He didn't hate her? At first, the medicine cat didn't believe her ears and it took a few seconds for her to fully register the words. She met her adoptive son's gaze. She had given him the lobe he needed? Her? The ill-tempered medicine cat of NightClan had given Rainpaw the love he needed, like all mother cats were supposed to. Was that even possible? Maybe it was, maybe she just had to try. She let out a sigh of relief and smiled softly, giving Rainpaw a gentle lick on the head. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, resting her head on his and listening to his purr, before stepping back.] "Thank you, Rainpaw," she purred and smiled. Hauntedheart glanced up as Sunpaw came over to join them. She glanced at the she-cat and watched the affection and love between the two. Hauntedheart remembered when she had been that young. She had only been a few moons older then the two when she had met Foxclaw and fell in love. The medicine cat winced slightly at the thought of those memories but hid it quickly. Instead, she nodded to Sunpaw and mewed,] "I'm very happy for both of you and I'm sure you will be very happy together. Your parents would have been proud of you, both of you." [Hauntedheart dipped her head to the two before padding back into her den, deciding to give Rainpaw and Sunpaw some privacy. She padded into the den and glanced around. Slowly, she made her way to Rabbitpaw's side and stopped. Things seemed to be going well, which was good, and Hauntedheart no longer felt a large weight weighing down on her shoulders.]╔════════════►☠◄════════════╗How can you see into my eyes like open doors

Almost immediately, a sharp pain shot up his foot. He let out an unintentional yowl, spitting curses. He winced for a moment, breathing hard. Geez...it seems this paw is getting worse every moon, he thought tiredly. He blinked. Nothing poppy seeds couldn't fix though.
Rabbitpaw turned around, but his ears flattened slightly as he noticed that Huantedheart was next to him. He blinked in surprise. Had she been there the whole time?! He laughed slightly, muttering a 'sorry', and limped to the medicine store. His heart skipped a beat as he scanned the neat piles of herbs for poppy seeds. Nothing. He hissed in frustration, his claws digging into the ground underpaw. He turned away from the corner, looking back at Hauntedheart.] "Err, Hauntedheart, we're out of poppy seeds," [he meowed, his whiskers twitching slightly. He felt a little buzzy in the head all of the sudden. And as if he was in horrible despair. His eyes watered for a moment. He blinked a few times, feeling anger inside for a moment. What the heck was wrong with him?! They were just poppy seeds!]

Getting to my paws, I quickly shook out my coat, then leaned down to gently brush my muzzle against Mudnoses'. I stared at her for a few seconds, smiling slightly. I loved her. Straightening up, I looked back at Eaglesoar, forcing a happy tone] "Thanks Mudnose. You stay here and try not to over-exert yourself, okay? I want you to get better. Eaglesoar, I'll come with you. Maybe we can take an apprentice, that should be fine between you and I," [Of course, I was referring to our massive sizes. Turning away from Mudnose, I padded out of the den, signaling for the orange warrior to follow with a flick of my bushy tail. Surveying the camp, I frowned. Most of the warriors were still recovering from the fight. I was fine, though. He raced forward, his nose pointed to her legs, and ran right under her, knocking her off her feet ((if that's alright with you. If not I'll edit)). He laughed and turned around to see her laying on the ground. [When Marblepaw was done changing Lightsound's bedding she rolled the bad moss out of the medicine cat's den in a large ball. She wrinkled her nose, sneezed, and continued to roll it away. After she deposited it she made herself comfortable in a patch of sunlight. She was bored. Her mentor hadn't done much with her and she wanted to do anything but sit around. She crossed her paws and rested her head on them, closing her eyes halfway. She had felt so useless three days ago. She didn't know anything!] I feel stupid. [she thought, sighing. She rolled over and sprawled out on her back, letting the sun warm her belly. Her paws stuck up in the air and she aimlessly batted one out, as if she was trying to touch the sun. [Hauntedheart glanced down at her apprentice as he spoke. That was odd, she had thought they had had enough yesterday. Maybe she hadn't reliezed how low they were. At first, Hauntedheart was set on sending Rabbitpaw but then decided it would be nice to have some time alone. She had just been wishing for some and now she got the chance.] "Alright, I'll go get some," [she mewed and padded out of the den. She walked quickly across camp before departing from the camp. She stopped a few foxlengths later and took in a deep breath, savoring the silence. The only sound was from the trees and surrounding nature. It was so peaceful and calming. The medicine cat flicked her tail and thought about where the poppy seeds would be growing. She remembered a patch by the StormClan border and headed off toward the border at a brisk trot, ignoring the slight pain that still remained in her hind leg. She made her way quickly through the forest until she arrived at the border and made her way over to the poppy seeds. Before getting herbs, Hauntedheart gazed across the border and into StormClan's territory. Memories drifted into her mind, ones she didn't want to think about. Although, as she gazed across the border, memories of an old friend entered her mind. She smiled as she thought of Cinderwing and wondered how his life was. She had promised to visit him bit things had gotten so busy that she hadn't had anytime alone. The medicine cat tilted her head and continued to stare into the territory beyound. She had free time now, didn't she? Maybe she could go see him now. She doubted anyone would notice her absence and Rabbitpaw could take care of things. Making her decision, she quickly disguised her scent, so she wouldn't be detected, and then Hauntedheart bounded off toward the forest outskirts.]

[Trotting after my mentor, I tuned her out, preferring to listen to nature instead. I liked to think that that would make me a better hunter, the ability to tune everything else out and just listen for sounds of prey. Of course, I was just doing what I thought was right. Ducking under a branch, I followed Puresun to the drier parts of the territory, keeping in step with her, nodding absentmindedly, like I was paying attention. As she slows to a stop, I pricked my ears and slowed down, catching her last few words. Looking up at Puresun, I nodded once, then padded forward, making sure my pawsteps were quick and quiet. I didn't really have a clue at what I was supposed to do here, but I used my common sense. If you make a loud noise, the prey will hear you and get scared. If they see you, they'll probably run away. Stay hidden. It was simple enough.
Sniffing the air, I could detect the scents of the trees, finally regrowing their leaves, the ground, starting to flower, and...what was that smell? I had smelt it before, around the fresh-kill pile, so I assumed it was prey. Following my instincts, I slowly crept forward, carefully placing one small black paw in front of the other. Narrowing my eyes, I noticed my path to the strange smell was blocked by a bush. If I pushed through it, I would probably make a lot of noise. Surveying the bush, I noticed a small opening near the bottom right. Crouching down so low my belly brushed the ground, I slowly pushed myself through the bush, then turned and poked my head out to see if Puresun was watching. Maybe, if I caught this, she'd be proud of me. No one had ever been proud of me. I suddenly wanted to be praised by someone, anyone. I wanted someone to make up for all the compliments and 'Good jobs!' I didn't get from my father. Blinking at my mentor, I turned and dug my claws into the dirt, with one final shove, I was through. Looking around my new surroundings, I spotted a strange yellow thing, sunning itself on a bush. That was the source of the smell. Slinking towards it, I made sure I stuck to the shadows, where my dark pelt blended in quite nicely. As I neared it, I payed extra attention to where I was placing my paws. This was it! My first catch. Only a tail-length away, I stopped in confusion. What did I do now? I had never actually seen someone hunt before, let alone how they actually caught it. Growing slightly, I decided to go for brute strength and crouched down, pausing for a few seconds before leaping, and landing a paws-length away. The lizards eyes snapped open, but I quickly slapped my paw down on it's neck, using my other to hold down it's tail. What did I do now? How do I kill it? Unsure, I called out to Puresun] "Uh, Puresun? Can you, uh, can you come here for a second?" [As my words ran out through the forest, my ears flattened in embarrassment. So much for proving what a great hunter I was] ___________________________________________________________________________ Didn't think so.
