I got one. 'Cept it was the wrong one. My stepmom thought I wanted the lime green one so I got a green Nano. Dad said something about "You really wanted the green one that much? I was gonna get you the black one with 30 gigs but Margie (my stepmom) said something about a green one, so I got this." I was like, "Why didn't you get the big one? I said they had green ones, but I don't want one because they only come in Minis and Nanos which have like zero storage next to the normal iPods."
So he's going to exchange it for me. :3
I also got my own cam (YAY! MORE IDES PICS SOON, PLOX.) and a sewing machine. It was a pretty good haul. :3

DD:
I got your card on Friday. <3.14
My best gift: three-piece tea set. Royal Albert's Old Country Roses. (Yes, I'm a girl. I did receive an ipod, though i'm giving my old one to mi madre, and I fawn over china.) Totally unexpected.
I got a sewing machine last year. ;DDD Though being at college makes it a bit of a pain in the a**, can't use it.
Other than that, a new cellphone (we all needed new ones desperately) and...oh, I got to go shopping today. xDD Shoes. Oh, damn. Four new pairs. My feet are whored out.

I learned something today. Get this:
Police departments are run by the city, county, suburb or whatever they reside in, including St. Louis County... but the St. Louis Metropolitan PD is the only police department in the country (to my knowledge) that is run by the state.
This goes all the way back to the civil war where missouri was pretty much half in favor of the confederacy and half in favor of the union (the union supporters mainly being the ones in urban areas). Therefore, when the state officially declared itself part of the confederacy they took local control of the Police away from St. Louis, presumably to prevent any potential rebellion (because hey, the police have guns).
Over 100 years later there still has not been enough voter support to get it changed.
Crazy.

I like unique bowls and teapots and such. I have a red porcelain teapot and a lime green rice bowl. And some other stuff. Not so much a collector of china, but a happy receiver of oddments. :3

Thats very interesting, Youki. surprised Not enough voter support? You would think that the voters in St. Louis would want the control back into local hands. Then again, maybe the state is doing a decent enough job to where they simply don't care. If it ain't broke, don't fix it kind of thing.

Well, it always gets really close... but there's always a couple people out in the boonies somewhere that keep it down.

I'm a geek, I looked it up:
"You would be breaking the law! It's against an international agreement called the Antarctic Treaty, which was created over 50 years ago between 12 nations. This treaty protects all wildlife in Antarctica, stating, '...all human activities must be planned and conducted so as to minimize environmental impacts'. That means that you can't pet or hug a penguin or any other Antarctic animal"
