It's not a matter of destroying someone. It's a matter of making the fight readable.

If every fight read like an MMA transcript I wouldn't be interested. I'm in it for anime or movie styled fights where the characters actually shittalk each other while kicking each other's asses. Not a silent back and forth of punches and counters. That s**t is ******** boring.

I agree somewhat.

Conversation in the middle of a fight to the extent of a back and fourth every post seems hokey to me no matter what the medium. However some witty banter if used in moderation is great. Though I think announcers are better for this than the fighters themselves.

For me. I want my matches to all give the feeling I get at an Indy wrestling show like pro wrestling gorilla or dragon gate.

I want you to have those moments where you are like...

OH s**t OH s**t

Dat hype.

And if i have to ill carry the match both for my benefit and against it to achieve that feeling.

Well WWF type wrestling has tons of back and forth talking in it.

That's what makes it more entertaining on that level than UFC matches.

Outside the match and at the very least just before it starts

But they don't really talk in the matches. Unless you are talking about like one or two word quips.

Wwe wrestling Is very mediocre in comparison to Indy wrestling because the wwe is more worried about injuries.

Well I haven't watched wrestling in like... 10 years.

But I mean, conversations add to the fights. They don't detract from them. It gives them greater meaning. All this s**t is based around the kind of fighting you see in classic anime or s**t like Pokemon. People talk back and forth and monologue and its all dramatic. It isn't a boxing roleplay where people show up, touch gloves, and then there isn't another spoken word until the end of the fight.

If you want to make a tournament like that that's fine, but this isn't really the site for it. That's more like a... wrestling/boxing RP fansite, which is like a 10 person subculture of the hobby. No one else is really interested in that kind of thing. That's why we get fights where people punch each other in the face 20 times and not fights where they barely touch each other unless its deciding the winner in that moment.

KB you have seen berserk right?

Remember guts and griffith's first fight?

That would have made a good Rp fight.

I mean I see what you are saying about talking being cool.

I agree that to an extent it is.

However like anything else I still think it needs to be used in moderation.

If two guys are yapping the entire time It means one of three things:

1. There isn't enough action. You can talk reasonably while doing an action but if the fight is high paced you are focusing on breathing.
2. Somebody isn't selling. Because talking while you are injured is usually not feasable.
3. You are overusing dialogue. Some times you can talk too much and unless you are extremely funny, you probrably are making bad jokes more than good ones.

Your actions should speak for themselves and like I said, I like the idea of roleplaying fans and announcers. Remember when you had the crowd spitting for tres's spit move? That was a very vivid scene and spoke volumes.

Or when tres hit the omega driver on sokoya and the crowd shouted the name of the move? That was cool too,

Sometimes your character doesn't have to be the one talking either.

Right. I know what you mean, and I appreciate the limitations of it. There's a time and a place yadda yadda.

But him going "RAAAAAAGH!" and bellowing out in pain while he's falling back spraying fire around and turning into a snake isn't really one of those moments. It's just a sound someone would make if they were retreating in extreme pain. Not like he's sitting there going "AHH AHHH AHHHHHHH (breath) AHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AHHHHH AHHHHH"

Yeah and we should always look back on our Rp thinking,

Hey maybe doing this thing instead would have been cool.

It's best to not give molestia too hard a time about it.

Her head was in the right place during the fight and she had open dialogue with the opponent. I'm sure her next match will be one that is finished and one that is rewarding for both parties.

Well critique of Molestia stems from the fact that with very few exceptions she hasn't had any good RP fights in a couple of years. People always drop out instead of wanting to fight her because she's terrible. Probably the only people that have actively wanted to RP with her have been Hael and Kyt, and both because she can't keep her legs closed.

Overall she doesn't really bring anything valuable to the tournament or even entertaining. She's a wasted slot. What should have been cool or an opportunity for someone with actual skill has instead turned into her poor posts and two opponents opting to quit rather than RP with her.

No, I enjoy rp'ing with her because I consider her a good rp'er. A bit dramatic, sure, egotistical/arrogant, maybe, but that's not all she is, and most of it is honestly just a front.

And I'll have you know that I've got an amazing gf right now who's not her, yet I'm very much hoping I get to fight her in the next round.

I'm with you here, man.

If there are two forfeits, in a row, and in the same tournament for that matter, obviously something is up. At that point, there needs to be a talk from upstairs with this chick, to figure out exactly what is up.
While there is the chance she just got some punk a** opponents, it just doesn't seem right, Broski.

There was only one forfeit, and it was this round. Her opponent last round just wasn't around for a long stretch of time.

My first opponent didn't forfeit his fight. He was unable to complete because of whatever illness he had. We didn't have a single argument during our fight.

See, this is what irritates me. You have a bunch of scrubs who don't know a thing about me trying to talk s**t. 99% of the time their facts are totally wrong, as demonstrated by Yummybiscuit's post. When it comes down to actually playing and I end up outsmarting them and baiting them into traps they whine because I force them into situations that they can't avoid.

Considering how I normally score decently in everything I do, and as I've said before, I rarely lose an argument when it's taken for other people for their input,I don't think there's anything wrong with how I play at all. I'm fair, I'm always willing to discuss with people, and I don't talk s**t about you until you start bad mouthing me.

But unless you've actually played with me, or even made an attempt to talk to me, then you need to keep your unjustified opinion to yourself. You shouldn't even have one. The fact that you do means one thing.

You're a ******** sheep, and chances are I'm better than you.
