It is. And I still try I'm working on a painting of hubby's grandmother who just passed for his Grandfather. It's even harder when you know they hated you. stressed

Yeah. That would be a problem.

Greg's mother doesn't hate me, but she wishes I were more like a 1950's housewife. She also wishes I had a job...and was a 1950's housewife at the same time.

I'm not and I quote " A good Christian woman!" So I was never good enough for her. I think she called me a devil woman a few times. So yeah...

I try and be nice when they cry about her. );

Inlaws can be good. I know they can.

Mine just suck. My parents suck as inlaws too. XD

I'm lucky I have amazing inlaws, I think my parents are the sucky inlaws!

Anyways, it has been forever since I have been here but I'm back. Dirge requested that I come share about my current living situation. My family is currently halfway through a 6 month stay in China. My husbands work sent us. We are living in a huge city (like 6 million ppl or something) called Suzhou. It's about an hour and a half west of Shanghai. It's a pretty popular tourist city though I had never heard of it until coming here. We pretty much spend all our weekends cramming in as much siteseeing as we can. We did spend one weekend in Shanghai. That city is pretty amazing! We are currently planning a week long trip to Beijing in mid-May to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City at least.

The boys love it here. We live in a compound of expat families from all over the world. There are tons of kids and a decent playground we go to every afternoon (as long as it doesn't rain). For me it took about a month to get adjusted to how different everything is here but I have gotten to like it here too.

Okay kids are fighting so I gotta wrap this up! It's good to be back and I'm gonna try to be more active again! Hope everyone and their kiddos are doing well.

That's exciting, Syll! My brother has been in China since last summer. He is teaching English in Haikou, Hainan.

My family has been dealing with the aftermath of the Good Friday tornadoes. The house across the street and the one next door were both pretty much destroyed. Our house looks like it was spared, but we are having structural issues.

Here are my pictures from the day of/day after the tornado: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kmaritza/sets/72157616769432884/

At least I got Greg to admit that having my parents or his parents living with us would drive us apart.

It would easily. Living just 30 mins from my husbands is driving me and him a bit nutty. I am so ready to move.

XD Greg and I are happy with the distance between his family and us. It's my family that's too close. We only see his family on holidays and for birthdays unless it's his brother.

I'd honestly like to move out of state or even out of the US. But it wont be happening anytime soon. Sadly.

I'd at least like to move out of this town.

I'm told the schools in Southern Wisconsin are better.
