Jason Kharo
Two Imperial Psyker battle squads, Witch Hunter Inquisitor with retinue, Leman Russ Punisher, Vanquisher, Vanilla, 20 Guardsmen, 10 Veterans with lascannon, and a Callidus assassin.

Brought down a elite orientated Space Marine strike force. I thought it was going to be easy, turned out the Psykers took my leadership down to two on Sicarius, then his Sternguard squad was ripped apart the Callidus's LD flamer.
His Psykers took down the LD of my termies, who ran and were taken apart by the assassin who assaulted them as they fell back.
Totally annihilated.

is that even a legal army? XD

i am currently building my chaos guardsmen up. im going with a platoon for each chaos god, plus a Dark Mechanicum Platoon, and undivided army command squad. should be about 5 platoons in total when im done, plus tanks, etc.

yes, its legal with inquisitor lord as hq, and callidus plus psykers filling up elites... the ld reducing of psykers is absolutely mauling in conjuction with callidus neural shredder - ever seen insta-killed carnifex? twisted

i completely missed the units of guardsmen, i thought you had taken an almost pure-elite/HQ army...

you had to have missed something otherwise its illegal as hell

if the guardsmen being taken were Inducted Guardsmen the only available option to be taken are

Imperial Guard Infantry Platoon
Armored Fist Squad
Sentinel squadron
rough rider squad
and Leman Russ tank vanilla no variants

now if the Guard had the HQ and other compulsory choices then it would be legal but without a Guard HQ then the list is is completely and totally illegal

I'm a bit foggy on how Guard can ally itself with the Inquisition these days, but if the list was taken as a Guard list with Inquisition allies then it must have a minimum of 1 HQ and 2 Troops from the IG list before it can have anything else. So if that Inquisitor lord was your only HQ you've been cheating, perhaps unwillingly, but you've fielded an illegal army.

Guard can has Inquisition Allies as stated in Daemon Hunters or Witch Hunters Codex's the rule in there are still valid for most units.

Hmm, pairing a psyker squad with a Callidus is outright lethal indeed. I can see why alliances between the Inquisition and the Imperial Guard will be a matter of the past with the new codex and instead be banished to the realms Apocalypse.

Sorry to interupt. But Gunnery Sergeant KICK YOUR a** wanted to strike a pose.

The coat could have turned out better, and the pictures too, but the damned camera kept focusing on his big a** gun instead of him, so these were the best two I could get before my battery icon started throwing a wobbler.

I don't have any sort of story as to why he's fighting for the Valhallans, but I liked the model, and wanted to use it.

I edited the main body some before finishing the gun off - such as the face scar thing (so that his funny eye looks like it was caused by the scar), and a couple of touch up areas. But this gives a better idea of the coat.

I can see how using things like the Psykers with any cult of assassin would be deadly. Back in the day, I wrote a list specifically to use the Culexus as a slaughterhouse. Maxed out on Last Chancers, each and every one of them upgraded to be a psyker. In one turn, the Culexus was able to clean through a relatively large mob of Ork Boyz simply thanks to the pile of psykers standing around him. Best that I can imagine for it working (fluff wise) was that the Culexus was given their detonator command with a proximity setting on it so the former convicts had no choice but to keep up with them.

Marcus, I thoroughly approve of Gunnery Sarge KYA. Well done on the coat.
