I know what Wheel of Time is, but never got around to reading them...
Yeah... I'm also rather busy this weekend, so I'm not going to get much rest, save for on the car rides to and from Tucson...

Character name: Cort Legaia
Race: Laguz (half animal half human)
Laguz race: Shadow phoenix.
Specials: He turned into the only living Shadow phoenix because of his contract with Yami 316 years ago. Since then he's been alive, he's been afraid of bonding with anyone. Scared that Yami would come and break his contract with him. Because in exchange for the immense power he gained of becoming the Shadow phoenix, he lost his heart. He couldn't ever love anyone. If that would happen, Yami would come and break his contract. Taking over his body and taking this whole world with him back through the Ginunguaggap. The portal to the underworld.
Looks: Black wings, black eyes and black clothing. Though he can turn into his lighter form called "Angelus" turning him into bright white light all around. Looking at that instantly calms every living being. Subduing all rage and anger to make place for happiness and peace.

I know I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, so that's what's keeping me away. All my writing juices are kept busy doing that. Mostly.
Also, for those who are in the schools, especially college (which is quite a few people), this is the start of their crunch time. They've been in and out of midterms since, oh, mid to late September, all through October, in shifts, and now it the time for final projects leading up to them going home for Christmas. There will probably be a new surge of activity starting in the New Year, and then everyone is back to school again. XD
