Cassie's eyes narrowed, but she flipped her hand and released the amulet. "I'll be expecting it back." She too had heard the stories and knew that it'd effect Faraday too.

Brisinger chuckled and kissed her gently in her lips. "Nothing, I was just playing with you..." He continued strocking her hair.

As soon as she felt it's touch. The amulet begged for Faraday. It wanted her to protect it and use it for what ever she saw fit. It tempted her with power and strenth. Faraday gritted her teeth and pulled out a regular cloth and covered it. The voice lessened and she was able to breath, "That was annoying...the only way we can find the Quisidor and it's too powerful for us to use."

Leah purred a little and curled up around Brisinger, drifting off to sleep.

Cassie sighed and sat into her hip, holding out her hand for the amulet. "I can handle it fine"
Thornessa watched the amulet. She didn't want anything to do with it, she knew what it could do to respectable people. She folded her hands behind her back and hoped her cousin could handle it as well as she thought she could.
Shay kept an eye on Cassie but she believed her words. If Cassie said she could handle it she could. An errant thought wondered if the two of them together could handle it even better.

Faraday rolled her eyes and pocketed it for two reasons, "I need to speak to Kelab about this." she turned and started to walk away.

Cassie glared and pushed off the ground, doing a neat flip, and landing in front of Faraday. Her hand shot out and merely brushed Faraday's pocket, but the amulet was attuned to her. She called for it and it flowed easily into her body again. It was less painful then the other times. "You can go talk to Kelab all you want now."
Thornessa was about to say something when Cassie went flying. She crossed her arms and then waited patiently for Cassie to be done. Then she stepped forwards, "I'm going to come with you Faraday."
Shay watched her sister take the amulet back and nodded to herself. It was out of line for Faraday to try and take it for herself. She walked over to Cassie and squeezed her hand encouragingly.

Faraday suddenly grabbed Cassie and pulled her in an arm lock, "You can't handle it." she squeezed, "If you could, you would be able to let it go!"

Thornessa massaged her temples and stepped back a few paces to wait for this to be over.
Cassie hissed and dissolved into shadow, reappearing a few feet away from Faraday. "I don't think you understand. I'm the only one here who is capable of keeping it under control, perhaps save my sister. If I don't have it then someone, an irresponsible someone, will have it. I'm not seeing our hard work go to waste like this." She kept on her toes.
Shay surged forwards at Faraday's sudden movement, but she remembered that Cassie could take care of herself. She took a deep breath and reappeared at Cassie's side, ready to protect them both.

Meanwhile, Crade was still holding onto Freeda but was carefully observing behind her on his crystall ball since he sensed some negative energies on the area. He frowned, thinking that he'd probably have some hard time getting his hands on the amulet and then he saw Ketsueki, along with Kelab, coming closer to Cassie and Faraday.
