The Darth Vizzle They probably mean you, not your character. Which means they think you did something without understanding the underlying mechanics, which doesn't have to do with metagaming, so much as knowing what the ******** is going on. I am not saying the comment was correct since I don't really know what it is directed towards in particular. But I think if anything they probably meant it (or attempted to mean it) as Deitric said.

Look at that. I won.
Good luck in our fight Jello, though you won't need it.

If I don't know, how the hell do they expect my character to know? And if it's supposed to be obvious, then that's a flaw on my opponent's part for not explaining it better.

Because you're supposed to figure it out. The judges shouldn't coddle people, if you're going to go in and make a post without knowing what the ******** is going on, that's your prerogative. If you don't ask your opponent, or look it up to try and understand OOCly, that isn't the judges' responsibility, and it isn't their problem.
Again, nothing to do with metagaming, everything to do with the player needing to make sure they understand what the ******** is going on. It could be your opponent's fault, but if the judges could understand her post just fine, then they're likely not going to see it that way. Again, it becomes the responsibility of the player to either communicate with their opponent on the matter, or look up how something works to gain a better understanding.

Sure, judges shouldn't coddle people and all. But, at the same time, if my opponent describes a fan, and I think it's a fan, and there's no indication that it isn't a fan, then I have no reason to think it isn't just a really giant magical fan. And there's no reason my character would think otherwise either. It was described as a fan, and only a fan, and I roleplayed it as if it were a fan. I honestly have no idea what they were talking about, truly.

Just Naota Good luck in our fight Jello, though you won't need it. You too. I hope that, regardless of what happens in or after the round, it's something we can both say that we enjoyed being a part of. ...but I'll be honest with you, I've totally switched over to being enthusiastic about my DT character. XD

Not that I don't love this character. I've just used him for 4 tournament fights in a row now, and there was all the drama in here, and I drudged up the bio of one of the other characters I love to do fights with.
And is completely the opposite of the one I'm using now.
