I'm going to go home and play some Malphite and Morgana today.
Gonna get my a** kicked, but I'm going to learn something, damnit!

How can you get your a** kicked as Malphite? Unless you really suck as him...

I'm ok with him. Not great, though. I have the same problem with him that I do with all the other characters I pick up. I don't know how to gear him, so it takes me some figuring out.

You're playing as Malphite. Stack armor, and health. Do what I do on every tank character I play. Stack Sunfire Cape(s).
Maybe even some extra speed. Especially on Malphite. Since his rock throw thing will grant extra movement speed. Hit them with the rock. Exhaust them, ground pound, hell anything you need to do. I usually save my ultimate on him for Team Fighting. Since I can knock each and every one of them in the air.
And when they land. They feel the wrath of my stacked AoE damage.

I'd been planning on using the Sunfire Cape, since I didn't have it in my previous build concept. I mean, it really only makes sense to wear it on a tank character. I don't want to stack them, though. I'll save that for Amumu or Rammus if I ever get him.
So far, I'd planned Frozen Heart > Merc's/Tabi/Swiftness > Sunfire > Guardian/Thornmail > Warmog's
EDIT: I can't wait to start runing. I think I've got a good idea for my method for Warwick, but I'm not sure yet.

Frozen Heart is quite the good choice. Since it will reduce all the time each move is on cool down. I usually go with Swiftness, since it's just that much faster, and I can chase people down easily. Sunfire is excellent, I don't know why you wouldn't stack them, two hundred and forty damage a tick doesn't sound appealing?

Herra Karhu You're playing as Malphite. Stack armor, and health. Do what I do on every tank character I play. Stack Sunfire Cape(s). Except Malphite is one of only a few champs who can gear as a DPS, as a tank, as a hybrid-caster, etc. and do equally well.
Crit Malphite's deadly as hell for example.
Also, if building tank, ignore Karhu and build like you would build Shen for HP, then with a bit of armor/MR in the mix. Reason being Malphite's innate obviously builds with his HP, meaning the more max HP you have, the more they have to damage before they even begin actually hurting you.

Pretty much.
Sunfire Cape(s) (when you have a lot of them) is a lot of damage output but not as much of anything else. You should really reserve that strategy for a character like Rammus or Alistar where they have a button that says "I stop taking damage for X seconds and stand next to you".
Malphite doesn't have an "I stop taking damage" button.
But what do I know, I've only been playing the game 3 days.
