Zackala trekked through the forest with an adamant determination to put as much distance in between his former companions and himself. The feeling of betraying possible friends didn't last long; he would do what it took to survive. Two more hours brought him to a clear stream and Zack paused for a sip. It was a beautiful spot, so he decided to grab a bite to eat and searched through the bag of food. An apple would suffice for the moment. The apple made a sharp, crisp sound as he took a bite and crossed the stream.

Dawn cursed to himself as he realized he was lost. He had lost the path back to his camp and by now his companions had either moved on or were dead. Sighing to himself he continued to trudge through the forest, searching for Misu and the boy named Zackala. He needed to locate them, especially the girl. He didn't like leaving her on her own in this place. As he ran along the undergroth cracked and rustled under his feet, heading away from the stream back into the depths of the forest....

Rose still hadn't seen the man's face, but she knew the shadows obiviously didn't like fire. Granted Rosie could just leave now, but she wasn't one to leave someone in need, when she could help. She looked at her companion, and took off running towards the man. Once she was next to him, she reached out with her hand, sending flames along his body. They wouldn't touch his skin or clothing, they'd stay just a fraction from touching anything and burning it. As long as Rose was able to focus, she'd be fine keeping it up for a while.

Two more days of travel and the trees came to a stop. Ahead of him was a large field, burnt away in some areas and littered with craters in others but whole for the most part. However, best of all was the glimmering dome he had mistaken for skyscrapers, now so close. With another burst of energy, Zackala began jogging toward it. He was so close now.. and the possibility of a warm bath and long rest in a comfortable bed drove him. He had another days rations left over, so he felt fairly set.

((Been working 11 hour shifts all freaking week...))
Relinth would hit the ground crouching down as Rose went to walk toward him. She would extend her arm but possibly to her suprise he was no longer in his former location. He had lept into the air in a spinning motion creating a blur of blades between his two weapons hoping to cut through the creatures as they went toward him also masking which blade was to strike them since with his speed it would be very difficult to tell which blade was cutting without looking at the length. At the same time he was begining to focus more energy. His Katana responded slowly letting off more heat then it had in the past starting to glow like superheated steel. Relinth wasn't able to tell exactly how many creatures were attacking him and as such might be vulnerable when he landed if the creatures were smart enough to wait.

((Eww..I'm sorry. *huggles*))
Rosie frowned, watching him. She thought she knew who it was, but he was gone before she even got a good look at him. She watched him with the blades. She nodded to herself, thinking if the didn't kill them all in time, they'd swarm him. She dropped to the ground, making sure Naito wasn't touching them. She put both hands to the ground, making a small ring of fire around her and possibly around Relinth, she'd have it so it'd be close enough to protect him, but far enough out to keep the shadows away.

As Rel jumped into the air, he would most likely be surprised as the shadows that were attacking him and those that were heading towards him burst into a brilliant white flame that was holy in nature. The energy would linger as the whispy shadows became less than smoke before disapating as well. Once the final white flame scorched a branch near the top of the tree, no sign of the creatures or their origin would remain. The only possible clues were weakened and dead animals scattered throughout a trail that led to a large fire scar of land that seemed to have been swallowed by the earth. Half submerged trees jutted from the scar that lay a half mile from Ka'rinth and Shadow's farm, yet the trail began and ended at the fire scar itself.

Relinth would be seared by the flames of holy magic as they leapt outward. He would hit the with his hands first pushing back up with all of his might sending him spinning into the air away from the flames and he would sail through the air tumbling for a few moments before hitting a tree branch with one arm and catching it with the other hand hanging lightly from it looking down at the smoke which was now rising from the ground
"Holy magic and shadow magic???"

Rosie tilted her head, watching the things explode into holy magic. It took her a few moments after they blew up, what just happened. Then hearing Relly's comment she shook her head. Not to many creatures can use holy and shadow magic. She slowly stood up, gently petting Natio as she watched the man. She couldn't see to much of him due to the smoke, she looked at the fire and frowned. She did another hand signal and muttered an incantation; the fire quickly died away, leaving some burnt grass, tree, shrubs and other things. She slowly looked up once again, watching and peering as she smoke starts to clear, wondering who was in the tree.

Relinth would pull himself up onto the branch moving into the shadows so that it would be impossible to make out his face one the flames were gone. He didn't want anyone to know whom he was just yet. He would stand crouched down in the shadows holding onto the limb with one hand and the other on his sword's hilt. His body would let off a small steam as he sat there and peices of his clothing would be burned off but he stayed perfectly still.

She frowned, watching the movement retract into the trees. She started forward, then stopped. "Please, just let me see who you are. You might of just saved my life. I'll be on my way, once I can propery thank you. I was headed...away from here. I'm not sure when I'll return..." She sighed, her voice sounded sad and slightly depressed as she peered up into the trees. Her vision was good, but the darkness, branches, leaves and steam was hiding him pretty well.

Knux had been watching the forest to the South of his location and was hearing the sounds in the distance. He had been in a sense of mind that was of an observer. He heard various things including the footsteps of forein people coming into the forest, someone eating an apple, and fire burning in the distance. Whether this fire was still burning from the fight sever nights ago or not was uncertain to him. He then sensed great energies being used and knew that a greater source of both good and evil were being used. The weird thing is that he saw both sources were actually that of one great source. He started to think that he was misusing his powers and that his reading were incorrect but, after a while, his results remained to be the same. After days of observation and no reaction to the results of others intentions he started to head South East. Towards the energies but East enough not to be sensed and be dragged into a fight. He started and as he did he didn't notice the few shadows behind him in approximately 50 meters out.

Relinth would stay silent for a few more moments looking intensly at Rose. He hadn't expected to have to deal with this problem. It was a long way from the place he called home. He would slowly remove his hand from the hilt of his weapon, moving both hands onto the branch below him. He would shift his weight back swinging down from the branch releasing his grip at the right moment to be able to flip down to the earth below him. He would step just enough into the open to give her a fair chance of making out whom it was
"You should know you don't have to thank me... It's not the first time I've saved your life."

Her ears twitched lightly, peering into the darkness. She could hear Naito beside her, purring slightly, as she rubbed against Rosie's leg. She watched as the shadow spun around on the tree limb, before landing closer infromt of her. Something about his voice..it was so- Seeing his face, confirmed what she had been thinking. Her eyes widdened slightly in shock, before she let out a choked gasp. "Da-" She started to call him Daddy, then paused. There had to be a reason why he had been so secreative, and she didn't know why or who was around that knew their relationship. She glanced around her, before looking back at him, smiling softly. "I some how doubt it'll be the last... I came here, looking for places or people...that might know something about Katsu... I'd thought he was gone, but lately... I just need to be sure... You don't know anything do you?" Her voice was so full of pain and emotion, that was still fresh though it had been years now. Something had triggered her pain, and now the wound was fresh and salt was being poured onto it once again. Depending on how well his eye sight was, and if he moved closer to her; he may see tears starting to well up in her eyes.

Kuro still wandered aimlessly, through the darkness of the forest, she hadn't come across anything living for awhile. She sniffed the air, and tilted her head.
There was water moving from somewhere, probably a stream or creek, she vaguely wondered if it was water coming from her waterfall. She sighed, she must of been going in circles. She really needed something to do. While having Makoto as company was substantial, she really wished she came across someone, or something, prefferably one of which who wouldn't want to kill or fight her, that talks.
Yeah, like that was going to happen.
