"Kay." He looked back down at Devi. "Mommy can't feed you right now sweety. You need the bottle." He decided to give reasoning a try.

she started to cry again and curled up agents him
he brought Niles back up stairs as he finished his bottle "come on buddy"

He grabbed the collar of his shirt and started to cry himself. He didn't want to go back to bed.
"I know sweety. I know." he spoke softly

he sat in the rocking chair and started to rock Niles
she curled up some more as her stomach growled. She cried harder

He offered her the bottle at the sound of her stomach. "Come on Devi." He said softly.
He continued to cry.

He was tiring but still held his gip on the collar of Roys shirt. His crying was getting quieter.

He started to fall asleep mid cry and then wake up and continue crying again. He was determined not to fall asleep.

He curled up and just sniffled for now.
He sighed and put the bottle on the table. he sat her up on his lap. "This is the best I can do sweety."

He just sat there with Devi.
"Looks like we have a stand off." He said as he adjusted Euclid on his hip.

she looked at them and fidgeted a little. Reaching for Nate "EHHH"
