~Felix"I'm fine~ I should be asking you the same question though." Felix had a slightly worried look on his face over Adie's condition. She looked pretty exhausted... "Meh, it seems like he's better off when I'm not around to tell him what to do." Felix sighed, changing the subject once Adelle mentioned MK, the free spirit of a Sneasel he was. As soon as he was done talking though, the boy was met with a claw to the side of his ribs courtesy of said Sneasel as the dark type caught up with the group and latched itself onto it's trainer, not really caring how much pain it was actually causing in the process.

Sammy had completely ignored the racing at this point, dragging herself up to Adie and Felix and running alongside them. She huffed a bit, a sigh escaping her lips. "How do you guys do this stuff?... I must be getting too old," she laughed, her pink tail bouncing merrily up and down before slumping to the ground.

Adam's brows lowered over his eyes, Steam-near erupting from his ears. "Come-on Megiddo... She's got Poffins!!" He called to his pokemon, who instantantly perked up, dashing off towards the other Arcanine. "Come-on..." Adam muttered under his breath, catching up with Adie and the others. He looked down to Sammy, extending a hand for her to get on.
If Adie got a co-pilot so did he.

Sammy grinned up at Adam, jumping up with him. "Thankies, hubby~" she coughed, barely able to catch her breath from running with the Tuaros. She did her best to assist with the Tuaros infront of them, sending small sparks at their feet to get them to move out of their way.

Adelle waved him off as he started to express concern for her, finding it both touching and annoying. She might have been tired, but it was a good tired; the kind that came from accomplishing something. Plus, he should try piggybacking a Rhydon and balancing on that thing when it ran - that was a lot more work that most people might realize. Her thoughts were interrupted, however, when Sneasel latched onto Felix, a pained expression coming to her friend's face as the claws dug into his side. Reaching around him, Adie liften the pokemon as best she could, trying to separate pokemon from trainer to get the claws out.
"Sneasel! Let go and sit back here with me! No need to hold on by his ribs," she called out, glancing back to see Adam and his Arcanine starting to gain on them once more. Sammy pulled up alongside them as well, Houndour barking at her as she started to lag behind. It seemed her legs were just too short and the course was too long for her to keep up anymore.
Trying to get Sneasel to release his trainer, she used a free hand to recall Houndour, knowing that the pokemon deserved a good rest regardless. Adam extended a hand to Sammy, Adie whistling to her pokemon once more. They were so close, she could almost taste the finish line, and there no way she would let Tauros stop her from winning. Reaching forwards, she placed one hand on Felix' back, pushing him forwards slightly before bringing her own torso down as well, the pair practically laying forwards on the pokemon's back.
"Just a little father!"

~Felix ~MKAs the finish line came into view Felix quickly returned MK to his respective Pokeball, any extra weight wouldn't help their 'team' now. As soon as the Sneasel was returned though, Felix was pressed down against the velvety smooth canine Pokemon, once again stuck in a very awkward position, but if it was for the sake of winning, he was up for it. Maybe for once his lankiness would come in handy? Only time would tell, and there wasn't much time left until either one group of racers or the other cross the line...

Adam nudged His Arcanine, "Come on Mej, you got this!" He encouraged, though his Pokemon still stayed even with Adie's, neck-and-neck, nose-and-nose. He mimicked Adie's technique leaning forward as he urged his pokemon on, Tauros hot on their tails.

Leon walks out intot he main room, seeing the TRP on the wall "....hello? Anyone here?" He shouts. He curses softly and looks over to the teleporter. He tilts his head at it, puzzled on what it does. "What does this do?" He presses a button and lands face first next to Sammy. "..........ow" he mumbles.

Sammy yanked Leon up, holding him with her own strength as to not hinder the pokemon's movements. Small sparks of electricity came from her ears as the blood rushed through them, causing them to heighten her senses just a bit as she waited for the results of the race.

Megiddo stumbled for a fraction of a second as Leon appeared, before righting itself and regaining speed. Adie wasn't gonna win that easily.

A flash of light signaled that they crossed the finish line, both Arcanine's rushing through a gate as it snapped shut behind them, to avoid letting the remaining Taruos out into the rest of the city. Several Machamps were bracing the gate, the force of Tauros hitting the gate causing the betal bars to clang loudly. The fact that they didn't break through was a testament to the strength of the fighting pokemon the City had brought in. Adie dismounted Arcanine, the fire pokemon's tongue rolling out of the side of his mouth as he panted. She looked over to a group of city officials, who were gathered around a camera, trying to decide who won the race that was so neck and neck.
"That was....AWESOME," Adie breathed out, throwing her arms around Arcanine's neck as the pokemon flopped down into a laying position. He rolled over enough so Adie could rub his belly, something he definitely deserved. Before too long, Rhydon made an appearance, holding Tommy's unconscious body and looking none too happy to have gotten that errand. She would make it up to him...somehow. Her attention turned to an older man with a moustache, who stepped forwards, tapping a microphone to get everyone's attention.
"Thank you, those that participated in Olivine City's 56th annual Running of the Tauros! This was one of those closest races we've ever had at this even, but after carefully looking at this photo finish, we much award First Place to..."
The tension was high in the crowd, as the man paused for dramatic effect before thrusting his finger towards Adam, Sammy and Leon.
"You three! Congratualtions!" Confetti erupted from the air, the gathered crowd cheering enthusiastically while Adie turned, giving the three of them a smile. Arcanine looked disappointed, lowering his head to the ground, though Adie practically threw herself on him to cheer him up. The old man waved the winners up onto the makeshift stage, to award them with their prize. Nuzzling her pokemon with a smile, it seemed to cheer Arcanine up, just a little as he rolled over so she fell with a thud on her butt, pokemon's stomach up towards the sun. She kept cheering for her team mates, glad that either way an Aqua member was walking away with a prize.
"Ahh, well there's always next year," she said with a smile towards Felix, getting to get feet and dusting her butt off from her slip.
"Not to mention, winners get to take us all out to dinner! " She called this last part over the cheers of the crowd, giving her friends a bright smile as they accepted their reward. After all, at least she got a new pokemon out of the deal.
(( Will think of it later when I'm not hacking up a lung. Or someone else can decide that is actually accepting it ))

Sammy scratched her forehead, not going onto the stage to accept the reward. She hadn't really done anything, so she didn't see it fit that she got an award. Instead, she stayed in the back and watched and clapped... And heard the dinner part, grinning a bit.

~Felix Felix, not really that exhilarated over the thought of winning in the first place, let out only a minor sigh in defeat before he dismounted Arcanine, just before it flipped over itself. Poor thing must have been tired, what a shame it wasn't worth it in the end either... "No complaints from me, it was still fun anyway. Just kinda' glad I'm alive at this point." Felix added on to Adie's statement of defeat after the old man escorted away the winners. Although he didn't do much, Felix still took a seat on the ground out of exhaustion.
