*Dani went back to Chris's room and crawled back into Wally's bed. Chris sighed and wandered over towards Blackhawk's.*
I wonder Zinda will let me drink.

Achilles lurched over at the waist, his back to the two who had approached him, and his hands on the pile of rock that had once been a entombed beast. The movement of his back showed his drawing sharp, quick breaths until he slowly stood back upright, and turned around to face them.
He knew the teacher to be Wally's relation, although he did not take the class. The subject seemed beyond him. The female he did not know, until Mister Allen had introduced her.
Achilles's face was paled, unlike his normally olive toned complexion, and his eyes bloodshot. He looked from Barry to Mary West and the words registered to him.
"Mary W-West." He looked to Barry and spoke, "Sister-in-law." The pain in his eyes was absolute as he turned to Mary. "You were...Wally's mother?"

::Mary smiled and held out her hand.::
"Yes, I am. I'm here to pick up Wally's things and bring them home."
::Barry looked exhausted. He rubbed the bridge of his nose.::
"Achilles, I know you're upset - we all are. But destroying school property isn't going to solve anything."
::Mary nodded.::
"It's nice to meet you, Achilles. Wally's told me all about you and your incredible elephant. He is very lucky to have such incredible friends."

Achilles sniffed back and nodded at Mary, then turned to Barry and admitted,
"Forgive me Professor, but I have little else in the ways of releasing anger and pain. I do not dance and I am unable to write poetry so ... I break things apparently."
He turned back to Mary and slowly lowered himself to one knee.
"My lady, I only ask that when you retrieve his belongings, you remember to take a gift I had given him. A helmet...my own helmet. He was there for me when I needed a friend..." His voice broke and he shook his head. "...And I was not there for him when he needed it!"
He closed his eyes tightly and his body silently convulsed.

::Mary, being a modern Midwestern woman, wasn't really sure how to respond to the gallantry, so she patted him on the head and smiled.::
"Of course I'll remember your...helmet. Would you like to help us pack up?"
::She looked at Barry, who nodded.::
"Yes, perhaps that is a good idea."
"I'm so sorry that this didn't work out, and that Wally had to leave."
::Barry looked at her again.::
"I mean, that he passed away..."

*Chris found Blackhawk's closed. Now what? Students were beginning to point and look angrily at him. He better get back to his dorm room. He'd be quiet and leave Dani alone.
Chris made his way across campus under the angry glares of his fellow students and went back into his dorm room. Dani was snoring softly in Wally's bed. Chris flopped into his desk chair and stared at the ceiling.*

::Mrs. West, Mister Allen and Achilles arrived at the dorm and knocked on the door. Mary West sighed.::
"Barry, is what Iris said really true? About the woman that stabbed Wally?"
::Barry grimaced.::
"I'm afraid so, Mary. We're still trying to iron out the situation. We haven't been able to locate her for questioning."
"But her son..."

Achilles nodded and he rose to a standing position and wiped his eyes with the back of his hand.
"Forgive me, but I am unaccustomed to displays of emotion. Your son was...unique, in his effect on people. If you would allow me to help you...pack his things, it would be my honor."
He begun to follow them to the boy's dorm, adding,
"If you would like, perhaps in remembrance, you could ride Mysia as your son once did?"

*Chris blinked. Someone was at the door. Maybe it was Cassie. He hurried over and opened up.*
Mr. Allen? Achilles?
*And some lady he didn't know.*

"Mary!"
::She turned away, a hand to her eyes.::
"I-I'm sorry, I just...I'm very, very sorry. I just lost control there for a moment. This boy's mother stabbed my son!"

Achilles flinched at the slap across Chris's face by the woman, but hat stung him far more were her own words. He turned to Chris, wide-eyed.
"Your mother...?" He whispered. "YOUR mother murdered Wally West!?"

*Chris raised his hand to his cheek.*

*Chris began to tremble.*

*Chris's armor came up and he disappeared from sight. The invisible boy pushed past Mr. Allen and ran up up the hallway. How had his life become such a nightmare?
Meanwhile...Dani awoke to the slap and sat up in Wally's bed.*
What's going on?

::Mary shook a bit, trying to regain control.::
"I'm sorry. Wally's never said anything bad about his roommate. It's just when I saw him, I....mother's instinct, I think."
::Barry explained the situation to Dani, who bit her lower lip. She offered to try to find Chris.::
"Thank you, Dani."
: biggrin ani walked out and Mary took a deep breath.::
"Barry, maybe you were right. Maybe I just should have had all these things sent home. But Wally is..."
::She looked at Achilles.::
"I mean, Wally was...very happy here and I wanted to meet the people that have had such an impact on his life, now that it's...over."

"Your son was one of a kind. Special. I never met someone in my time or this who wielded such...enthusiasm."
He closed his eyes and smiled in remembrance.
"Had you only seen him when he first laid eyes on Mysia...or his excitement when he walked her downtown..."
