Specifically, I am trying to find a pair of pants that look decent with the bone boots, and trying to find a way to take advantage of the dual-layering of the helm.

As far as irrational fears go, that one's fairly common. Roaches are just gross like that. And I have experience. I'm in Florida. But wrong I was and there's nothing doing about that. Plus I hate earning the disapproval of someone for whom I have a great amount of respect, so that's part of it too.
