GRRAAAR! Why is there no ******** work?! Why!? Tell me, now, someone, please just fricken tell me why it's suddenly impossible to walk into a store ask for a job and just get one?! Seriously, like ten to twenty places in a fricken day and after a week of that STILL no job! Nothing! This ******** world is pissing me off!!

That only works with fast food stores in the best of times. You're basically getting what happened to me the first time I was looking for a job. Either go for a job you really have good experience for, or something nobody else would consider. The rest is luck of the draw.

I don't mind working with older folks, infact I'd much rather work with people over my age group simply because they tend not to be as big idiots than my peers. No, the problem is that because these older folk have the jobs I'm trying to get even though I don't mind working with them is pretty moot in point as there's no jobs to be had!

Yes, of course I see your point. Nothing really I can do to make that any better for you. As you said, you're smarter than others of your age, so just make that apparent in interviews. That seems to be pretty much what got me a job.

Another thing that seriously pisses me off? Why in the hell are there no more paper applications?! Seriously now, all the online applying deal is driving a last nerve on me. There's no substitute for being able to look your applicant in the eye and get a feel for exactly what kind of person he or she is! If they're worth looking into you will, if not then you can put their application on the bottom of the pile, but damn it you could be the most qualified person in the world and be totally worthless to the company because you can't integrate yourself into their employment structure or you can be starting out with zero experience but TONS of potential and the HR manager will never see that because they never get a chance to talk to you because they're only looking at fricken lifeless text on a screen!

...and I wonder why I have an ulcer. The sheer stupidity of people on this planet is proof Darwin was wrong.
