Maria frowned and smoothed back Shiro's hair. "Just go to sleep. We'll talk later," she said softly. But hearing him say that... Well, she couldn't just say no. She really didn't want to go back and be alone. Again.

Shiro nestled up to her, sighing some. Her touch was gentle and it soothed him. So he decided some sleep was going to do good for him. And he fell asleep.

As Maria watched Shiro fall asleep, she let one tear escape for the elder raven. She could see the pain that Shiro was in, and she hated it. Whatever he told her would help him the most, even if it meant returning to Mesilici without him, she would do.

Shiro slept for a while until he woke up, nuzzling up to Maria more. He didn't want to get up, but probably the assistants to his grandfather would want to talk about what to do.

Maria hadn't slept at all, and when Shiro started to wake up, she nuzzled him back. "A few people were looking for you, but I told them to wait for you to get up."

Shiro sighed and nodded some, sitting up. "Alright. I should go talk to them. I'll be back later." he said, kissing Maria sweetly. He then got up and exited the room, going to talk with those people.

Maria watched as Shiro left, while she also listened to what he'd told her. She had to go back to Mesilici, and she knew it. So, she got up, glanced after the raven who would soon be the elder of the village, and called up an eagle. She climbed out the window, got on the eagle's back, and headed into the sky to go back home.

Shiro had sat with the men as they gave him the answer he knew was coming. He had to stay to be trained to be the leader of the ravens. And he accepted. So there he was, being led into a den where he was to begin his lessons to become the Raven of ravens.

Maria arrived back home, sad but determined. She went up to her parents' room to say hello, and her mother enveloped her in the biggest hug she'd ever had to endure. Kaya knew her daughter was unhappy, but she didn't ask what had happened.
Madden was just waking up, when she caught sight of the old lady moving around the edge of the place they'd camped for the evening. Quietly, Madden shook Kuro awake, pointing out the woman.
Diablo picked Myra up, planning to take her back inside. He kissed her forehead, glad that his family approved of her.

Luke comforted his daughter, knowing better than to ask.
Kuro woke and saw the woman lurking about as well. He whispered to her to pretend she was asleep. The boy then exited the carriage, faking a yawn, making it look like he was the first one up.
Myra smiled softly and nestled into Diablo's arms. She had dozed off and was having a pleasant dream. One she'd like to stay in for a while.

Maria pulled herself out of her parents' arms and glanced between them. "I had an idea..."
Madden did as Kuro had asked, but she listened really hard to figure out what was going on.
Diablo carried Myra upstairs and tucked her into his own bed. He knew he probably should have taken her to Cici's room and tucked her into the bed there, but as he curled up with her, nuzzling the girl, he decided he didn't care.

Luke looked down to his daughter, quite curious. "Yes my dear? What is it?"
Kuro sat down next to the fire he never lit. He got it going and started cooking up some breakfast before he looked to the woman. "Is someone there?"
Myra only smiled more in her sleep and nestled up to Diablo, enjoying his warmth. This was the perfect night for her.

Maria twisted her fingers together. "We don't really concentrate on anything outside of Mesilici. We need something for foreign affairs to help the students that come from far away, and also so more people know about Mesilici."
The old woman smiled at Kuro and bowed to him. "My lord, you must move on to the next temple. At the end of them all, you will know." And with that, she disappeared.

Luke glanced to Kaya, but smiled and nodded. "That sounds wonderful, Maria. You should get right on that. You're just as clever as your mother."
Kuro watched as she disappeared before going back to Maria. He sat down and thought some. "She said we had to move on to the next temple. At the end, we'd know what is going on. And she called me a lord."

Kaya smiled at Maria, as well, taking Luke's hand. "You'll have to go talk to Jethrow, then."
Madden gasped sarcastically. "She called you a lord? How demeaning to a prince!" she said sarcastically.
