Nobody here is scoffing Adam, I'm pointing out the obvious, no matter how hard you work no matter how many bumps you take you will never be a big thing without a stupid gimmick and a cheap catch phrase. You know that.

Chris you gotta understand man, fans want this kinda stuff. You gotta be something that the fans will buy into. What would Hulk Hogan be without his Red and Yellow Superhero type persona? What would Roddy Piper be without his brash obnoxious scottish behavior? What would Khali be without his.....uh....without his......umm...you get the point. But the thing is, its not just gimmicks fans look at, its athletisim. Jay Lethal is a bright young athlete, and with or without the gimmick, he'll be something.

Chris Benoit won the WIF Rumble, Chris Benoit just won a 34 page match, Chris Benoit is main eventing Wrestlemania and yet Chris Benoit still doesn't get respect from the wrestlers here or the fans.
