I've been studying how to make EU3 mods last night from Paradoxian's EU3 wiki. I learned from there three things:
1. Modding the game can be quite fun.
2. Adding historical units along with a form of government can be tricky to balance.
3. The hardest thing to make in a mod is an entire country. xd

I actually made a minor mod that let's me edit which countries control which provinces, but I had to do it using spy decisions. I didn't know how to code for anything else. sweatdrop

I kinda wanna make the Jurchens and then give them the decision to form Manchu. But, I'll need a month of not having classes to do it properly.
Since classes start tomorrow for me, I'll have to postpone it until December. As for the units and form of government, I did all those and the balance is quite good. >.<
Should I make something Sailor Moon-related in-game just for laughs? :p
Using spy decisions? I kinda wanna try that. surprised

To be fair, the event modifiers are kinda easy to modify. I checked it, and I modified Rome Reborn.
I've seen some EU3 mods which have more countries on them. surprised
I kinda wanna try having the Jurchens pop up, then make something with Sailor Moon on it. Perhaps the Moon Kingdom would have Latin tech? Or would Chinese tech suffice? biggrin

Yeah, adding a country shouldn't be that hard. Just copy another country and edit it to fit what you want.

Well then you can just use that mod. Makes things a lot easier.
I'm thinking I might try EUIV again in a bit. I mean I have the time now to play it.
