I'm no longer afraid of Ertai. =P I can already see through his attempts at confusing you with extremely long posts, and that's about the extent of his Writing Ability. So, break it down from there, and you have the character's powers... And, after showing Omi all the things I have lined up to protect myself from him?

Kellindel Binatica All the s**t he does isn't all that extraordinary, except that he doesn't break it up over two to four posts like most other high-tier characters do. I don't believe I've ever actually seen him charging something, although it's not like I stalk him so he might've done it once or twice and I missed it or something. People like him are high-tier? Nawh. He's Mid-Tier. High-Tier don't just Role-Play to win, as he does. I could make a rant about this, but I'm refraining.

Nihilistic_Impact Planar mages, by their very nature of disrupting the fabric of existance they are considered very powerful. This does not mean that all of them are considered equal and even despite their powers they can be defeated by normal means. Old saying goes, if it bleeds, it can die. Thats the problem. No matter how much people raise themselves up, fighting is about compromises. If someone can't accept that someone else can hit them, they wont let them. Now if the other person is trying to be realistic about the fight they'll probably take a few hits. No amount of management can make someone accept a hit and refusing to participate in such an aspect of a fight removes from the experience.

Kellindel People like him are high-tier? It's the powers that determine your character's tier. Like in fighting games.

And that is why you have people that act as judges. And if there aren't any judges then you have fights, entire flame wars. I know this, I've gone through it with just my lower powered characters before.

XShilonX Nawh. He's Mid-Tier. High-Tier don't just Role-Play to win, as he does. I could make a rant about this, but I'm refraining. I'd rate him lowest. His opinion about himself is so high that he wont let anyone hit him, meaning fighting him is pretty much a waste of time. Then he resorts to s**t like bending reality instantaneously because he can't think of any other way to escape from an attack. Major deduction from creativity.

Crawleymang~ It's the powers that determine your character's tier. Like in fighting games. But, Steve Fox doesn't have any powers, and he's top-tier in Tekken 5.
Unless hitting really hard counts as a power.

They should be anonymous otherwise personal preference, peer pressure, and objectivity all become issues.

Anonymous judges are just as likely to be bribed or subverted as known judges are to be biased. However if the judge is someone proven as trustworthy, you can count on them for a reasonable opinion, where as some guy you just picked up off the Chatterbox might be useless as s**t.
