Krausse Kreugar a KO doesn't mean you automatically win, though. I'm pretty sure it does, but they still have to grade it. I mean, you can get a KO and score awfully, but in almost every tournament for the past couple of years, an IC KO will trump anything else unless someone was an absolute d**k and outright powerplayed to get the KO.

Ah, so would my fight count as a KO? I mean, I didn't technically knock out my opponent, but I severed his spine and destroyed his diaphragm, so he was carted out of the fight whereas my character managed to walk back to his hotel room.

That would constitute a KO I think. It's the same in my fight. Deitric didn't KO his opponent, he crippled him and forced him to concede on the basis that he could no longer fight.
A KO or rough equivalent is pretty much insta-win. The only way to lose after KOing your opponent is if you 1) cheated or 2) really, really, really ******** up to the point that the judges felt it appropriate to void your win.
If you don't get a KO, you can still lose even if you were dominant, but actually beating your opponent into submission usually seals the deal.
