so yeah brought my Guard out of the box today. Took to many tanks for my own good. But anyways Master of the Fleet found himself becoming a permanent addition to any guard army I make as he managed a keep 3 squads off the table until turn 5

Yep, Emperor bless those interdiction duty Thunderbolts! IG like probably no army hates flankers with flank armor of the tanks much weaker usually and having usually crowded deployment zone...

Actually, most Guard tanks got a healthy side armour value these days, including the three Hellhound variants (12-12-10). Sure the rear armour is still weak, but when most battle tanks rock 14-13-10 (some 11) you've got a little less to worry about.
@Mat: I like the Astropath myself, though the best of the bunch so far with an actual kill ratio has to be my Master of Ordnance.

The Mako is primed, the wheels are done and I've started some basic painting on it. The Dingo on the other hand still needs to be cleaned and assembled, whenever I get the chance for that... sweatdrop

WIP Venator, wheels are almost done, they need another drybrush of dirt, somehow my purity seal ate the weathering powder. It's tiny, like a woman's mobile phone, or a piece of cereal. WIP Vulture, still working on how to best weather it, plus I still need to prime and paint the cockpit. Close up of the weathering.

reinventing my IG wheel today... We will see how it goes
Edit: Ok after some serious counting of what I had and then some tinkering I came up with what seems like something somewhat usable. Though mostly this is just about every single Guard model I own put to use and some I dont even have yet IE Officer of the Fleet

You're not too worried about not being very mobile with only one Chimera?
