( XDD At first I thought that said "slide posts" not "side plots" XDD don't ask. XD Now I'm thinking I should have brought Poland in as another character back when. XDD *shrugs* oh well. XDD *like, totally chuckles to self*)

Catching the glare that was thrown in his direction, he swallowed a little and tried to casually look away from it like it didn't bother him. Fortunately he was soon busy with speaking to the others, so Matthew simply looked to Haku and gave an apologetic look. He held out his hand a little in offers to give some kind of comfort should she take it. This was getting to be quite a heated issue now, and he a little more awkward with each passing minute.

((very interesting =D! ))

Green
Maverick kept his cool. he had circles already ready on both of his hands just incase things got out of hand, and it seemed to be going in that direction.

Brown
Kratos looked around "I dont like this... i have a feeling that things are not going as planned in there.."

Lord Inu nodded "my demonic intuition is telling me the same.... "

((Haha, ahhh, I love this roleplay~!))

Bunko blinked, noticing something in the conversation between Jack and Hotstreak almost immediately. "W-Wait, the orphanage burnt down? I-Is everyone... okay?" She asked, amazed that she hadn't heard of this before. Why hadn't Faya, of all people, told her about this earlier? Wait, did she even know about this?

Tomoe heard her friend and her eyes immediately softened. "Oh, Bunko-chan. I'm so sorry." She whispered, moving away from Haku, walking over to her elder friend, touching her hand to her back. With her other hand, she grasped onto her arm, pulling her into a hug. "We believe that the Federation of Quasar was behind it. I'm sorry love, but no one survived."

If before she didn't have tears in her eyes, now Bunko was bawling. "Oh no! God no!" She exclaimed as she grasped onto Tomoe tightly, crying into her shoulder. "Mama, no! Dear god, why?!"

Tomoe couldn't help but share her friend's pain. Lum was a wonderful mother. So caring and so sweet, she was just a joy to be around. "It's okay Bunko. They're in a better place. Lum and the children both. They're where the FoQ can't hurt them..." She tried to soothe her as best as she could, so that the scene she was beginning to start wouldn't escalate too much.

"They seem to have encountered very powerful beings in there. Possibly the heads by their energy signatures." Toph mused as she opened her eyes, glancing over at Lord Inu and Kratos. Her arms were crossed over her chest as she looked over to the company. "One has the signature of a firebender, but the other... the other has powers I have never felt nor witnessed before. It's quite amazing in that aspect..." She then remembered something. "Oh! And Oomizu's gettin' pissed, I just thought ya'll would like to know that lil bit of info." She told them with a chuckle.

Brown

Kratos smiled. Toph really was amazing to be able to pick up all that info. he looked over to the group "Ok then we are ganna have to go in then. If Oomizu is getting mad then that means that things are going down hill fast. "

Lord Inu nodded "I will provide a distraction. Once they move from the gate you all should storm the front doors."

Gakupo shifted so his knees were underneath so that he could jump up quickly and make a dash when they were ready. He just hoped Kumajiro wouldn't get too mad if he was woken up.
Meiko shifted some and tilted her head. "Eh, Oomizu's mad? What's the big deal? People get mad all the time. Just look at Neru... Who's probably sleeping right now."
Scout nodded his head. "Yeah? If ya ask me, she seems to get pissed easily. Why should this be any different?"

Haku was shaking in fear. She saw the hand offered and reached for it for support. Ah, the irony that one of the quiet members of the group would seek the comfort of the other quiet member.
Luka watched carefully to see if there would be any need for her to fight. Takoluka crawled onto Luka's head and tilted her head in curiousity. This didn't seem to be going well.

It had been Lum's orphanage that had burned? Granted, any orphanage burning would make Oomizu upset, but most of the children in there were really young and/or sick. That was low. And to hear the Luma had died too... Had that been why Faya had been sleeping in the portal room? Oomizu closed her eyes and silently counted to herself. She was already losing enough of her temper, and her losing her temper at the moment wasn't a good idea since she could tell she was slightly off balance today.

Kratos sighed. they were right. "Ughh... well shes mad and they are in a place that they are supposed to be acting like someone on a business meeting and stuff so its obvious they are in trouble or things are not going as planned "

Hitomi had enough of this. Standing up, the psychic sighed, noticing almost immediately that there was something 'off' about Oomizu today. "This has gone on for long enough." She noted before she glanced out a windo, with a hand touching her neck wistfully. "Call off your dogs out there, and we can talk about this more later. All of this distress, 'specially on poor Bunko's part, has gone on long enough." She then looked back to Oomizu, trying to regain her role as being the peacekeeper between her boyfriend and the rest of the group. "You can stay the night if you wish, we have more than enough room. As you said, our 'cushy' lifestyle is full of excess that it could accomidate everyone." She commented, with a tinge of bitterness in her voice. She hated being thought of selfish and all 'high and mighty'. Oomizu should have known her better than that. Besides, the only reason she's treated like that is because Hotstreak believes she deserves it. Not her.

Tomoe continued to comfort her friend, not knowing what else to say to her. What could you say to a friend who had just found out that their lives had just gone up in smoke? Literally.

Faya giggled, seeming as though she was more off in the distance than the rest of the group. But as she moved closer, she stopped beside Toph, sitting next to her now. "Oh, don't worry 'bout it guys. Mizu-chan can get so much worse than what you've seen already. Trust me, you haven't seen anythin' yet." She told the group before glancing over at the company.

Toph nodded slowly. "Oh yeah, I can see that."

Oomizu had her eyes squeezed shut and she had continued to count until she had reached 30 for the 10th time. She had lost control again. Damn. She moved from barely rubbing hr temple to massaging the base of her skull to continue calming herself down as she listened to Hitomi. Finally, she stood up and seemed to be perfectly fine, as though nothing had happened. "Sorry every one. I lost... my temper. Honestly, I shouldn't be here today. Somethign else is troubling me, and I have no right to snap on any of you... Especailly you Hitomi. Of cours, you probably know already I didn't mean what I said. I need to be some where else right now..." She bit her lip and looked up to the girl, knowing she would see something was troubling Oomizu. "I should be more careful on what I say when I'm unbalanced, huh? It's just that... Some one needs my help and I think you and I both know I tend to get caught up in relations and all. Please forgive my outburst." She was calming down now and probably wouldn't hurt any one at this point. She looked to Bunko and hugged her friend, leaning her head against the sobbing girl's shoulder.

((I know that this may irritate some of you, but could someone fill me in? I'm just gonna start my first game of Monster Hunter Tri right now, and you guys were the first people I thought up XD))
PostPosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 9:25 pm

((That is amazingly flattering, Durban.
Well, right now the group is split in half again, if you didn't catch that part. The people typing in brown, or under the header "brown," are sitting around, waiting for what's going on with the others to go to s**t. The ones typing in green or under the "green" header are in the S.P.I. building, Stone Pyre Inc, and talking with the owners, trying to get them to stop helping the Federation of Quasar so much. The owners are Hotstreak and Hitomi; this is what they've been up to since the last RP. Things are getting a little tense in the meeting room, but Hitomi's just offered for them to spend the night in the place, so long as they "call off the dogs," the backup, outside.))

Hotstreak did a very good job of holding his temper in check. Instead of shouting, burning things, and causing plenty of damage in general, he sat still, listening to everything as he tried to keep his breathing even. Then he heard something that was just absolutely ridiculous. "You accuse me and my company of all this deviousness, all these underhanded deals... You call us the untrustworthy ones, saying that negotiating with you guys is such a bad thing because we were friends... But look at what you do! None of you told this poor girl that her parents were dead!? This is a terrible way to have to find out. This isn't even the only way you treated your 'allies' like crap, either. My men inside that FoQ base weren't allowed into the room your Spy was kept in, but they heard his screams loud and clear. How do you think he feels about you all keeping that Medic as one of your team? Did you even ask him about it?" He stood, looking through one of the windows. "I could easily have everyone in the Federation of Quasar killed. You could do the same. But I won't. I've got people here who have families on both sides. I've got people here who've lost families to both sides. Not everyone who works for the FoQ is evil; just like not everyone who lives and works on your precious floating city is good. That is why we have to negotiate. That is why I can't fully trust you. You do this s**t to each other, and the guy in charge doesn't tell you guys anything. Jack, don't you remember? When we last helped Emmet, what happened? He worked with our enemy behind our backs. You lost the woman you loved, and he knew it was going to happen, and didn't so much as hint at it to you. I'll bet he was counting on it happening, because how else would you have given up that sword?" The metahuman paused, turning back to face the group. "So all of you, quit acting like you're so much better than us. You're not." Then, Hotstreak turned his back to them, walking to the door at the back of the room. "You're 'friends' out there are welcome to come and spend the night here, as well. Arrangements can be made so you can contact your city, and even go back there if you want. I'm going to be honest and say that you're going to be kept under surveillance while you're here, which you probably already guessed. There ain't any cameras in the bathrooms or anything perverted like that, so don't worry. I hope you all enjoy your stay." Now, he wasn't as good with words as Hitomi, but Hotstreak did have his moments, and he'd had plenty of time to practice public speaking. He just hoped he had left enough of an impression on the ones that didn't blindly trust the God of Time.

Jack was at a loss on what to say. Most everything Hotstreak said was either true or probably true. He did know Emmet's long-term goal for the planet, however, and that was mainly to keep everyone from causing an Apocalypse. Keep Quasar alive, by any means necessary. Even if it meant a few sacrifices now and again... Before, when he didn't know what to say, he'd babble on about anything. This time, he just kept his mouth shut, and turned to place a hand on his goddaughter's shoulder, to try and comfort her.

The Spy decloaked, because there wasn't much point to being invisible when they already knew where he was. That man had a lot of good points... While the people living on the city generally treated them like heroes, he couldn't help feel like the members of this group asked to be there ended up getting the short end of the stick from each other and those higher up in power more often than not. However, being a spy, he was fairly used to employers not caring much about the well being of their employees. Hell, he'd heard plenty of stories of spies being turned in by the very same people who had hired them to begin with. That's why the number one rule for any spy has always been, "Trust no one."

Medic was starting to get a bit bored, himself. It sounded like things down there could go either way at this point. There wasn't much he could do, however, than just wait. He wondered how much longer it would be before the Scout started to complain...

( Sorry i didn't post. >< today completely sucked and left me museless)

Matthew was standing in a stunned silence. His soft hand was firmly, yet carefully holding Haku's in comfort for both her and himself. He didn't know what to do, say or think at this point, but the nation didn't like what was happening. It was putting him on an uneasy edge.

Arthur had let his ears out of the ribbon. Mainly because the stupid thing was cutting off the circulation, so the long sandy coloured ears hung, lopped and falling just below his shoulders. He waited quietly as he listened to the group. He was ready to run in, but things had kind of gotten boring out here. He shifted a little, brushing his dark green clothing a little. His tail giving an irritated flick. It was very easy to irritate him.

Kumajiro shifted. Still sleeping. He was an incredibly heavy sleeper when he wanted to be.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 27, 2010 11:56 pm

Upon listening to Oomizu's explanation, Hitomi just smiled and nodded. "Oh Oomizu-dear. Don't worry about it, I know all about how you're feeling love. If you ever need to talk about it, I'm all ears. 'sides, I already know what's going on with you, so there's no need to hide it, especially from me." She replied to the younger blond, touching the side of her nose with her index finger. Winking during this motion, she clearly gave off the sign of a secret that she knew of that was bothering Oomizu. Well, her powers could allow her to delve into the minds, dreams, and even pasts of her friends and even her enemies. So it wasn't uncommon for her to pick up on these sort of things just by allowing herself to read what aura they are possessing at the time. With a gentle sigh, she moved her way around Hotstreak's desk before walking towards the wad of cash that Oomizu had thrown on the ground before, during her little rant. Using her previously-mentioned powers, her pendant glowed with a vibrant, violent aura before flicking her wrist in an upwards motion. Almost immediately, the money flew up into her outstretched hand. As her hazel eyes observed the wad of cash, just wondering why in the world someone would stash this away inside of their top, she began to listen to her boyfriend's own tangent. While staying silent, she waved her hand in the air, teleporting the money onto Hotstreak's desk, even though she was no more than a few yards from it. Maybe she just wanted to demonstrate only a fraction of her abilities. Or maybe she was just too lazy at the moment. She was tired, after all that has happened thus far. But I digress. She also never liked to interject when Hotstreak was talking. Hell, after so many random arguments over the years, one just has to learn when to keep his or her mouth shut. And since Hotstreak had more of a challenge mastering this notion than she did, he was the one that usually slept on the couch. Such a memory would have caused her to chuckle to herself, but as of presently, this was a serious conversation. As her eyes then flicked over in Bunko's direction, she examined the younger girl, having quick flashbacks of when she was younger and with the last group of Quasar. God, how long ago that felt now. Ew, now she really felt old. Bleh. But when Hotstreak finished his complete monologue (frankly, that's what she thought it was), she turned towards everyone once more, sighing contently. "I will have some servants go out and find your comrades hiding in the bushes over yonder, but still, feel free to stay. As my partner had earlier discussed, we are more than welcome to have you. Also, it would be a wondrous opportunity to reconnect and to catch up and all!" She exclaimed brightly, clasping her hands together. She was always the more cheerful out of the two, but if one ever got her mad enough to lose that exterior, oh yeah, they were screwed. Hell, even Hotstreak had felt her wrath when he crossed the line she clearly set during mother nature's "monthly visit." Ha! Yes, she was still a hell raiser. "But in the meantime, I will have some of our other servants escort you out of our office and to the rooms you will be staying at. They are in the east wing, and the dining room is to the south. Don't worry, you'll figure it out. Hell, I had to when Hotstreak built this place," She giggled, sweetly. "Dinner should be made out soon, as well as other luxuries that we are so grateful to have. So yes, I'm sorry this seems a tad rushed, but well... it isn't every day where we have old friends stop by and stay~!" And with that, she turned, fixing her long robes as she did so, before she walked over to Hotstreak's side. With a smile, she touched his arm with her hand ginglerly, placing her head against his shoulder. "Just like ol' times, right m'love?" She asked in an endearing tone.

Bunko continued to cry, but found some comfort with Oomizu and Tomoe's efforts to console her. Even Hitomi seemed to sincerely care about her situation. Well not to say that she never did when she was a child, but after hearing all of these rumors about the Stone Pyre Inc. it was hard not to be a tad skeptical. But after a moment longer, she made herself realize that she was a grown woman and that she should behave like one. Besides, a conference room was the least comfortable place to just break down in. Shifting her shoulder as a signal for Oomizu to lift her head off of it, she took a moment to dry her tears and her nose, so that she could look at least a little normal after her near-breakdown. "Thanks for letting us stay the night, Hitomi. Hotstreak." She told him as she rubbed one eye. Damn, crying always made her tired.

While waiting for Hotstreak's answer, Hitomi giggled, glancing back at Bunko. "No problem! I always love having good company!"

Oomizu nodded to Hitomi. It was a good thing she didn't have to explain the situation to one person. Of course, Maverick and Jack would probably want to know what she was talking about when she had said some one needed her help. She didn't want them to know about Joseph or where she needed to go, but it might become unavoidable. For now, though, she was just going to work on getting the good and bad within her balanced again. Hehheh, fun. She felt Bunko move her shoulder and liftd her head off of the girl's shoulder. On her own shoulder now was Jack's hand. She rested her hand on top of his and rubbed it gently as a gesture of support to him as well. It'd been such a long time since... The Nina incident. To make it worse, neither had said anything about it since it had happened. This wasn't the way she had hoped that that would be brought up again. Oh well. What Hotstreak had said was true. A part of her still didn't forgive Emmett or Sesshomaru... Although, she knew it wasn't Sesshomaru's fault. She rubbed the blue stone that had been given to her a while ago out of habit she had picked up when she was younger and slightly stressed.

Luka looked around the room, feeling uncomfortable about the whole situation. Well, at least it seemed they wouldn't be getting themselves killed.... Hopefully.

Haku was starting to feel better. Even better, it seemed she had found some one just as discomforted when in a confrontation. That was nice. She didn't have many of her own family that was like that.

Gakupo seemed to be getting slightly uncomfortable. He hugged Kumajiro, trying not to hurt the bear in the process. "It's been really quiet..."
Meiko nodded to Gakupo. Sure, she had seen Luka and Haku didn't have their head phones on to tell them what was going on as it happened, but the silence was uncomfortable. "Should we go in?"
PostPosted: Wed Apr 28, 2010 4:13 pm

Maverick was listening intently on the conversation. what was Oomizu hidsecrets ing...it made him a bit worried to know she was already hiding from him... he sighed "Well... this is interesting... are the gods that corrupt?... what other things have they done..." he thought to himself. he looked over to Oomizu and smiled

"you can all stop hiding now" a girl spoke to the group hiding out side. she had just decloaked and was standing behind the group for quite some time. "The boss has talked to your friends and it was agreed for you all to stay the night"

Lord Inu eyed the girl quickly. how did he not sense her before?

Kratos jumped up "Woah! where did you come from!!" he yelled. "Umm... is that so... how do we know this isnt a trick?"

((The mental image of Hotstreak having to sleep on a couch because he pissed off Hitomi is making me smile like an idiot. lol))

"Almost like old times, yeah," Hotstreak agreed. "We just won't have everyone from the old gang. Like, I doubt any of us will ever see that Kain guy again. An' Gear's probably an old man and retired by now. I bet he got fat." It was supposed to be a joke. Smiling, he took Hitomi by the arm, and said one last thing before leading the two of them out. "See you guys at dinner." After he had closed the door behind them and was a good way down the hall, he turned to his girl and asked, "So I didn't come off as trying too hard, right? I know I got a bit wordy for a while there."

"I'm alright," Jack promised Oomizu. "We'll talk about what's eatin' you later, okay?" Like when they got out of this place and off camera, for one. They should be safe enough for now, though. Hotstreak could be trusted to always be looking out for his best interest, and if something happened to the group while they were here, it would get one side of this war very, very angry with him...

Medic jumped a little, having been startled by the girl. He only knew of one person who could vanish and reappear like that... "Do you sink she's a Spy?" He knew of at least one that was hired...

"Don't you think we should contact zhe others, to tell them zhat zhey shouldn't attack zhe servants sent out to find zhem?" Spy suggested.

"I got it," Jack replied. He brought up the watch given to everyone by Emmet (this one modified by himself), pushed a couple of buttons, and began speaking so that everyone outside could hear.
"Hey, guys, someone from the company's gonna go and get you and bring you here. We're gonna spend the night, since we - well, some of us - know the people that own it. They're gonna feed us and everything, so don't kill anyone."

((One line of brown text just so everyone knows who can hear it.))
