Uglies in the beginning it says all the kids have to have an operation to become pretty at age 13 to "fit in" with everyone else cause ugly people shouldnt be in their community, its a sci-fi book but it gets better, some people run away cause of the operation and they find out what they do in the operation, but i wont say
edit:its age 16, not 13

it is, but, the fact that my moms singing and now dancing to time warp.... not so much.... but i love that movie! Jim Curry is amazing, and one of the only men i know that can pull those outfits off.
