Three things caught his attention immediately. He looked down at the blood on her hands, his ears burned at the exhausted tone of her voice, and he swore he could see a few strands of hair out of place. The combination of the three suggested that things were... not so good.
"I'm either too late, just in time, or early enough that things haven't gone worse." He gave her a wry smile. "So what do we got?"

Thor had helped, but when a being has convinced themselves of something for several hundred years it is a very difficult task to calm them down when they are forced to think that they had been very wrong.. So Munin drifted close to natural sleep, but still very confused and a little hurt by what she had done.
At the front door Rae shook her head a bit, "Not sure yet..." She slowly opened it to let Evan into her home. "Sam is unconscious, she tried to do something to John.. Tomorrow, and it backfired."

A voice, little more than a whisper, eminated from the collar of Evan's coat again, a sense of uncertainty with it.
"Can I come out of your coat? Or is it best if I stay here?"

Evan shook his head, both at the request to emerge from wherever Ryostov was and the nature of the situation. He couldn't even blame it on the big man this time, as wont as he was to do so. No, this was deeper.
He walked in, heading straight for the two sleepers, hoping to get some answers one of two ways. "Which means he got himself into something that shouldn't have been gotten into. What happened before... this...?"
He saw the two of them, the giant holding onto the young girl's hand. It wasn't about to get any better at that point, since he could see no way of getting him away from her without waking him up. Not like it was a problem as far as finding out what he needed to know, just that he wanted to avoid any awkward when the guy woke up.
He looked toward Hono, pointing toward Tomorrow with his right hand. "What is he doing here?" He finally asked out loud, trying to be as quiet as he could.

Hono's head tipped slowly to the side, if she hadn't been looking right at Evan and the empty street behind him, she could have sworn that there was someone else there... but as far as she could tell without invading Evan's personal space, he was alone.
Raven let Evan into her home almost reluctantly... she knew very well that he did not like John. "John is very ill... dying in fact." Her voice was soft and empty as she said those last three words.
"And he is here because we are getting married, so this is his home as well as mine and my children's." Her eyes held the fire that she had named for herself, and Hono was quite willing to rub that happy fact in Evan's face as often as need be until he... and everyone else... got the point!

Evan looked toward John again, pausing for a few seconds to consider this new development. He wanted to search him for some kind of ring, but then his brain registered they weren't hitched yet. He tried to speak, then closed his mouth as another thought occured to him: Night.
He shook his head again. He didn't matter, not anymore.
Evan turned toward Hono with a smile that... surprisingly, was not forced.
"My congratulations..." The smile turned a bit sad. "...and my condolences."
He turned toward Sam again. "I can help him if he's dying and not dead, don't worry about that. Gonna have to understand how he got in that state first, but that's up to him to explain. As for her..." He took a few steps toward her. "I need that story from you. What did he do that she needed to get him out of, so I can get her out of this? Be as... detailed as possible."
Oh, he figured it was something. Now was the time to find out what.

She shook her head. "No magic.. it is magic that is killing him, his own accelerated healing is causing scar tissue to form all over his synapses... we are working on other options."
She shrugged her shoulders lifting her hands slightly. "I wasn't there, as far as I know they were at a library... he was about to have another attack and she took his memories into herself, without permission, without warning, without preparation..."

Evan grimaced as she explained the his situation for him... And was glad he didn't have this neat little trick. It wasn't about to get any easier from that point, as she added Samantha's situation to the mix. The fact that she wasn't directly there did not ease his mind any.
"Right, so the only way I can understand is a direct intervention." He sighed and closed the distance between himself and Sam. "This won't hurt, necessarily, but it'll be difficult."
He put his hand on Samantha's forehead and cleared his mind, his expression a mask of serenity. "Do not disturb me."
Perhaps the mask... was not a mask after all.
The warning to disturb him was not so far fetched. If his concentration slipped, he would more than likely lose his anchor on reality and get stuck in whatever nightmare he was going to...

Hono's glared at Hugin... she liked Evan better, Munin's counterpart always managed to irk her for no real reason at all. sweatdrop Perhaps it was just her own annoyance from her time with Munin trying to dictate her every action, or perhaps it was just that she didn't take orders all that well.. after all, she still argued with Nocturne when ever the opportunity arose! xp
In Samantha's mind Munin was not to far below the surface now, but she was still too confused to shake off Hono's sleep spell.
- Snow falling, a temple in a hill, Maximos armed with his scythe, a beautiful woman wrapped in woflskin, the head of a snake, a great tree within an ancient stone room, a hammer resting against a door, explosions filling the sky, a one eyed man snorting blood and fire -
- The dead rose, fire blanketed the ground, mighty wind slashed, he saw the world beneath him, his family dead before him, the moon rising high, she smiles in shock and awe with tears in her eyes, people laugh and cry, raging storms blanket the seas, light billows forth, he is alone, he is leading the charge, his brother lies dead before him -
- And through it all the One Eyed man laughed... he laughed, and laughed, and laughed at the raven with the broken wing -

When he arrived, his appearance regressed back to what it truly was. The trench coat, replaced by a black cloak with feathers adorned on the shoulders. Silver armor atop a black leather uniform lay underneath, with runes on certain key pieces. Eyes, a crimson red.
The scenario before him was... confusing. Even for him.
Scenes he knew, others that made no sense to him. The one figure he saw through it all, he knew better than anyone else. The single broken wing was not a thing to laugh at, especially when one could fix said wing quite easily.
Yet these were just memories, scenes that played out in the theatre of the mind. Many, perhaps too many, but Huginn's mind was made of tougher stuff, the iron trappings of logic. He was thought, not memory.
That said, the ravens were made of the same stuff, so to speak. And if this one would not fix his bird, he would have to fix her himself.
He looked down at the bird with the broken wing... and touched his right hand to said wing. "You will have to explain this to me before I repair what is broken here, dear sister. Now, move."
His very touch made the injury burst forth with light and warmth, and within five seconds... the injury was no more.

Good old Izzy, to know she was always like this brought a certain warmth to Rell's heart. Perhaps in time she'd come to understand that the necromancer wasn't lying. But for now, Rell would merely let her go along with what made her Aunt happy.
However, the blue haired women stopped in her tracks, her eyes growing wide at the vast selection of clothes to choose from. Looking down at herself, she blinked a few times before fixing her glasses. She didn't know where to begin. Not to mention, that it was scaring the wits out of her.
"..Izzy? I don't know what size I am. Or.. I. I don't know what he likes really.."
Her cheeks flushed as her mind drifted back to Izzy's comment, about how he'd never want to take his hands off of her. She.. She liked this idea. She wanted that to happen, even if she didn't know what to do if and when he did so.
"I'd like for him to notice me.."

The wing healed and for a moment the bird remained an animal before she changed to her other form... This form bore very little resemblance to the girl child Samantha, in fact the only thing they had in common was white hair, hair as white as pristine snow almost glowing it was so perfectly white... and violet eyes.
She was tall in this form, tall and proud like the greatest of the long forgotten Valkyries, dressed all in white.. no it wasn't real white, it was more a gray so very light that you almost couldn't tell the difference except that next to that white, white hair, it was obviously darker... a mix of colors that was bleached out to the point where you almost couldn't tell they were there.
Her own feathers drifted around her like ghosts, a scattering of down on the wind... more a sense of the soft caress of feathers.. the memory of wings, than something as real as the thought of a feathered cloak like Hugin's. "Do you see him? Do you see that pompous, overstuffed, son of a gutless fish! He can not be there.. he can not be here... he is dead and I will not let him break me again!!!" There was rage in her voice as she pointed to the image of the one eyed man that still drifted around the pair, and the emotion was so very not like her...

Huginn nodded. "I see."
He waited until it was right in front of him before touching a single finger on it... and stopping it, laughter and all, as if it were just another video. Then with that same finger, he would move it down toward their feet, away from view. At least for the time being.
He looked toward her with something resembling a smile, though his eyes held a bit of reproach. "I already know what you tried to do. Noble as it was, the method in which you tried to do it is why these memories are scattered; out of order."
He peered toward the myriad floating images. "They must be put back into some kind of reasonable pattern if I am to repair the damage taking them in has done to you and the girl. As they are now... They will be a distraction."
Huginn turned toward her again, the ghost of a smile all but gone. "You will need to help me. And to help me, you must first tell me what happened for you to do something so reckless." His usually even tone held a bit of irritation on the last word.
And relief as well.
The fact that he even made it here meant she trusted him, still knew him. It meant that he was just in time before she rejected any attempt of intrusion... and at that point it would have been too late.
"You will calm yourself, and start from the earliest point you can recall... no matter how far back that is." His voice returned to its netural state as he placed his left hand on her right shoulder. The action would have been more symbolic than anything else in the physical plane, but in here it held more weight. To calm her down when she was in this state, he had to balance out her energy with his.

In the outside place, when the other voice became physical, the Soul decided to jump... coat? Rematerializing in the room out of Evan's back... Or was it Hugin, now? A murky green... outline, shapeless for a moment, before forming into the body of an over-grown... pup! Yes, indeed, a dog. One might say wolf, but it just had that feel of mutt.
Again, little more than a whisper...
"Don't like that one, much. It's disrespectful, to crowd a body with another soul... Slows the growth." The pup didn't look at Hono, eyes locked on Hugin's back. "Slows the purpose. One could argue the pros and cons until we got dim-eyed and bushy-bearded, of course."
The pup would opt to curl up on the floor, resting it's chin on it's paws, facing the one it had came with, worry forming the lines of the creature's body.

Orange eyes glared down at the spirit pup before the small woman with her long red and black striped hair knelt to look at the animal that had never been an animal. "I don't know you... and I don't remember inviting you into my home, so behave yourself around my fiance and daughter... or we will find out if a shadowy spirit falls into the realm of the god of shadows..."
Her warning given, Hono'o sat on the floor and sighed waiting to see if John or Samantha would ever wake again.
Munin shook her head and glared at Hugin, going so far as to shake a ginger at him. "You are not paying attention! He is here, here where he can not be!!!"
With a flick of her fingers she drew the memory of snow falling, a temple in a hill, Maximos armed with his scythe, a beautiful woman wrapped in woflskin, the head of a snake, a great tree within an ancient stone room, a hammer resting against a door, explosions filling the sky, a one eyed man snorting blood and fire... back up again, and then split the memory in two, freezing the two images in place.
The first was Maximos with his scythe in hand... "The reaper, as we know him today..." The second image was a one eyed man snorting blood and fire... "And this is at the same time!!!"
The ghostly feathers were whirling faster around her now in a wind of agitated power alone. "The reaper can not take him... the reaper is not the great wolf, the reaper has no ability to travel through time... so... how... can... the... Reaper... be... close... enough... to... touch... Odin?!!!"
