Heard about the alien ray gun, haven't found it yet. Trying to play through the game without looking at any guides or getting any real help from friends.

My buddy has it, and showed me it. It's a pretty strange but powerful weapon. As far as finding it goes, I know the general quadrant of the map but that's about it. That and the tip that when you go to get it, the crash site rads will try to deter you, but it's worth it.
Personally I don't give a s**t about loot, I always book it whenever I start seeing my rads go up. xd

I stumbled across the alien ray gun by accident exploring because I'll get home from work, get high and play either Call of Duty or endlessly explore in Fallout. Needless to say I only use that particular gun when I have to because of the limited ammo. And I'm the same way about using guides, I think they're a waste of money really. I only use them after I beat a game and it's only to find stuff I missed. Needless to say, this is the largest game I've even played in terms of scope.

Yeah, I never use Guides. Using them on the first playthrough of a game is something my friends do... which seems ridiculous to me.
I actually haven't been to the Death Claw lair yet. I've only encountered a single Deathclaw, and it was pretty easy to kill.

Although...a full lair of them might be kinda scary. I'll be the first to admit while I was running around in those damn fire ant tunnels I was freaked. THAT many fire breathing little bastards charging is enough to rattle anyone's nerves in pitch black with only a 10MM to ward them off.

Since I haven't done anything, I can only say that he must've been banned for no good reason. I was on last night and when I tried this morning it gives me "Critical error, your account has been blocked."
But when I said I did nothing I mean it. Outside of this guild, the only thing I've done with Than is get a couple of the recent items and inform some chatterbox idiots that the Twilight books suck. Nothing I can be legitimately banned for, anyway. So I'm just going to cause some more hell for the mods over my break.

The 10MM doesn't even BEGIN to help you. Hell I had better luck with my damn baseball bat charging in with the fire-ant nectar. I really wish I had done some other quest, found some new weapons, or something before I tried to tackle that one...I was not happy emptying so many 10MM rounds and stimpaks down in those friggen caves.

So yes, seems someone might have been playing around on my Than and Gabe accounts to some extent; I didn't notice since nothing seems different on the avatars.
Until the Than avatar is unblocked you guys can essentially consider Nana the captain here.
