From what I've seen in Wikipedia, the Aztecs had an indirect hegemonic empire. This means that their leaders treated the various city-states in their lands as mere sources of tributes. Since having the Aztec city-states in EU3 and EU4 would be impossible due to the map size and because the historical form of government would be somewhat impossible with the game engine, I figured to just recreate the Aztec Triple Alliance by mixing the Tribal Federation with the Despotic Monarchy. 3nodding

I think in EUIV they have the Aztecs with a bunch of vassals, but every time you reform a bit more, some vassals break free.

52. I'm seriously pissed off now, and I take part of the blame.
Back in 2009, I was concerned for a friend because I thought he was going to kill himself. He told me he he was depressed and everything and how I talked him out of it. Well, after a while, he decided to remove me from his friend list without word. Well, that may be fine and dandy, but I thought he was going to kill himself. ALL THIS BLOODY TIME, I THOUGHT HE WAS DEAD! I really liked him too. Well, now I learned my lesson. Don't care so damn much or people will not want me around them.
I should have looked at his profile to see if he was going to kill himself. I do think his profile "About me" was what made me think he was dead. Should have made sure he was alive. Now I know he wasn't dead at the time, I am pissed; although, he could have killed himself.
I don't know what to think.
No, this is a different friend, not the one I found out in April that he killed himself.
I just, I can't believe someone would do that.
I am wondering if this other friend of mine is still alive. I don't know what think anymore.

Probably not for awhile, since El Dorado changed a lot of things for the Aztecs.
A friend and I are thinking of starting an interactive AAR. I'm so excited about it. whee

I didn't even see your post, Sup3r. That sounds horrible. Kind of a cruel thing to just cut you off like that and not explain why. Maybe he had a good reason as to why he stopped talking to you, although removing you from his friend's list sounds a bit much. Don't let that experience make you think that everyone is like that though. There are decent people out there too. biggrin

As for the Aztec Triple Alliance, it's called as such because it was initially an alliance between the city-states of Tenochtitlan, Texcoco and Tlacopan. As time went on, Tenochtitlan became the dominant leader and the two other city-states become borderline vassals. All three city-states were there where Mexico City currently stands. 3nodding
I was also able to put in the game two of the kingdoms of Madagascar. I could have went for more but I can't create new provinces. There's also a lack of data in some of those kingdoms, so I can't create more properly. sweatdrop

I created a new techgroup unique to the Mongol Khanate. This is so that they can form the Mughal Empire without resorting to vassalizing anyone.
I had just finished modding the New World and the African techgroups last night. As for the Chinese techgroup, it's going to be very long because of the amount of techgroups that I have to split from the Chinese. That being said, the Chinese will get gunpowder units earlier than their neighbors. This is so that the Chinese will not be some weak country. I also have to fix the map so that the whole "discovered_by" values in the province history files would be accurate especially in Asia.
The Roman techgroup has also been finished and that was easy. biggrin
