Rei's stomach growled upon catching a whiff of barbecue. He cocked his head to the side and scratched his head.

"Countess, you know that smell? That's the smell of food." He gingerly crossed the hall full of bear traps and took a peek outside the back door. The smell of delicious meat was stronger, and so Rei sidestepped from the net trap, safely making it to the barbecue pit.

"Hello, Dark. I see you are cooking meat." Rei's stomach became rather audible.

"I like meat."

Dark lays out a BBQ feast on a large picnic table in the back yard. Burgers, steaks, sausage, bacon, baked potatoes you name it. It was all there, cooked to perfection.
"Suppers ready!" He calls to the group as he begins making himself a burgers.

The smell of freshly cooked food wafted into the dark, master bedroom on the second floor of the house. Something stirred underneath the bed sheets and Maddy's head poked out.
"Food?"
She crawled out of bed, still in her pajamas, and made her way downstairs. She poked her head in the kitchen.
"Food?"
There was no food.
She grumbled a little and moved on, continuing to follow the smell until it lead her to her back yard. There she found the food.
"Food!"
Grabbing herself a plate, she loaded it up with all the meat it could hold without anything sliding off and sat down at the picnic table across from Rei.
"A man that can cook... Great!"

Reicould only nod in approval of Maddy's plate. He wolfed down the last of his meal, wiped his face with a napkin, and looked down at his TADS.

"Ah, so it's open again," he remarked. Putting the device away, he looked back at Maddy.

"Remember those caverns we visited a while back? Well after SOMEONE'S Gyarados wrecked a section, the area was closed off, supposedly because it was too dangerous. But a recent notice on their website says the blast opened a new area, so I would like to check it out. Do you mind if I use the sub again?" he asked, his eyes hopeful. His Zubat snorted in disgust; another cave she couldn't explore.

"I blame the Relicanth." Dark says bluntly as he finishes his burger and goes for a sausage.
"Scarlet was merely protecting me."

Rei smirked at Dark's reply and nodded at Michael.

"Sure. Everyone interested is welcome to come along. I honestly don't know what we'll find in there, though. I guess that's what makes it fun."

Rei got up from his seat and threw his disposable plate away, then went inside to inform Maddy of his intentions. He entered the kitchen just in time to see Maddy shoveling large slices of cake into her mouth.

"...Hello, Maddy," he said, embarrassed at interrupting her while she was eating. "I just wanted to say, I'm on my way to the aquarium in Ambrette Town." Maddy froze in mid-consumption, one hand meeting her face, the other already grasping another slice. Frosting hung from her fingers, dropping to the floor.

The two stared at each other, frozen, for about a minute. Rei coughed, breaking the silence.

"Um, yeah, so I'll just wait for everyone at the sub, then. That's all I wanted to say. See you soon!" He ran out of the house without another word.

There are some things you just don't interrupt.

Michael finished his second plate, threw his plate in the trash and headed towards the sub. As he walked towards the sub he decided to pull a pokeball from his satchel and tossed it. In a flash of light Squirt appeared next to Michael. As the two walked Michael spoke to his Blastoise. "Squirt I can't leave you out like before. If I could I would, I hate how you are cramped inside that ball, but you cannot even enter doorways now. That's why I let you out now, my friend until we are at the sub." Squirt looked at Michael and then let out a smile and nodded at his friend.

Allen had approached the yard a while ago. It seemed that lately he'd been staying so far under the radar it was hard to join up with the rest of aqua. He waved, though it seemed like no one really noticed him. He'd sat down to eat a few things before he heard Rei talk about where he'd be going and watched the guy leave. He glanced around at everyone else. He looked down at his Pawniard who had a sausage stuck on each point on his little body, two on his horn. Allen sighed, shaking his head and poking the little Sharp Blade Pokemon with it's ball to return him. Sausages and all. He stood, picking up the last of his food with a napkin to eat on the way. He followed Rei out to the sub without a word.
