NiGh7CrAwL3R I gotta agree with Mill. It's a cool idea, but it does sorta kill the Halo canon story.

I'm still working on my internetworked posts, guys. I'll start posting again soon, also I have a bit of writers block. So basically, I've been playing my 360 trying to get over it. xD I'll post soon though, prepare your eyes and minds for the greatest literacy-related orgasm of your lives. xD

I guess you don't know the story THAT well ZNK. That's essentially the story with the Covenant. The San 'Shyuum (The prophets) thought that they were meant to reclaim the relics left behind by the Forerunner. Essentially it would be replaying the same conflict over and over.
No, the Flood, though dormant for the most part, is still a threat. While Delta Halo was completely vaporized by the combined forces of every Sangheili warship, there are still five other Halo rings, not to mention the other Forerunner installations scattered throughout the galaxy. If the gas mine on Threshold was any indication, there are probably flood spores in many places that haven't been discovered yet.
And the Flood has a molecular memory, so the Gravemind is a single being. There cannot be two of them, there is only the one Gravemind. In other words, everything that any previous gravemind knew, the current one knows.
Which could lead to complications if the Flood is indeed extra-galactic in origin. Of course, we're not going to start a full-scale war against the Flood just yet. The Sangheili and the humans aren't in a very sturdy alliance.
Their alliance was more a matter of necessity than willingness. The Arbiter and those with him were able to swallow their pride and ally themselves with humanity, but not every Sangheili feels that way, which leaves a potential path open there.
There is also the matter of reclaiming lost ground and making sense of the Forerunner's grand plan for humanity.
Everything I've written about WILL be incorporated into the story at some point in the future. I'm not going to give any definite dates, as this is a forum-based site and the guild is dependant upon your activity. We thought that bringing the role play back to the Covenant war and giving everyone a fresh start would increase the activity, apparently we were wrong. So we'll be finishing the first Harvest thread soon and start with the next story arch in our time period (2560s for those not paying attention to the dates).
Also, Mike and I are working on implementing more of the Forum medals, expect to start getting awards for accomplishments both current and prior. I hope to have everything up-to-date by no later than the end of July. I realise that might seem like a ways off, but I want to leave adequate wiggle room in the event that something goes wrong. For example, both William the Conqueror and Mike are having computer troubles, which means that we'll be lacking input from them for the forseeable future.
Any questions you have can just be sent to me via PM. And ZNK, Ominous has been around here a lot longer than you have, he deserves a little respect.

@Hegemon: I respect him! I was just being random... boredom gets me in weird moods...
And actually, isn't the Halo universe in a loop?
Well, I remember this AWESOME theory thread on Bungie.net. Saying how Master Chief was actually thrown into the past because he went faster than light in that second half of the ship. He then joins up with the forerunners and that is why is called the Reclaimer.
And didn't Spark call him Forerunner? Yeah, I think was mentioned in the thread too.
But the way this guy explained it made it make so much sense I think even the writers liked it.

Breen, you don't need to pass the test to post in the Harvest thread. Just make a character's name, you'll start as a Private, and you can post. Easy as pie right?
