looked like an image of a person.
A matching outline lined her own body- she was casting some kind of spell- but just as quickly as it began to work, it fizzled out of power. She drew another one. And another. And another. Eyes filling up with moister that dropped onto her pages as she tore page after page after page- trying desperately to cast Inked Exchange-

She would have traded her body for his.

Over and over.
She drew Kyle again and again.
One person for another.

But each time the spell just burned out.

Not enough mana. Not enough strength.

Or nothing to gather for.

Page after page gathered around the girl as she tried to revive her friend from whatever took him. they fell like dead leaves around her, unable to take shape into the form of magics she wanted.

' I can fix this... I an fix this... I have to fix this... I can fix this.. common, just one more... just one more...it's going to be ok... it's going to be ok...
I can fix this... I can-...'

Something caught her eye as she furiously looked through her pages for more references of Kyle. Attacks, faces, mugshots, medium shots- and then...

The first one she ever drew of him.

[ Riku : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room ]

Before Riku could even get to the women, Noelle passed him, grabbed them, and slid back, catching him along the way. He used the time to turn back around, watching the scene that Noelle couldn't. He frowned, but said nothing.

No, they had things to do.

As Kyla moved ahead, desperately trying to do... something, perhaps draw him back again, he cautiously stepped forward, noticing an odd, dark bruise on her upper back. Something about it seemed wrong, but with all the clashing energies in the area, he couldn't rely on his sixth sense--he'd have to look into it later. He knelt down and placed a hand to her shoulder, offering her a potion and ether by placing them down in front of her.

"Whatever he did--whatever he's doing," he said, his voice tense but strong. "He's doing it for the right reasons. Save your strength; he's trusting his Replica to us."

He stood again, craning his head up at the spiraling light before gazing toward the crackling dark. The contrast was affecting more than their vision--the world itself was shivering. The crimson seal, still cracked in spots, was flaring up, sending black bolts of energy off at random, and with each passing second, the bolts grew larger, stronger, ripping away at the stone and earth near it. Kyle was right to warn Axel--the seal was trying to defend itself, attacking the world around it.

The darkness only seemed to spur the light on, however. The more it struggled, the more "angry" it got, the faster the energy spun, the brighter it got, the winged-star shimmering brilliant gold. And the more the spell weave grew in strength, the more intense the tug at their hearts--at least, he assumed it was everyone, because it was growing stronger in his own.

He glared at the seal, summoning the Way to the Dawn. The moment he got a clear shot at Ajora, he was going to take it.

[ Ajora : Atlantis : Throne Room ]

"See, I told you!" Ajora shouted, though at this point his mouth was practically all he had control of; the black veins covered his entire body, from head to toe. Even his wings were black and sickly-looking. He was seething, charging as much energy into the Trident as he could... and they were making significant ground. "It won't stand! We need to leave!"

NO. THE HEART MUST BE DESTROYED.
.:NO. THE HEART MUST BE DESTROYED.:.

"Ultima, you idiot!" he snarled. The fused beams of Atlantean energy and cursed Trident magic were sending off errant blasts of energy, damaging the surrounding room, though the King was safe behind his barrier. "You're obeying a force that has no qualms with sacrificing you on a failed mission! Listen to me!"

THIS WORLD IS OURS, ALL WORLDS ARE OURS, WE WILL NOT BE STOPPED.
.:THIS WORLD IS OURS, ALL WORLDS ARE OURS, WE WILL NOT BE STOPPED.:.

The black beam pushed further and further.

[Kyla: Atlantis: Throne Room]

It hurts…

Where Riku touched her, it hurt. It was like her entire back had been covered in a horrible sunburn- the slightest touch sent a soreness that reminded her of muscle pains when her fevers rose to terrible heights.

Strangely though, she was ok with that. It was a different pain then the raw agony of before. It was like feeling an old wound. It was familiar, less aggressive. It allowed her to focus and come out of her sorrowful stupor. She hadn’t realized that while her mouth had been open, not a sob escaped her lips. Somehow she miraculously kept her weeping silent, and brushing the wasted paper aside she turned her book forward, carefully preserving the first picture she had of Kyle at the beginning of her journal logs.

Yes- Riku was right.

Ajora was who they would deal with now.

Oh! Of course!

Suddenly Kyla was upright, reaching for the potion she down them both in moments. Feeling their magic take hold she felt new life and energy flow through her body. The minor scratches and cuts were gone. Her strength returned, her mana filled up inside like a well suddenly overflowing.
She could feel the magic of her powers itching through every fiber of her being once more-

Yet even still, the soreness in her back remained- along with the inky mark which was once again hidden beneath her hair as she rose to her feet.
Stepping back Kyla jumped to her fresh pages and quickly began sketching again- the pen made blacks, greys appears first creating the outline, and then colors of white, vibrant purple and golden and red bloomed into the picture. When she was satisfied Kyla turned and showed it to Riku.

It was a picture perfect replica of the last thing she saw of Ajora, his new form, that which was waiting for them inside.
She tapped on it with her feather tip.

”Please keep in mind that what I say can be purely subjective information applicable only to the past half hour since I was inside. However given this circumstances I do not want this information to go to waste. This is who or what awaits us on the other side. And there’s more he’s not himself either. While much more powerful, something is wrong inside Ajora- he’s paying the price for his thirst for power I think. Our chance to take him out will come sooner than later. The last time we spoke, Ajora seemed to disagreeing with who or whatever is sharing his heart and body. It's almost like he's coming apart at the seams-”

She looked at the red tipped wings she would never forget. This Angel of chance...
Far more terrifying then an angel of death.

Taking the quill again, Kyla began to trace a familiar pattern some should recognize from having witnessed it on Kyle earlier.
“At times this grows on his skin, though he’s been trying to suppress it- I suspect there’s a power play going on inside him. Their emergence could be a sign that he’s more vulnerable to attack- but also more dangerous because of his volatile nature. He may seem confidant- perhaps he is, but as of now his mind is divided.”

“-and there is one more thing-“she paused.

“ he’s afraid.”

she continued to illustrated his transformation, where the marks began, and how they receded. His change in attire and the wings sprouting from his back.
"With the trident he's dangerous- but something doesn't seem right. He was planning on using the princess to capture the heart no doubt- that's how it has to be done. When I was down there the Crystal Heart of Atlantis wasn't taken yet- however, if he's attempted I'm surpassed he hasn't come out here guns blazing. There are only two reasons I can think of right now...hm.. maybe three."

She drew 3 diagrams and circles each one as she continued to speak-s he usually monotone.
" One: He's waiting to trap us once we're inside, knowing this barrier cannot stay up forever. Two: He's having trouble still keeping his composure. Three: Something went wrong with his attempt t gain control over the crystal using Kida. ..but then again... he's all about chance. Because there something MUCH bigger then him that he's scared of. I'll explain later but right now- kill us, may not be his true intention. Not if he thinks we can be useful. It's almost like he wants us to challenge him- again and again. this could be just another battle to him, nothing more. Which means he may have an escape route planned- and a way to keep us occupied once we get through."

As much as she would like to take Ajora out once and for all, to see this replica meet his end as Kyle may have hoped- she did not hold it passed him that the schemer was always thinking 3 steps ahead.

[ "Kyle" : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room ]

{ Cue Finale : Even in Death }
{ Alternate Finale : Even in Death (T-Morra) }

The energy around the group was growing heavy, the clashing forces of gold and crimson causing wild fluctuations in the air and ground. Darkness tried to swell, only to be countered by the surging Light. The spinning light began to hum above the horrid vibrations of the darkness, and it seeped into everything and everyone. The hearts of Kyle's friends and allies seemed to flicker with intensity, as if something was trying to get to the top, trying to surface in their thoughts and minds. Despite the sorrow or frustration they may or may not have felt, their hearts were screaming, bellowing with the cries of triumph, of righteous retribution. Invigoration overflowed, and even the negative feelings seemed to shine in a different light--their anger channeled into drive, their grief to motivation. Purpose ignited them.

A powerful crack of thunder echoed as black lightning struck from the seal directly onto the golden circle--doing nothing but making it glow brighter. Another assaulted it shortly after, attacking the center symbol, and though it flickered, it flared back more than ever, as if offended that something dare attempt to hinder it. And still, their hearts surged.

Suddenly, a thin layer of the inner circle, bordering the symbol, clicked into place with a loud, ethereal chime--like a massive bell ringing. The layer was anything but solid--it was a mess of intricate symbols and hieroglyphs, each flaring to life a they appeared. Simultaneously, light surged from Joe's chest, enveloping him in a pristine white aura, and a single memory surged to his mind--

--back to back, surrounded by Darkness, flaring with Light, the fighter and dragoon dared the Nameless beast to strike--

Then, another chime. Another chime, another layer of intricate symbols, and another person's heart and body glowing immaculate white--this time, Noelle--

--she watched as Kyle braced himself from the sudden upward rise, her magic causing a massive stone column to raise him dozens of feet into the air. "That's amazing!" he shouted down, grinning at the geomancer who obviously needed no training--

The crimson seal was getting more and more violent, ripping away at stone, leaving deep gashes everywhere it could--but nothing mattered. Chime. Symbols. And now, Kyla's heart and body flared to life--

--she angrily held her sketchbook open, glaring at Hades in his own domain, when Kyle jumped in front of her, spear at the ready, challenging the God of Death himself to keep her safe--

The world was rumbling now, buckling under the primal dichotomy. Chime. Symbols. Next, Matthew surged to the fore--

--the sudden realization of who this man in green and gold was stunned the blue mage, but only momentarily, as he rushed to give the smaller man a bear hug, the two laughing at their reunion--

Despite all reason, haunting black veins--much like Kyla's pictures of Ajora--began to grow out from the seal, but not on the ground, not on the building--into the air itself, Darkness infecting reality. Nothing would stop the reaction. Chime. Symbols. Dawn's heart ignited--

--after showing him the seal on her hand, she saw the look of guilt in his eyes. His Replica had done this to her, and as distant as Kyle could be with her, the dancer knew he was truly sorry--

The veins began to grow forward and around, converging in front of the seal's center, coalescing into a disgusting, cancerous mass. Still the Light grew brighter. Chime. Symbols. Even Riku was called--

--the Keyblade Master watched as Kyle massaged the bridge of his nose, conflicted about the allegiance of the various Nobodies, Zexion included. He was doubting himself. "We'll just keep an eye on him," he told the dragoon in reassurance--

Chime. Chime. Chime. Chime. Four layers, four final hearts, as Bobbi, Jon, Kyle M, and Dani's body flashed and glowed--

--the mountain was quaking with volatile energy, causing every inch of the island to tremble, but they each had their role. Ooze, distracted with the Megazord, paid them no mind--until, alongside Kyle, they each assaulted him, shoving him into the volcano--"Even the invincible fall!"--

Hovering in the air, shining brilliant gold, was Kyle's own seal*, surrounded by a fiery white corona. The crimson seal and black veins were surging with tangible rage, errant bolts nearly striking the group, causing small bursts in the rock, but the massive glyph simply began to glow brighter, brighter, blinding and searing--

--and then the malignant coagulation of Darkness unleashed a pure, concentrated beam of black and crimson energy, striking the Light, assaulting it, intent on destroying it.

And when the beam finally faded away... the glyph was cracked, webs tearing across its surface. Moments later, it shattered, its pieces all seeming to fall into the glyph, as if at the center was a powerful force of gravity. It was broken...

... wide open. As the shards of light were consumed, any who looked would see that the corona around the seal was still in place, and the seal itself seemed to simply be an opening, a portal into darkness--no, not darkness. Space. Hundreds and hundreds of stars flared into life, as brilliant as a rural night sky--

"--ASTRUM!"

{ Finale 2 : Galaxy Heavy Blow }

His voice clear as day resounded in their minds, in their chests, reverberated the air around them as the heavenly bodies rushed forward, racing through space toward reality. When the first one broke through into their world, it impacted the mass of black veins, erupting in a violent explosion of Light. And then more and more rushed out, nothing more than blurred stars, assaulting the Darkness, bursting with Light, an endless stream of magic. Those who had fought alongside Kuja would find Kyle's inspiration in the Genome's own Ultima spell.

With every eruption, every moment of scorching energy, the veins writhed, flailing around, swiping at the world around it, but it continued to burn away under the limitless pressure. Kyle had given everything to a rain of stars, calling the heavens themselves upon the seal--and they would not be stopped. The seal cracked more and more--it wouldn't be long before it fell.

[[??? : Atlantis : Inside Bobbi & Kyla]]

As the light picked up intensity and the dragoon vanished into stardust, the darkness in the back of the two girl's minds receded, if not by choice, by natural reaction, like any shadow in the presence of a blinding light escaping to the nooks and crannies, watching and waiting... or so it seemed.

As the light reached the pinnacle, a feeling that could only be described as a spiritual static tickled their souls like a sleeping limb. It's voice called out to them in protest, "What the--- Hey, what's going ---- Why can't --- anythi- --- to me ----- hell ----- -yle do----- g-- f--- om---"

The voice went silent, but the feeling lingered.

{Bobbi .:. Atlantis .:. Outside Throne Room}User Image

Bobbi grunted as Kyla started walking of her own accord, taking her weight from the Archer's shoulders.

"Welcome back to the land of the living," Bobbi said huskily, not letting Kyla go. She wasn't about to lose her grip on Kyla; she had orders.

Take care of her.

Bobbi looked up in time to see Noelle and Riku heading their way, Noelle traveling at a ridiculously good clip, but she was distracted at the sight of what was left of Kyle. She felt like she should be squinting just to look at him, but the light wasn't painful; it was only the meaning behind that Light that hurt.

"Oh, no. Oh, you sunnovabitch, don't you dare go out on us, I swear to God, Kyle..."

The only reason Bobbi noticed she was crying was because her vision wavered and blurred. She felt a slight push as Noelle grabbed hold of her collar, and looked down to see the grip. She hadn't noticed Noelle catching up to them, but she should have expected it.

When the Earth Noelle was moving stopped and Kyla staggered away, Bobbi sank to the ground, choking back sobs. When Kyle was gone from sight completely, and all that remained was the Light, Bobbi's mouth could be seen forming the word "no," though no sound escaped her lips. One hand covered her mouth, shaking uncontrollably, but she didn't have time to grieve, not really. Her shaking steadied, her heartbeat slowed, and her tears slowed to a halt as renewed strength and determination filled her almost to the brink. Chimes resounded through the air, and one by one the friends on the battlefield were engulfed in light as well.

She didn't notice she was back on her feet; she had no memory of standing. But Taulmaril was in her hand, an arrow nocked and ready, as she waited patiently for the seal to break, and Ajora to rear his ugly head. She was too far off to see Kyla's sketches, but that didn't matter. She would know what to shoot.

She wouldn't miss.

[Dawn : Atlantis : Outside Throne Room]

Dawn watched Kyle, as he continued to fade. No one really answered her question, but at this time that didn't really matter. He was really fading. Bobbi and Kyla were back safe. However, what was the cost? He was disappearing. She watched as Kyla tried to desprately to draw him, but not succeeding. Tears were setting in the corners of eyes as things went on. Then the chiming. Dawn's tears flowed freely as her heart was pulled and light surrounded her. For a brief moment a glimps of Kyle's memories.

"You fool!" Dawn shouted into nothingness, "I never blamed you! You don't need to sacrifice yourself because of him! Haven't we already lost enough? This is so stupid!"

Dawn shook her head as she tried to stop her tears and reign in on her emotions and prepare for what was about to unfold next by summoning her fans.

{James : Black Pearl : Below Deck}

The corsair continued sucking on the piece of dried meat in his mouth. Once a bit of the salt was removed and the meat moistened a bit the flavors really did meld surprisingly well, he nodded his head in agreement to Anthony's statement with a small smile.

James was forced to cover his ears as Anthony began to bang the jar he had grabbed against the table trying to force it open. What was normally only loud and irritating, to the corsair with his enhanced hearing sounded like symbol crashes while standing right next to the percussionist. At the same time, the knight was answering his question regarding Michelle and he barely hear the answer over the cacophony.

The lunar gunner didn't remove his hands from his ears until his companion had finished bashing the jar against the table and it was open, the contents within the knight's hand.

"Good luck with that, I don't like beans, and would you mind warning me the next time you're going to bash a jar against the table? Having a wolf as a summon has given me a stronger sense of hearing, that really hurt."

He fell silent as his thoughts fell to the whereabouts of his wife, he was glad that she wasn't on the ship... The last thing he would have wanted was for her to see him attack Dawn, or her for that matter. Anthony also seemed pretty sure that she wasn't down below with the other group either. That meant that she was still at the cove more than likely.

'At least you're safe then love,' he thought taken a bit of solace in that fact. 'Why did you come back though if you weren't ready to fight?'

The corsair knitted his fingers together and let out a sigh as he looked down at the table. He was sure he knew the reason that she came back, it was to be with him again... and she came back to find that he had been turned evil by Ajora. Did she immediately lose her will to fight after that? He certainly couldn't blame her if that was the case.

'If she can't take the good with the bad though... then she really shouldn't come back.'

'You can't blame her for trying to come back to you, can you?' replied Fenrir.

'No, but still I would rather she stay at the castle where it is safe then come back and not be ready to fight no matter what.'

[Anthony ~.~ Black Pearl ~.~ Galley]

Anthony had grabbed yet another jar and was readying his arm to bash the lid against the table when James voiced his discomfort. "Sorry," he whispered, then lightly tapped the lid against the edge of the table. "You'd think I'd have an easier time opening jars given my increased strength, huh?

CONTRADICTION!

The knight noticed the corsair grow suddenly silent. He looked to be in deep thought. It didn't occur to him how insensitive he may have sounded when talking about Michelle. It must be hard to be separated from the person you love, especially in this messed up universe.

Ripping a chunk of the jerky with his teeth, the brawler asked as he chewed, "You know what one of my favorite things about Kingdom Hearts is?" He paused for a moment, shifting the jerky in his mouth to the other side. "The will of the characters. Mainly Sora's." He stopped and swallowed the jerky prematurely, cringing slightly as the the chunk forced its way down his esophagus. "I could be wrong, but I believe Sora and Kairi love each other. Like, love-love. I mean, the guy ran across worlds looking for her, he held her heart in his heart, and he even gave up his heart to save her. Not to mention the whole paopu fruit thing. This guy went to hell and back for her--literally. He went to the Underworld and everything, fighting heartless and monsters and whatever else got in his way." He waved his hand in air in a "and so on and so on" sort of manner. "You get the idea."

The entire time he spoke, Anthony tried his best to avoid eye contact and occupy his hands. The young man played with the jars on the table mostly. He felt embarrassed. He normally doesn't speak to anyone like this, especially another man. Something about a "Bro Code," or whatever, was embedded in his mind that prevented him from getting in touch with his more "sensitive side." 'Twasn't in his nature.

One of the jars fell and the brawler quickly picked it up and placed it back on the table, then made sure it was stable as he slowly moved his hands back (just incase the jar decided to fall down again).

"The point I'm trying to make is that... Sora and Kairi eventually found each other. I mean, Sora found Kairi abuncha times, sure, but she was barely conscious so those times don't count. And yeah, they were separated again at the end of the first game, only to be reunited in the second and all that, but at the end, they found each other, and I bet they'll always find each other regardless of what may come between them because that's what people do when they're in love. Even if the whole situation is just downright stupid and pointless and they're only, like, pubescent teenagers and the world as they know it has completely changed, yet they somehow adapt and survive--and I'm going off in a tangent, sorry--they'll always look for each other, even if it would be smarter to stay put and search later when they're more prepared, and they'll always find each other."

The young man paused once more, collecting his thoughts. "And I think you and Michelle are sorta like Sora and Kairi in that sense... you two will always find each other and God help whatever or whoever gets in the way of you two reuniting."

Anthony was yet again playing with a jar on the table, which toppled over when he finished speaking. He quickly placed the jar back in its upright position, once again moving his hand back in caution. "But, um.. yeah... Love and stuff. Most powerful thing in the Disney universe. It does cool things." He cleared his throat. "...I'll stop talking now," he said, then immediately began to twiddle his thumbs out of awkwardness.

{James : Black Pearl : Galley}

James couldn't help but chuckle at Anthony's reply regarding his strength, that indeed was a bit of contradiction. But the corsair had a feeling that was more the knight's approach to opening them and not his actual strength. But he wasn't going to say that.

{{Cue : Recollection}}

The corsair remained silent, sucking on another piece of jerky to moisten the dried meet as he listened to Anthony talk about the will of Sora, giving unnecessary examples of what he and Kairi went through to find each other time and again. He understood the point that the brawler was trying to make all too well. He chuckled at the conclusion, knowing all too well what he meant. The power of love had been the saving force for both Michelle and himself once, that event had felt like ages ago to the corsair though it had only really been a few days ago. When Anthony said he was going to stop talking he couldn't help but smirk.

"You have no idea how right you are Anthony, back shortly after Michelle and I joined the group. Someone cast a spell on Jenny and me to make us think that we loved each other, I believe in an attempt to cause tension within the group. Michelle, feeling betrayed, fell into depression and gave into the darkness. During which time, Jenny and I lost our connection with our summons. Luxord took our weakness as an opportunity to try and kill Michelle and I, and nearly succeeded. True love broke the spell and the connection to our summons was restored and I warded Luxord off by summoning Fenrir. I know that we'll be alright, but I cannot help but worry about her, her safety is my responsibility, more so than anyone else's. I would give my life just to make sure she was safe," James stated his fingers clenching into fists upon the table. His currently golden eyes narrowed intently.

[Matt :-: Atlantis :-: Outside Throne Room]

Matt walked over to the group, covered in nicks here and there from battling the waves of Heartless. He still held the neck of the empty Ether bottle in his hand, the remainder of it having been smashed over a Neoshadow's head. With the disappearance of the larger forces of the enemy faction, the Heartless' numbers dwindled to the point where Matt couldn't find anymore to fight. He had been so intent on his hunt that he had pretty much ignored everything unrelated.

Still lagging behind the group, he was stunned by a flash of light that came from ahead, followed by a warm... tugging at his heart. 'Oh god, what's Kyle doing now,' he thought, then ran ahead to finally catch up. Meeting up with the group, he tried to find Kyle but came up with nothing; he did however find a second seal that was becoming more detailed in front of the first. As he looked at it, for some reason unknown to him he recalled meeting up with Kyle again, and how happy he was to see his friend for the first time, alive and well.

The happy thought was cut short however, by the seals suddenly going apeshit and attacking eachother, the seal of light coming apart to unleash a final assault on the other. "Okay, yeah, I feel like I have missed something and need to be filled in," he said.

{Sephiroth ;Genesis : Pharos Lighthouse : Chamber of the Sun-cryst}

{{Cue : Those Chosen By The Planet}}

A dark portal appeared within the elaborate chamber atop the Pharos Lighthouse, and out from it stepped Sephiroth and Genesis. The Chosen Legion's hair trailed behind him as he walked away from the portal and approached the brilliant crystal. The man was aware that Genesis was with him. However, he acted as though the younger man wasn't even there. His one wing remained furled at his side as he stopped before the Sun-Cryst.

"Ah, magnificent I have missed this feeling," The One-winged Angel stated as he gazed upon the crystal. He closed his eyes as he felt the dark energy that emanated from the crystal. He was tempted to raise his arms to reach for it, but refrained.

As Genesis stepped out of the portal he looked around the large chamber and let out a long whistle, clearly impressed. The crimson-coated man ran a gloved hand through his hair as he followed Sephiroth to stand behind where he stood.

"Sephiroth, what is that?" he asked, clearly referring to the Sun-cryst. Of course the dark knight could feel the energy from the stone. It resonated with his very core, just as he was sure it did with Sephiroth.

"I think it best to let it reveal that to you, if it deems you worthy," The silver-haired man replied, his eyes not leaving the stone.

This was the reason that the Legion had brought Genesis with him, to see if the darkness believed him to be of any worth, either to it or to Sephiroth himself. The Legion had a task to do, anything or anyone that would not be of use to fulfilling his purpose would be deemed expendable and destroyed.

[ Xehanort : Pharos Lighthouse : Chamber of the Sun-Cryst ]

"I was wondering when we'd see you next," came the amused bass voice from the shadow of a column nearby. A moment passed before the clicking of boots signaled Xehanort's appearance, stepping into the cold, illusory light of the deifacted Nethicite.

At first, they might have noticed didn't look much different than he had in the past couple years, but on closer inspection as he entered the light, a few differences would have stood out. For one, his face was more youthful than the Heartless, seeming more akin to the Nobody; even his hairwas a bit messier in appearance. The most obvious difference, though, was that in the place of the Heartless emblem on his chest, the emblem of the Keyblade Masters kept his coat together.

"And you've brought the prototype with you, I see," he continued, glancing side-long at the red-cloaked Genesis. Though he had a young voice, his tone and speech seemed almost... sagacious. "This, young man, is the Sun-Cryst, a crystallized manifestation of the Darkness. If you seek more answers than that, then I suggest you connect with it."

{ Sephiroth ; Genesis : Pharos Lighthouse : Chamber of the Sun-Cryst}

The Legion turned his focus away from the stone to Xehanort as the Seeker appeared. Sephiroth's green slitted eyes gazed at the man, he seemed a bit different than the last time they had met, the Heartless logo that had been emblazoned on his chest was replaced by a different insignia as well he seemed to be a bit younger.

"Genesis, this is Xehanort, The Seeker of Darkness," he stated answering the undoubted question that was on the young man's mind before he had even asked it. "The power that the Sun-Cryst holds, the energy is exhilarating. It is a sensation unlike any other. It's almost intoxicating. Wouldn't you agree?" he asked of the white-haired man that stood before them.

Genesis turned his attention away from Sephiroth and the stone raising his rapier instinctively into a defensive position as Xehanort approached. In his degrading state, he never liked being caught off guard. However, the sage-like words of the man put him at ease and he lowered it back to his side.

"A manifestation of pure darkness?" he mused to himself. "The Gift of the Goddess perhaps." he stated with a slight smirk as he turned his attention back towards the deifacted Nethicite.

He approached the Sun-cryst and raised his arms, his hands trembled slightly, a small sign of fear as he reached out towards the crystal. He closed his eyes as his hands and placed his hands against the surface of the Nethicite.
