Further up the track they came across the train. It was steaming and sparks were flying from it.
"Darn... It almost seems like it was sabotaged." Maddy pointed out as they walked by it. There were some frayed wires sticking out from one of the control panels on the side.
She frowned. "Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything we can do right now to help with th--" She was cut off by a loud scream.
Looking up at the train, Maddy noticed a few passengers banging on the windows and trying to escape. It hadn't even occured to Maddy that there may be people stuck on the train.
"Okay, yeah. Let's help them!"
She grabbed a Poké Ball off her belt and ran to find the entrance to the train and force it open.
[No reserve. Use a physically strong Pokémon (one with strong Psychic powers can work, too!) to get into the train and save some passengers. Be prepared to carry some passed out bodies off the train. The Pokémon that participates gets an evo point.]

Rose promptly called out her Mime Jr "Quick, help them get out with your psychic power" Rose requested.
"Miiiimmmmmeeee" the pokemon said, it's eyes glowing as it tried busting open the doors with telekinesis.
Once the door opened sufficiently, Rose rushed into the train and started dragging out one of the unconscious passengers.

("Okay Maddy!") Misery calls out cheerily and runs over to the train. She begins teleporting people out of the train and pulling on the door with her psychic abilities. She seemed really determined.
"Get that door open you guys." Dark says and drops two Pokeballs. Brick and Diddy appear and help with the door. Once the door is open Dark makes his way inside. He then begins assisting pretty ladies off the train as well as carrying out any unconscious ones.
"Well I suppose I can take some time out of my vacation to help people." He says with a sly grin as light shimmers off of his golden triangle shades.
Misery was still doing her best to impress Maddy.

Memo was giggling when the scream made him flinch and turn around with much urgency.
"Ah!"
He let Cereza jump off his head and plant herself into the ground. She readedied herself to make her way the other way around. Memo and his trusy Chikorita found that the train door could be pried open.
"Ok, Lyfa."
He grabbed a ball from his pouch and out came Memo's valiant Pancham. Memo explained the situation and Lyfa took action right away! Wih her mighty paws of petite proportions she ripped open the doors and sent the pieces flying!
"Pan!"
Both Cereza and Memo praised the little bear's work and rushed in to assess the situation.
There were about 6 passengers near the front who needed some help and Memo had to get them off quickly. Using the same method from earlier, he instructed for a Sweet Scent to be spread out the area to put everyone's body and stress at ease. With that Memo's squad made their way to their first target to be lifted, Cereza of course using her vines. Lyfa copied Memo and put the first passenger on her tiny little shoulders, then the second in a piggy back style. Memo has his secured in the same fashion. They were making their way out when Cereza suddenly couldn't carry the second passenger! She and Memo had been strength training earlier! The little old lady was falling a small ways down onto the ground when Lyfa sprinted in and caught her in mid air!
"Chikkka!"
Chikorita applauded her teammate and was overjoyed to get everyone out safe. as soon as they were out they all placed everyone down and administrated first aid.
"How's everyone else?"

Allen nodded running around the side through the narrow gap between the cliff and the train, ending up a bit more towards the center, where there was a broken emergency exit. "Cecil." He tossed the Reuniclus' ball high, revealing him in a bright flash. "Get that door off the hinges and make sure people got off safely. The Reuniclus nodded concentrating a his powers on the twisted screws and mangled metal lock before the door budged. People began pushing with their bodies, somehow making the process more difficult.
"Hold on!" Allen snapped, "Keep calm!" He pounded a fist on the side, a couple of them yiped and backed off, but there was still a lot of pushing and wailing going on. "Cecil pry the door from the train if you have to." The Pokemon nodded. clamping his two large jelly arms around the edges.
The metal groaned and eventually gave out, pulling away with a quick jerk. a small bunch of people poured out onto the ground, Cecil quickly hoisted them away. Allen climbed up to help a few children down. "Follow the jelly guy." He told them before hopping in to help out a couple more injured people.

Caleb gave him a look. Just wait until he starts coming up with nicknames of his own.
Marshtomp readied himself to start smashing open the windows. Caleb called for him to wait and rushed forward, letting out his Fennekin. Marshtomp huffed and folded his arms.
"Crack open the windows and move the glass away from the train," Caleb told her gently. The fox pokemon nodded slowly before turning her attention to the train, her eyes turning blue as she did so. One by one, the windows began cracking. The glass pulled away from the train and formed a small pile beside the tracks. After five windows had been removed, Caleb ordered his pokemon to stop.
"Now you can help get people out of the train..." Caleb pointed out. His Marshtomp looked more than ready to do so. One by one the three of them helped people climb out of the train.

Quickly whipping a Poké Ball from his belt, Rei sent out his Shelgon.
"Emo Cloud, quick, make a way inside. Don't harm the passengers."
Shelgon was happy to oblige. Lowering its head, the Shelgon acted as a battering ram against one of the doors. Ignoring the fact that the doors didn't open that way, it kept ramming into the sturdy door. With a final bash, the door crumpled, and some frightened passengers began stampeding to the new exit. Shelgon decided a Protect would be best suited for the incoming wave, and wedged its body firmly in the opening, preventing passage. The crowd was fuming.
"Hey!"
"Let us out!"
"Oh my Arceus, we're all gonna die!"
Rei nodded to his Shelgon, and the Salamence-to-be let out a terrifying roar. The crowd fell quiet, and the Aquan walked close to the makeshift opening.
"Get in a line. It's the quickest and most efficient way for everyone to get out safe. Last thing I need is a bunch of idiots trampling the elderly and young to death. There are others helping out, as well. Keep calm, and we'll get you all out safely."
A portly businesswoman shoved her way to the front of the line. "My husband! He fainted when the train jolted to a stop! He hates traveling! Please, someone help me!"
Sighing, Rei nodded his head. His Shelgon stepped aside and did its best to keep the steady outflow of passengers calm and orderly while Rei went onboard. Stuck in a passenger's seat was the largest man Rei had ever seen in his life. The stench coming from the creature was foul, pungent, and altogether nauseating. It occurred to the Aquan that the man, in his state of panic, shat himself before passing out. Rei noticed most of the passengers in his car were gone, and so he called out to his companion.
"Emo Cloud... Please... Help me out. Arceus, I have no luck," he muttered. Together with his Pokémon, Rei assisted the mammoth of a human being out from the train. The man, Rei decided, was a public health hazard, and set him far away from the rest of the public. He was rewarded for his efforts by the man waking and promptly vomiting all over his rescuer.
A hundred baths would not rid Rei of the horrible odor that now lingered on his body.

After a few women smile and thank him, Dark walks over to Rei after seeing him deal with that... creature.
"You should've just left that guy there." He chuckles. "Now he's out and everyone can see the mess he made of himself." He looks back at the train to see a stunning woman through the window. She seemed trapped behind a few dislodged seats.
"Well at least it won't smell as bad in there anymore." He laughs a bit and makes his way back into the train to save the woman.

Rei shrugged.
"I'm sure he's happier off the train than the only passenger on a broken car. I bet he'd die of fright if he woke up to an empty train." He wiped some of the grime off himself, doing his best not to throw up himself. Rei sighed as he watched Dark saunter off to rescue another damsel in distress.
"Countess. Be glad you can't smell." He removed his now filthy cloak.
"Why can't I get any beautiful people to rescue?" Rei grumbled pathetically. With each passing day, the unfortunate Aquan felt more and more like he just wasn't the ladies' type.

Maddy was almost at the door to enter the train when she heard a frightened cry coming from a nearby window. Looking up, she noticed a small girl pounding on the already cracked window. Tears were streaming down her face.
"P-Please! Help us! My brother isn't moving!" The little girl cried.
Maddy released her Kirlia, Sydonis, from his Poké Ball.
"Step back!" She told the girl. She then turned to Sydonis. "Take out the window."
The Kirlia nodded and using his psychic powers, he removed the window from the train and tossed it to the side. It shattered on the ground.
Maddy backed up a few steps before running forward and jumping through the window, rolling as she landed in the compartment. Sydonis teleported and appeared beside her.
Maddy kneeled before the little girl and nodded towards her Pokémon. "Grab a hold of him, okay? He'll take you to safety."
The little girl nodded sadly, rubbing at her eyes. She took Sydonis' hand and they both disappeared.
Maddy stood and looked to the other side of the compartment. Sitting near the door was a young boy, about a few years older than the little girl. He was slumped against the wall, unconscious.
Maddy approached the boy and lifted him up, cradling him in her arms. She brought him to the window and found Sydonis outside, already returned from bringing the little girl to safety. She lowered the boy out the window and he landed safely on the ground, assisted by Sydonis' psychic abilities.
"I'm gonna go on ahead. Get him to a doctor and meet back up with us." She told her companion. Sydonis disappeared, along with the boy.
Maddy went off to meet up with the rest of the gang. She was pleased to see that they had gotten everyone off the train.
"Good work, guys! Let's keep going."
She led them onwards, towards their original destination. The rest of the train track was fairly uneventful and they reached the northern half of Coumarine with no troubles.
The ship was even bigger in person. It towered over the small sea-side town and cast a good portion of it in shadow. People were running from the ship and a lot of the town in this half seemed to be smoking.
"Geez... What's going on?"
Maddy was a little concerned. Was Team Flare reforming?

As soon as the group reached the docks, Rei dove into the ocean. It wouldn't make him clean, but he was willing to try. He surfaced, clambered back onto the docks, and ran to the nearest house, smoke billowing from an open window. He did his best to ignore the sweltering heat coming from the building and squinted his eyes, peering through the smoke, his Zubat blowing the thick smoke away from his line of sight. Eventually, Rei could make out a body. Summoning his Shelgon once more, Rei charged inside and took a firm hold on the body.
As he pulled the person out from the home, he was met with a sight even more sickening than the one he witnessed on the train. In his hand was a golden bracelet, which had slipped off from the wrist he was clutching so tightly. The body was of a young woman, or at least, Rei believed it to be. In the patches which still held skin, the body was covered in third degree burns. The legs of this poor woman were blown off, and charred bone was visible in the dim light. A blackened skull grinned at the would-be rescuer. Rei took a few steps back, visibly shaken.
"Wha... What could have done this? An explosion?" The Countess was glad she was blind. The trembling in Rei's voice was all she needed to know about the body he saved. Rei recalled his Shelgon before the scene scarred the Pokémon for life. He wandered into the streets, doing his best to save those he could save. It seemed that, while smoke was everywhere, the source was not exclusively fire. Rei had a sneaking suspicion Weezing and their ilk were out and about. He noticed with a start that his fist was still clenched tight. He opened his shaking hand and looked at the bracelet, bent and twisted beyond use. Rei gritted his teeth and ran onward, his mind now set on revenge.

Caleb and his pokemon were busy being thanked by a school teacher and her students. Caleb was wondering what sort of teacher needed to carry riding crop, but decided against asking.
Hearing Maddy, Caleb rejoined the group. He was doing his best to wipe the lipstick off his face. Aside from the 'rewards' that adorned his face, the teacher had also invited him to come visit their school when he had time. The kids were more than eager to see him and his 'super cool' friends again soon.
His Fennekin hissed as they entered the town. He was beginning to wish that he had brought more than one water type with him. There was debris was everywhere. Not to mention the screaming. So much screaming. The fact that it was so close to his hometown had seemed to shake him up a bit as well. If this ship had shown up farther down the coast. He took off the shades he had been wearing and rubbed his face. He removed his hat and pushed his hair back before looking up to the ship. Caleb was pissed. His face showed that much.
"Whoever thought it was a brilliant idea to do something like this..." he began.
"...I'm going to make them rue the day they were ******** born."
He put his hat back on again and started towards the ship.

"Man what a pain..." Dark grumbles as he stomps out his finished smoke. He ignored the praise from the woman as he watched the smoke billow in the distance. "My gut says it's another terrorist group." He says audibly and lights up another smoke. "Brick, Diddy back to me." He recalls his Pokemon and makes his way into town. The destruction caused him to grind his teeth. "I'm getting sick of these kinds of assholes." He then looks over the ship as Misery walks up to him. She could sense his anger.
("Wh... What do we do now?")
There's a massive explosion of light and four of Dark's Pokemon are around him, Glock being the only one not sent out.
"Everyone split up and help people escape. Also check the buildings for injured or trapped people. Call for Misery if you find someone, she should be able to heal pretty well with Heal Pulse." He pushes up on his glasses, concealing his glowing orange eyes.
"Now go!" All his Pokemon nod and run off in random directions. Dark heads back to Maddy, ready for action.

Maddy looked towards the ship. A bunch of odd-looking people in black uniforms were coming from the ship.  A few of the same people were returning with Pokémon in cages. "Those Pokémon must be stolen. Are we dealing with common thieves?!" She was reaching to her belt to pluck off a Poké Ball when a large black thing flew overhead and crashed into the side of the cliff. There was a loud, pained roar, accompanied with a lot of dust and the sound of rocks tumbling off the cliff side. "What's going on?" Sydonis appeared next to Maddy. His eyes glowed blue as he made mental contact with her. His trainer frowned. "Team... Plasma? Never heard of them." She turned to her colleagues and was about to start issuing orders when they were approached by a group of Team Plasma grunts. "Hand over your Pokémon and bow to the might of Lord Ghetsis!" They ordered Team Aqua.Maddy raised an eyebrow and gave them a look like 'Really?'. "Do you even know who we are? We're Team Aqua." The grunts exchanged looks and shrugged. "Doesn't matter who you are. Hand over your Pokémon or be annihilated.""Tch... As if." Maddy eyed her comrades from over her shoulder. "Get 'em." [Reserve. Fight two grunts with 2-3 Pokémon each.]Maddy sent out her Fletchinder as her first enemy Grunt sent out a Bulbasaur. "Flame Charge!" Fletchinder's body burst into flame as it tackled the enemy Pokémon, dealing damage and increasing her Speed. Bulbasaur countered with Double-Edge, recklessly tackling Fletchinder back and dealing damage to itself in the effort. "Flame Charge again!" The second Flame Charge finished off Bulbasaur. Out next was a Pikachu. It immediately attacked with Thunderbolt, finishing off Fletchinder. Maddy sent out her Charmeleon next. Pikachu managed to get another Thunderbolt attack in. "Dig!" Charmeleon disappeared into the ground. Pikachu attacked once more with Thunderbolt, but the bolts harmlessly danced off the ground. Suddenly, Charmeleon erupted from the ground beneath Pikachu, hitting the lightning mouse hard. It responded by shocking Charmeleon once more with Thunderbolt. "Flamethrower!" A torrent of flame burst from Charmeleon's maw, bathing Pikachu in fire and causing it to faint. One grunt down. The next one approached Maddy and sent out a Gloom. What an idiot. "Flamethrower!" That made quick work of the Oddish, easily OHKO'ing it. Out next was a Lairon, a more formidable foe. "Brick Break!" Charmeleon's attack was super-effective, but Lairon was a powerfully armored foe. It would take more than that to defeat it. Lairon unleashed an Earthquake attack, finishing off Charmeleon. Maddy sent out her own Lairon. "Earthquake!" The enemy Lairon was finished and the battle was over. Maddy won.

Oh hell naw.
People stealing pokemon? In Kalos? Not if Caleb could help it. He moved forward to stop them when he suddenly heard a pained roar that sent chills up his spine. Then the shadow of whatever the hell just flew overhead.
Then a group of the thieves moved in. So much for investigating the roaring shadow. Then being ordered to hand over his pokemon. Caleb tilted his head back and forth, popping his neck.
"How about no and no...you really should choose wisely who you give orders to..." Caleb said quietly.
Two grunts moved in towards him. Liepard and Watchog were the first to be sent out by them. Caleb sneered before letting out his Fennekin and Charmeleon. "Double Flamethrower..." Caleb ordered. The pokemon and their thief trainers managed to get out of the way of the fiery inferno, but they didn't go unscathed. Both Watchog and Liepard suffered burns, but seemed well enough to battle still. The Patrat lunged at Fennekin before kicking her. The Fennekin growled, her eyes glowing blue. The same blue glow covered Watchog. The rodent lifted into the air and was hurled at the Liepard. Charmeleon reared his head back before sending a wave of blue energy from his mouth at their tangled up opponents.
The thieves recalled their pokemon before sending out two more in their place. A Woobat and Tranquil. Caleb replaced Fennekin with Rotom. He called back his Charmeleon as well. "Discharge...." Caleb muttered. The Rotom was more than happy to oblige, cackling maniacally before a flare of electricity shot from it and hit the two flying types. The thieves fled back to the ship after collecting their pokemon.
