Alec looked from his lapfull of lunch tray to the awaiting lineup of food and cutlery as Victor requested some help. It probably looked as if he hadn't the room for another tray on his lap but the boy knew he would've been able to help if he'd been asked. He assumed it was the fact that he was in a wheelchair that made people think him incapable and that was ok. He was getting quite used to it, in some bitter, sad way.
Finished gathering his meal, the sharkboy moved away from the foodline so that he no longer appeared like the predator guarding the resources. Wheeling his way past the penguinman, he stopped momentarily on his path to a free table when he realized the possibility of another idenitity mishap. "Uh ye? Wheh?" Tilting his head, he waited to find out more as memory failed him.

THROW SOME THING AT THEM AND RUN FOR THE LOVE OF LLAMAS!
"Y-Yeah...Sure..." Marshall replied, promptly getting the lizard man a steak and some sushi, less he eat him with one of his two mouths. He was still freaking out, but was finally getting some control over his speech patterns again.
"Um...It was actually before any of my changes," Marshall said to the shark, concentrating on trying to figure out much a two-mouthed lizard would eat, "It was at the river."

"Thhank You" Victor said as he took the food from Marshall, carefully holding onto the tray with his clawed hands, backing up a bit from Marshall to give the poor guy some room. "Whhat'ssss you'rre Name?" Victor asked Marshall as he crawlled back close to a table, but he couldn't sit in the seats anymore, so he set the tray in the chairseat, and started to chew on the sushi, watching Marshall and Alec quietly, his tail tip moving and tapping to some tune in his head

He was thankful that Victor had taken the plunge in asking Marshall his name, seeing as he still had no idea who he was. An unchanged face was definetly not what stood before him now. "Th'riveh..." His voice trailed off as he still tried to think, even if he couldn't get himself to feel guilty about not being able to recognize people anymore. Still, something seemed familiar.
As he set himself up at the table where Victor had stationed himself, he went about fidgetting with the small taped bandages on his face. They felt tight and awkward on his face, and he was doing all he could to stop himself from picking them off like a child.

"Um...Its Marshall." the penguin man said, the urge to run like hell slowly going away. Then again, insulting a lizard mutant and a shark with bark is a pretty good way to get yourself killed in a fast yet painful manner.
"Erm...Your name is...Victor?"

The lizardman chewed on another piece of sushi, nodding to Marshall while thinking to himself, quietly glad that the penguin boy hadn't screamed or run away like that time in the entertainment room. The protruding legs from his back twitching and shifting as he looked back at Marshall.
"Yessssss, I'm Vicctorr, nicce to meet you Marrsssshhall" Victor said before offering the penguinman a clawed hand

Alec remained more quiet than usual as he gently plucked the fork from his tray and after juggling it between his webbed fingers to the right position, proceeded to shovel the contents of his dish into an unrecognizable mix. Victor was no doubt making an effort to seem as placid and friendly as possible, the sharkboy thought, but he wondered silently if the poor man was trying much too hard. Marshall was clearly uncomfortable, despite the fact that he apparently recognized Alec as a former acquaintance. He wanted as much as the next guy to be friends with everyone. Friends made it all seem ok even if just for a day, an hour, even a single moment. He hoped for Victor's sake that his tactic of being outwardly friendly would pay off in the long run.
"Maw'shall, a' remembeh ye. Ye came t'visit when a' was stuck outsi'." He was of course referring to the brief 'lockout' he experienced as a punishment for that time. Hopefully he wouldn't have to go into any detail on the past situation. The young teen, who'd been keeping to his plate for most of the abbreviated conversation, glanced up to offer a smile but faultered once he realized the impression a tooth-filled grin might give to the jumpy lot. Instead, he tried to form a smile just with his lips though how successful he was was unknown.

"N-Nice to meet you, V-Victor..." Marshall said, shaking the scaly hand uncomfortably. The...Well, he wasn't sure what this Victor character was supposed to be so he might as well refer to it as a 'man'...The man was friendly enough, and much happier with his lot in life than Marshall had been over his changes, which in comparison were at about the same level as a hair-cut.
Marshall looked over at Alec. Understandably, he mistook the smile for a sort of grimace at first, and only after staring for a few seconds did he realize that Alec was smiling with out showing his teeth.
"I'm glad to see you're back in the Village."

Victor nodded to Marshall, shaking the other man's flipper-hand before letting it go, turning back and starting to work on his steak, awkwardly holding onto a knife to cut the steak into smaller, more managable pieces, before picking up the pieces to eat them, putting them into his lower, orginal mouth. It felt strange to do it, but Victor was afraid to try eating with the other snoutlike mouth, and refused to try it. He looked up at Alec and Marshall as they spoke to each other, waiting a little while till he got a chance to speak again, trying to think of something worth starting a conversation over

Seeing as his expression hadn't caused anyone to get up and flee from the table, Alec contentedly scooped up the mixed food into his awaiting mouth. He noticed Marshall's discomfort still present but decided that he couldn't do anything more to help, so he chose to ignore it from then on. If the guy wanted to relax, he'd have to learn to get used to being around a variety of 'different' people.
"Ye. Me teh." The youngster nodded, forcing himself to swallow before he spoke to minimize the amount of projected food. "Def'netly no' safe ou' theh anehmore." The last comment was grumbled bitterly as he kept himself busy by playing with the food on his plate. He of course was referring to his comfrontation with the crazed tigerman though was unsure if the others would understand the point.

While Marshall didn't know any thing about Jamal, other than that he sang "I'm a Little Teapot" at the last get-together and that Ambrose wasn't very fond of him, so of course he thought Alec was talking about the almost mythical "Annie" of the island that traumatized Gaius.
"Yeah...Its always safer in a group, neh?"

Victor also had little knowledge of Jamal and Annie except for the fact that they were out there in the jungle...he hoped that he never had to deal with them, Victor wasn't sure if he'd be able to defend himself against either of them, it was a sobering thing to consider.

Alec sat back roughly in his wheelchair all of a sudden, the seat cushion squeaking in a painfully unfamiliar way for the sharkboy. In a seemingly impossible task, it appeared that he'd finished his meal in record time. The feat of course wasn't as stupendous when one considered the appetite of the species he was beginning to resemble more and more as time went on. The fork he was holding carelessly clattered onto the lunch tray. It was his fault that the conversation had turned sour and most likely why it hadn't flourished in the first place. He'd brought up what was on his mind, only to find out that he wasn't in the mood to confront it right now. He thought about Jordan and the fact that he hadn't seen Amaya in... months, apparently.
"Good." He suddenly muttered, wiping at his mouth in jittery motions with his arm. "Y'stick t'what's safe. Or i' be ye funeral, thas f'sure. Fun'ral a' th'ands of a wolf o' a tigeh, take ye pick." At the imbittered warning the youngster glanced around the table at Victor and Marshall, a look of indifference and pale numbness in his expression. "A' should ge' back t'me lake an' check on a friend though. See yes around, lads."
Before anyone could begin a barrage of questions or voiced concerns, the irish boy shoved himself backwards and turned a sharp 90 degrees towards the cafeteria door. Good guys those two, but he had no desire to remain in the awkward company of strangers anymore. He felt restless and anti-social, and wanted to be alone. With a fleeting wave he left the caf -and his dishes- without another thought.

Marshall wanted to say some thing, any thing, to the clearly distressed Shark boy before he left. But he couldn't. He had no right to, any way. It wasn't like with Oz or Gaius where he knew them and actually had an idea what they were going through.
"...B-Bye..." he said weakly as the shark stormed off. He turned the deformed lizard man, forcing a strange smile.
"W-Well...I best be off myself...Got to deliver some letters and stuff...Catchya around, Victor." Marshall said as he gathered his envelopes and left.
Today's theme...Awkward.

Victor nodded to Marshall after Alec had left, he would have prefered the sharkboy to stay, but such are things.
"Takke ccarre Marrsssshhall" Victor said, watching the penguin-guy go as well, silently thankful that Marshall didn't go running from the caferteria screaming or some such nonsense. The Lizardman sat there for some time, just eating alone, before picking up and leaving himself.
