Its stupid o clock in the morning. WHY am I up?
Because not ONLY was it decided we are having a day trip as a family, it was decided this trip would be to bloody BIRMINGHAM (other end of the country almost to where I live) and they arent even going to let me go in the massive comic store when we're there! Fiends!
Where is it I AM going? Clothes show. As silly as it sounds, yes I AM taking my goth self to a CLOTHES show. Reason: ALL my cool Nightmare Before Xmas shizzle came from there last year... and I think its time a Demyx look-a-like invaded a public gathering. So I have dutifully Brylcream'd my hair into Demyxian proportions, dressed myself in black, whacked on the huge boots of doom and my Narox/Organisation coat.... and now I prepare to go show the fashion world teh wrath only a goth gamer can bring. Ph34fr m3!!!!

What an.. interesting... day. xd After leaving yesterday, we went to my aunts and met up with her, her daughter, and like 6 of her friends. Two came in the car with my mum, me and Lesley. One of them suffered from car sickness and stupidly took NOTHING to help. We had to stop five times on the way to Birmingham. Grr arg.
By the time we finally got there (I rocked out to Bodom the whole way ^_^), we were slightly before our turn to see teh adctual fashion show itself, so we decided to shop later, watch show now. As we had platinum tickets, we were sat RIGHT next to the catwalk and got in nice and quick. The show was started by these two hosts, who were ok, and this woman (Amy something) who I didnt like... cos I dont like that kind of music.
Luckily it recovered! The first song that came on was a remix of Queen's We Will Rock You, with the models that came out showing off punk outfits. And this wasnt a case of 'strut down the catwalk, pout, leave'. It was more 'strut in time to the music, pout, do a phenomenal dance routine, pout, show off muscles, strut back and do another dance routine'. They had 10 male models in the show and about 15 girls... and the men were HOT. They had every nation represente dit seemed - African, Italian, European etc etc etc and they were ALL in great health. We could tell because form what we saw, all men wil be in 'skirts' next year (and admittedly they looked great)... and they kept break dancing and doing flips. Which is how we could tell they WERENT kilts - they WERE wearing things underneath xd Very nice lads though. The women were all as tall as me, but where as Im a healthy size 12, they were all size 10 or less... which to my eye looks scary thin. Most of them had no real boobs ot boast of either due to over exercise (For teh models who were dancers) or under eating (for the models who ONLY do modelling).
The clothes in themselves were much better than I expected. Wouldnt wear MOST of it myself, but some of it I would, which suprised me.
After drooling over the beefcake for about an hour, we came out of the show and went shopping. To my joy we started in the red zone - which had all teh stores Id buy from in it. I bought:
Nightmare Before Xmas wallet, necklace and earrings
Chinese insipred black top
Real silk chinese jacket
Hand socks
Pair of trousers with buckles all up the sides
Black leather belt shaped into a dragon (REALLY cool)
Grey belt for Bard
£40 Rimmel make up for £10
and my buy of the day..... corset.
See, I cant buy store corsets - my rib cage is quite wide, my bust is big and my waist is tiny, so store boughts DONT fit. I found a store where they make hand made ones, all unique, and they are REAL corsets, properly boned and fitted. WHen they measured me, they were even suprised - Im a size 22. Thats tiny xd The corset she fitted to me though felt great and looked stunning... so I bought it. It was £130 xd But well worth it as I now FINALLY have a corset I can wear lots. They also make dresses for weddings etc... ninja So yeah.. thats my xmas pressie form my gran, who gave me money to go shopping with.
Considering I dont do fashion, I was really pleased with what I got, and the range of clothes.
Number of people who liked my Organisation coat: Lost count after 15
Number of people who know what it was: None
Number of other 'goths' I saw: 20
Oh an dI also found Naruto plushies for some unknown reason, but didnt buy any xd
Clothes show? You got pwned. I think I'll go back next year...
