hullo, I'm Urania, a weird white witch born with what the medical community calls an "androgen insensitivity"

I was assigned male at birth but socially transitioned to female at the beginning of high school

growing up I was always extremely androgynous, in the sense that I dressed as a boy but was consistently taken to be a girl

in terms of personal identity, I've always identified more with women than men and I feel resolute in my self-identification as a woman. when I was younger I went through periods of either feeling like a girl trapped into a male role or a genderless higher spirit stuck in a mortal body

when my body began to develop feminine instead of masculine features, I was taken to an endocrinologist who diagnosed me as intersex

being intersex is difficult in that it is very lonely. I've never met another intersex person and so it's hard for me to find people to relate to. on the bright side I find I can definitely relate and empathize with queer people, especially people who grew up not fitting into proper gender roles. so that's why I'm here, hopefully I'll meet some cool new people and maybe even meet someone else with an intersex disorder, we'll see I guess!

outside of being intersex, I live a fairly normal life, now that I dress more appropriately I'm accepted as just another girl, I have a boyfriend I'm madly in love with. I'm big into Art in all its forms, I consider it to be the closest thing to magic we have in this world. I love psychedelic and/or foreign films, I love art and media that pushes boundaries. I love the genres of fantasy and science fiction. I love learning, I can listen to anyone talk about anything as long as they're passionate about it.
